Y? Because I felt like it.
This is my first attempt at casting so bear with me. I know there are some seasoned professionals on this site so your input is welcomed.
I don’t know about anyone else but I am psyched about a Y: The Last Man movie. I didn’t read it until the whole series was in Graphic Novel form, and I’m glad because it would have sucked to have to wait each month for the next issue. So below are my cast picks.
First and foremost, for those that feel the need to cast Megan Fox in everything, this one’s for you. I present Megan Fox as the Hot Model Dead Body Dumping Garbage Truck Girl.
It’s a small role, but all she has to do is look hot, pick up dead bodies, and grab Yorick’s special place (Your welcome Shia.)
YORICK – Shia Labeouf
Pretty much already has the role and yes I just wanted an excuse to use his mugshot.
AGENT 355 – Alicia Keys
If you read previous articles on this site from LuV1138, you'll note that she is rumored as the top choice for producer JC Spinks. She can pull off the tough part of the character (see Smokin Aces), and she’s beautiful.
DR. ALLISON MANN – Stephanie Jacobsen
Have to thank Shaman for this pick. Previously I had Sandra Oh in the role. She wasn't the best looking choice, but I picked her based on her abilities as an actress.
Stephanie Jacobsen is definitely hotter, and can also deliver on the acting side.
HERO – Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel. Need I say more. Only drawback of her in this role, she will be uni-boob.
BETH (Girlfriend) – Kristen Bell
She has that Girl you bring home to your mom, long term girlfriend quality look to her.
BETH (Baby Momma) – Elisha Cuthbert
Beautiful, and has them child bearing hips.
ALTER – Cote de Pablo (from NCIS)
I was never a fan of NCIS until I sat down and watched a few episodes. She plays a great role as an Israeli NCIS officer. Plus she looks the part.
VICTORIA (Crazy Amazon Leader) – Laura Linney / Julianne Moore
I must admit I’m split on this one. Both great actresses and have the screen presence to where you believe they could command a group of fanatical crazy women. I guess this one comes down to who could play the best man hating woman.
NATALYA ZAMYATIN – Charlize Theron
Hot, great actress, and if I’m not mistaken she’s of European descent.
PRESIDENT MARGARET VALENTINE / REP. JENNIFER BROWN – Melora Hardin
Can’t decide which role she would be better for. I’m thinking the President, because she doesn’t seem old enough to have two grown children.
And last but definitely not least…….
AMPERSAND played by Marcel the Monkey
Acting resume includes “Friends”, “Outbreak”, and “Showgirls”. 2 out of 3 isn’t bad.
There’s just one thing. Marcel the Monkey is a female.
Well those are my picks. Obviously not all are main characters, but I included the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Lemme know what you think.
