1. I voted for the Destroyer-In case people don't know, Destroyer has easily outmatched both Thor and Hulk, he has taken on all kinds of gods and entities and won with EXTREME ease, he's got this no contest.

2. I voted for Ironman-The ONLY way Bane can do anything to him is if he specifically plans, designs and builds a perfect scenario where IM loses, and this fight they don't get prep (even if they did IM still wins, though Bane would create a scenario where he thinks IM would lose,he wouldn't know what to expect because IM gets prep too) Ironman wins with or without prep.

3. I didn't vote-I'm not familiar with V, so I don't want to make an ill informed vote.

Uh... Looking at IM and Spidey's stats and seeing that they have both been beaten by Batman, (sigh) I think it's time they go a few months having Batman + his sidekicks and villains excluded for a while. And see how things go.
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 5:54 AM
@UniBeam11 @Fennix122 While I do believe Batman (with some prep time) could beat Iron Man and Spidey, it is a bit ridiculous that Bats can defeat almost anyone. It stems from DC's scapegoat of using Bats as a monkey wrench in any one villain's plan. Look at Final Crisis.

Darkseid-"My plan is foolproof, what could possibly go wrong?"
*throws Batman into the mix*
JasonMD - 12/4/2012, 9:08 AM
Remember when batman beat Galactus, good times. lol batman i like you but your fans are idiots.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 9:57 AM
@dark kryptonian
Yes, given the proper resources and time Batman could beat Spidey, but Spidey and IM are pretty smart as well and given prep they could win too. So I agree Batman could win given the proper time and resources, but so could Ironman. It's good to see not all batman fans are stupid. :)
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 10:47 AM
@world breaker
Spider-Man is faster, stronger and more agile than Batman, the only way Bats could do it is if he has tons of prep, and Spidey gets prep too do it almost evens out.
LoudLon - 12/4/2012, 10:49 AM
Destroyer vs Wonder Woman -- Destroyer, definitely. Completely indestructible and powered by Odinforce.

Bane vs Iron Man -- with IM's repulsors and many other weapons Bane would never get within arm's reach. And even if he did, IM's armor makes him, at the very least, 20 times stronger than Bane. Consider this one Bane's Kobayashi Maru.

Hannibal King vs V -- with prep I give this to V, but not by much. If this were a fist-to-fist fight V wouldn't stand a chance.

The Batman vs Spider-Man debate: no way does Bats have a chance. Spidey would sense whatever trap, gadget or attack Bats might have planned and the Spidey's at least -- at least -- 10 times faster and more agile and about 20 times stronger. Throw in the webbing and Batman will probably last all of three seconds, and that's only if Spidey takes his time. As is, Spidey would have to pull his punches to 5% power just to keep from knocking Bats' head clean off his shoulders. No contest whatsoever.
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 12:20 PM
@LoudLon That's taking Spidey's strength a bit too far. That's Superman range right there. There have been situations in which Spidey couldn't lift rubble from off his back.

http://d1466nnw0ex81e.cloudfront.net/n_ii/600/881755.jpg

Batman could win with some major prep time, but it would take a helluva lot out of him. Same with Iron Man.
LoudLon - 12/4/2012, 1:18 PM
Not at all. Spider-Man can press 10 tons, according to the OHOTMU. Being generous, we'll say Bats can press 1,000 lbs. That's half a ton, making Spider-Man easily 20 times stronger.

And no amount of prep time is going to change the fact that Spidey's a pre-cog. Even if his spider-sense warns him with only seconds to spare, his speed and reflexes being 10x faster than the average joe gives him ample time to get out of the way. It's like giving an average guy 20 or 30 seconds. Bats may as just say, "Hey, man, just so you know, I'm about to throw a batarang at you" or "Yo, Spidey, I have a gas-bomb hidden inside that wall, might wanna watch yourself."

It's an unwinnable fight for Bats no matter how you cut it.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 1:42 PM
True LoudLon, Spidey is at least 10 times stronger than Bats (and I'm being SUPER generous) at minimum twice as fast and agile, Batmans hiding in the darkness and suddenly springing out of nowhere wouldn't work because of the spider sense, Batman would require months of prep to get a full understanding of what Spidey can of cant do. Plus Parker is a science geek as well, so if he gets months of prep as well It's still Spider-Man almost no contest.

