Has David Slade Already Found His New Daredevil?

The Eclipse director promised big news about his new Daredevil movie this week and I might have discovered what that is!

Okay, let me preface this by saying that this is not "official" news, hence the filing under the "Scoops" category. It is, however, an example of deductive reasoning. (If you don't know what that is, get out your dictionary.)

Here's what I came up with:

1. Last week, David Slade used his personal twitter account to promise that we can expect some "official news" this week about his new Daredevil movie.

2. Amidst rants about 3-D — "No I am not a fan of 3d and I need to write an essay as to why" — and his idea for a new body part-related acronym for Twilight fans — "BREASTS" for "Better Respect Edward and Swan Twilight Saga." — Slade tweets a solitary photo of an actor, Xavier Samuel, the young Australian that Slade cast as Riley in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

3. Xavier Samuel playing Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, in the new movie is the "news" that Slade was referring to!

Seriously people having "no-name" as the lead then surrounding him with bigger well establsihed actors works wonders. e.g. Thor. MCH would be great I doubt fox will go with him though. But I'll wait till I hear some thing official before I make any sort of judgement.

I watched that movie the other day with my 7 year old son and he told me the effect's were no good.That's the first time he has told me something about a movie's effescts and he watch'es Star War's 1 2 and 3 all the time.

The reason Eclipse sucked was because the story sucked so not much to work with but there was a lot of money to be made there. I await indifferently though to see this movie. I don't want to say anything to soon.

Jobs a job. As long as an actor can step up and fill the role i don't care, Heath Ledger was in chick flicks, Chris Hemsworth was in Aussie soap Home & Away for years, as long as the whoever they cast can inhabit the role on the screen, i couldn't care less who they are.

Who gives a shit if he was in a Twi-Shite film? Edi Gathegi was in two of them, and he was great in X-Men First Class for the brief time he was in it. In fact, I think he shouldve had a bigger part.

My picks though, i wouldn't mind Michael C Hall, though, not sure if anyone else has ever mentioned him but Jim Sturgess is 30, he's on the way up, will have to bulk up a little.

Most of the work was actually performed by Ovidio G. Assonitis, the film's producer and prolific film-maker. Assonitis was dissatisfied with Cameron's progress after the first week and took over. They kept his name on it all this time because, as we all know, he went on to become a tremendous director...so....you were all wrong.

He's a director who was offered a lot of money to direct a sequal to one of the biggest series of movies of all time. Do you really think he was going to turn that down? He'd be crazy not to. He already displayed his directing chops with his previous films so there is no need to worry about Twilight ruining his portfolio. The talent is there regardless of his making that movie or not. Hell, I hate Twilight, but from what I've seen of the previews for Eclipse that movie looks half-watchable. Considering the source material, color me impressed. Intruder- Why do you always have to start throwing insults? Can't you engage in a normal conversation without getting personal?
