FAN FIC: Possible ending for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES?

My idea of what would be a very cool ending for The Dark Knight Rises, referencing a continuation?

My guess on the closing sequence of The Dark Knight Rises:

I reckon Batman will be 'killed' in some way. It will seem very much like he's dead somehow to both the audience and characters in the film. There will be a mourning sequence similar to the end of The Dark Knight in which Gordon will be paying tribute to the Batman. "He was brave, sacrificed himself for us, etc."

The screen fades to black for a few seconds. We see a distant light turn on, and someone's bare feet are walking down some steps in what appears to be a very large room. It's a man in shadows, carrying what appears to be a coffee mug. He comes closer to the camera and is lit up more. We don't see who he is yet, but we can see he's looking at something, admiring it.
The angle changes and we the Batsuit in a glass case, along with the old suit. The angle changes back and the see the man's face. It's Bruce Wayne, but in his early 50s. He's wearing a dressing gown or something, looking a little older and going grey.
The camera faces him, though the case. He looks to his right, and there is a little bit of red reflecting off of his eyes and the side of his face. He smiles and lowers his head before leaving the Batcave.
The lights shut down one by one until the lights in the glass cases are all that are still on. The lights in the cases turn off, and we see the shadows of not 2, BUT THREE Batsuits! There is a tiny hint of a red glow on the chest of the third suit, and it fades away.
CUT TO BLACK. ROLL CREDITS.

Just what I think would be cool, and a nice hint towards a Batman Beyond movie!
Let me know what you think of this in the comments below, and how do you think it would end?

@antonio
I was bored, so yeah! XD

@Vision
I could visualise it in my head and it looked awesome, I don't think I described it too well though. Yeah it doesn't really sound like something Nolan would do, but I wish he would!

its not going to happen ever, and it may seem cool, but think, for a moment or two, think, then watch the first 2 nolan bat films, then think some more, now does this fit at all with the lore, or the rules of this specified universe

I don't see what 'rules' it breaks. It just doesn't seem like something Nolan would do. Now that I think of it, it's very Marvel Studios style.

That would be pretty cool. Probably one of the only fan made ending I like. But it's not going to happen. This is the end of Bruce Wayne's story. There has to be that "we blew up Death Star II" type of ending. There has to be an end to terrorism. An end to fear. An end to chaos. And especially, an end to Bruce's pain, the pain he's suffered through his life since he's parents died. Catwoman plays a big role, sources have called her a "Joe Chill-type". And we all know Joe Chill's part in creating Batman. Time for a reversal!

Batman led to the rise in supervillains. After he defeats Bane and takes off the cowl, the police will be left with handling petty criminals. Bruce will do a reversal of falling down a well in BB, to climbing up the cylinder-interior-shaped entry to the prison seen in the trailer. Now we have Talia al Ghul. She returns to reinforce her father's idea of cleaning society through destruction. Why would Bruce stop her? He couldn't clean Gotham before, Ra's had a better track record.

I'm confusing myself. I have no idea how this will end. I'll slap myself in the face if TDKR ends with Batman jumping off a rooftop.

@antonio

LMAO!

Why do so many people want a Batman Beyond reference in this movie? The cartoon was pretty cool but it was a just cartoon show that lasted only three seasons. It does not belong on the same screen as a movie about the Dark Knight. If anything save it for an entirely separate movie. I have my doubts that we will ever see it though. If it was that popular they would have kept the series going a while longer.

@boyle thats what i was trying to say, it just isn't something nolan would do, its more of a comicbooky ending

i think they should show bruce's face reflected in the glass infront of the suit so it looks as if he is in the suit