Spider-Man vs Batman
Scenario:
Spider-Man walks down a street, Batman is hiding in the dark waiting to strike. Spidey "You know I can see you back there, you can't hide bat-freak!!" Suddenly Batman jumps out of the dark and Spidey moves out of his way (due to the Spider sense) Batman gets up and throws a batarang at Spidey, Spidey webs around the batarang. And uses it like a whip and stabs Batman in the neck with it. Batman is bleeding but he makes a noble attempt to fight Spidey by throwing a few judo moves, which hit and knock him over backwards. Spidey stands up and he's right next to a car. Spider-Man lifts the car comes up behind the bleeding, dying Batman and crushes him. END OF STORY.
AnungUnRama - 12/4/2012, 2:27 PM
Spidey vs Batman would basically be like a game of chess. Batman will attack or provide a trap but Spidey given his Spider-Sense will know about that and avoid it. Like when you/r king are/is given a check. You move your king to avoid being checked. But if any possible opportunity where you could go to avoid being checked (or in the battle's/spidey's case, to avoid one of Batman's traps) is also prepared, you are checkmate.

Not saying that's how such a fight will end. But even given the spider sense it's still possible to beat Spidey. And btw I don't think Spidey has never ever been hit by anything even though his spider sense should have warned him.

For today I'm with

#1: WW
#2: IM
#3: V (since there is prep time, without it I'd probably go with King)
LoudLon - 12/4/2012, 2:37 PM
But...Spidey's MORE than 10 times stronger. Spider-Man can officially lift 10 tons. This is stated clearly in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe.

Batman can officially lift 1,000 lbs according to DC wiki.

That's half a ton.

Half a ton x 20 = 10 tons.

Making Spider-Man 20 times stronger than Batman.

Also according to the OHOTMU, Spider-Man's reflexes and reaction time are roughly 10 times faster than the average man. Let's say with Bats' training, his reflexes and speed of movement are twice as fast as an average man. That still leaves Spidey being 5 times faster in reflexes and reaction time.

Spider-Man's reflexes are 10x times that of the average man. Using Deadliest Warrior estimates, the average person has a reaction time of .25 seconds -- that is, it takes a quarter of a second for an average person to perceive a threat and for their brain to signal their body to react to it. That mean's Spider-Man's reaction time is .025 seconds.

Let's say with Bats' training his reaction time is twice as fast as the average man's. That means he has a reaction time of .125 seconds. This means Spider-Man's reaction time is 5x times faster than Batman's.

The fastest punch ever recorded was by Frank Dux, with a speed of .12 seconds. Let's say Bats' can punch just as fast. That's .12 seconds to draw back his fist and swing. That's barely longer than it takes a person to blink.

If Spider-Man's standing directly in front of him, with his reactive speed of .025 seconds, he has five times longer to get out of the way of that punch than it takes Bats to swing that punch in the first place. And with Spidey's having 5x Bats' speed of movement, he can land five blows in the exact same amount of time as it takes Bats to swing just the one punch. Batman, if he were still standing by the time his arm reached its full extension, would be hitting empty air.

This is key in understanding how Spider-Man can defeat opponents who are so much stronger than him. It's been shown several times in comics that when Spider-Man attacks full on, it's like he's in multiple places at once, hopping around his opponent like a flea on steroids and whittling them down with one precise, faster-than-the-human-eye-can-perceive blow after another, until they crumple from the onslaught. He did it to Firelord. Absorbing Man. Rhino. Titania. And many others.

When fighting human-level opponents, Spidey pulls his punches so as not to knock their heads clean off their shoulders. Being 20 times stronger than Bats, Spidey would have to pull his punches to a mere 5% power just to match Bats' much lesser strength. If he were to hit him even slightly harder, you're talking shattered --not broken, SHATTERED -- bones and major reconstructive surgery.

Good thing Bats is rich. His HMO's going to charge him a fortune.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 3:00 PM
^^^^^
He's right, If Batman's HUMAN strength allows him to break through walls (it does) Spider-Man is AT LEAST 20 times his strength. He could knock his head off easily. I know it sounds stupid at first but it's true, I actually just looked it up and it says Batman's max strength is 800 pounds, so Spidey is actually MORE than 20 times his strength. All of Batman's traps and gadgets wouldn't work because of Spider-Sense
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 3:02 PM
@LoudLon Now that's a well researched answer. I accept defeat.

