Transformers: ROTF Tops $200 Million

TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN is the highest grossing June opener!


Despite the many trials and tribulations leading up to the release of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen--from star Shia LaBeouf's life-threatening injuries on and off the set during production, to leaked emails from director Michael Bay to studio execs attacking their lack of marketing-- the sequel to 2007's Transformers grossed an estimated $201 million in its first five days at the box office, the second best five-day opener after The Dark Knight. During the 3-day weekend, the film grossed an estimated $112 million.

According to Box Office Mojo, those numbers make Transformers: ROTF the film with the largest June opening and the highest-grossing non-holiday, non-Friday opening film. By comparison, the first Transformers film grossed $70.5 million in its 3-day opener and it took 12 days to reach the $200 million mark.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was also the highest grossing IMAX film ever, opening to the tune of $11.7 million over the 3-day and $14.4 million over the 5-day, eclipsing the IMAX opening of Star Trek.

The more money these movies make the better they get...
TF 1 did good so they up his budget to get more robots in it...

TF 2 did better so they will up his budget to get what we want...

Unicron/Cybertron and more...

This is a good thing..

Even no TF movie producers will give it a chance.

I have to say when I first heard about MB and SS doing a live action TF movie, I laughed and figured it would be a sack of shit.

I liked TF it was a fun movie to watch. I dont think TF2 is as good as TF though or as entertaining but when i watch these movies i go in with the mentality to not expect anything other than explosions and good action and that is what these movies produce
