FAN FIC: Possible ending for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?
My idea of what would be a very cool ending for The Dark Knight Rises, referencing a continuation?
By Boyle360 - 2/19/2012
My guess on the closing sequence of The Dark Knight Rises:
I reckon Batman will be 'killed' in some way. It will seem very much like he's dead somehow to both the audience and characters in the film. There will be a mourning sequence similar to the end of The Dark Knight in which Gordon will be paying tribute to the Batman. "He was brave, sacrificed himself for us, etc."
The screen fades to black for a few seconds. We see a distant light turn on, and someone's bare feet are walking down some steps in what appears to be a very large room. It's a man in shadows, carrying what appears to be a coffee mug. He comes closer to the camera and is lit up more. We don't see who he is yet, but we can see he's looking at something, admiring it.
The angle changes and we the Batsuit in a glass case, along with the old suit. The angle changes back and the see the man's face. It's Bruce Wayne, but in his early 50s. He's wearing a dressing gown or something, looking a little older and going grey.
The camera faces him, though the case. He looks to his right, and there is a little bit of red reflecting off of his eyes and the side of his face. He smiles and lowers his head before leaving the Batcave.
The lights shut down one by one until the lights in the glass cases are all that are still on. The lights in the cases turn off, and we see the shadows of not 2, BUT THREE Batsuits! There is a tiny hint of a red glow on the chest of the third suit, and it fades away.
CUT TO BLACK. ROLL CREDITS.
Just what I think would be cool, and a nice hint towards a Batman Beyond movie!
Let me know what you think of this in the comments below, and how do you think it would end?
