Jon M. Chu Talks G.I. JOE 3, Says Both Dwayne Johnson And Bruce Willis Are Returning
Director Jon M. Chu talks in-depth about the next G.I. Joe movie. He says a writer should be hired soon, a release date hasn't been figured out yet, and that both Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis are set to return. He also shares his thoughts on a potential Transformers crossover.
Speaking with Collider at San Diego Comic-Con last week, director Jon M. Chu talks in detail about the third G.I. Joe film. He says that a release date hasn't been decided on yet, but both Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson (Roadblock) and Bruce Willis (Joe Colton) are confirmed to return from Retaliation. Chu then states that they haven't finalized on whether or not they'll film the threequel in IMAX and/or 3D, and that a writer will be hired soon. The director discusses how the franchise's legacy will influence the next film, teasing new recruits and Hasbro's involvement. Finally, Chu says that he would love to see a Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover if their respective worlds can make sense of each other, and he confirms that he's still attached to helm a Masters Of The Universe reboot (where it fits onto his schedule with G.I.