Now how the hell did Batman beat Spidey here?
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 3:04 PM
Unless anyone can specifically name a gadget that Batman has which can cancel out Spider-Sense. My conclusion is Spidey hands down.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 3:08 PM
@dark kryptonian
I asked that question last time. The answer was DFS (Deluded Fanboy Syndrome) its good that your on here and your a Batman fan which is not acting like a fool. That's rare in these polls. But yeah crazy bat-fans (no offense dude) vote for him even when he fight Galactus.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 3:31 PM
@TheWitness
I have a request
Nick Fury vs Deathstroke
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 5:22 PM
@Fenix122 I would love to see Fury vs Deathstroke, as much as I'd love to see the Comedian vs Deathstroke!

But yeah, I see what you mean about the crazy Bat-fans. I think Batman's one of the most badass superheroes ever, but honestly, he can't do everything, or beat everyone. He's not superhuman. The fact that he knows he has limits and knows that he can be beaten gives him the drive to do better, which in turn makes him a better character. Making him unstoppable drives him into the ground.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 6:09 PM
@Dark Kryptonian
Yeah, when I was a really little kid Batman was my favorite, when I got older he still easily made my top 5. But now im jaded towards him, it's a weird feeling cuz I really want to like him, but some of these people (on and off this website) are truly driving me insane almost forcing me to hate him. It's weird cuz that I never had any experience with bat-nuts pre-Nolan, part of me thinks that those movies had something to do with the madness. (those were great films by the way)

My other idea was Comedian vs Punisher.
Punisher is slightly more skilled, but Comedian is slightly more strong. I think it'd be an awesome fight.

TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 6:19 PM
@Fenix122 I love Nolan and the Arkham games, but those definately helped fan the flames. Its kinda ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, Batman can hold his own against many, many people, but when he's defeating Galactus and the Anti-Monitor single handedly, that's taking it way too far.

Galactus and the Anti-Monitor would make a great fight IMO. So would The Comedian vs the Punisher, or Rorschach vs the Punisher.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 6:48 PM
Hm... Rorschach vs Punisher underestimates Punisher, Rorschach is awesome but he doesent have the mad skill that Punisher and Comedian have.
I was thinking Punisher vs Comedian and Rorschach vs The Mask, Doctor Manhattan vs The Phoenix is another good one.
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 7:09 PM
@Fenix122 Hmm, the Phoenix as in the malevolent force who possesed Jean Grey with near infinite power? Doctor Manhattan would have a tough old time. I actually don't know who'd come out the victor. And speaking of the Mask...
The Mask vs Loki?
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 7:37 PM
Well Doc Manhattan is basically god, Phoenix (Jean Grey) is basically one too except it's not as passive as Doc Manhattan. Im not sure who would win, initially Phoenix has the upper hand but Doctor Manhattan is LEAGUES smarter than Phoenix (And Jean is a pretty smart girl) Actually the Mask is way too inconsistent, in some adaptations he is about the same overall as Rorschach, in others he is an incredibly powerful ancient being who can bend reality, go at super speeds etvc. Actually now Rorschach vs Mask doesent seem like a good idea anymore, maybe Rorschach vs Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) or Rorschach vs Green Hornet, and Loki vs Mask is a good fight. Let's just say Mask in the strongest adaptation he's ever been is on par with Loki, so that's definitely a good one. (unless it's a different adaptation of the Mask) How about Green Lantern vs Thor, it hasn't been done yet I don't think. They both have their powers because only that are "worthy" and they are both Alpha-Level cosmic fighters.
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 7:50 PM
@Fenix122 True true, but I'd have to give the win to Thor, considering how powerful Mjolnir is. It could smash through Hal's hard light constructs. Or could it? I mean, if Superboy-Prime could smash through multiple Green Lantern walls with ease, would Thor's hammer crush it? And if the situation ever arose, would Hal be able to lift Mjolnir in battle?
TheDarkKryptonian - 12/4/2012, 7:51 PM
And I think Doc Manhattan could come out on top withJean. He could just as easily disperse the atoms that make up Jean's host body, but of course, that'd release an unrestrained Phoenix...
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 8:14 PM
Yeah that would suck for him, an unrestrained Phoenix YIKES!
How about we have a mirror fight Rorschach vs The Question.
How about Batman vs Daredevil. Initially it seems Batman has upper hand but DD's super senses could give him a big advantage. Plus he is pretty much just as skilled as Batman. But Batman has him in the brain department. But it seems it go either way.
LoudLon - 12/4/2012, 10:09 PM
We've done Mask vs Loki. I believe Loki won that, based on the fact that the mask was created by Loki (not the Marvel Comics Loki, the historic Norse God Loki). Still, since MC Loki is based on HNG Loki, it stands to reason that in some alternate reality MC Loki created the mask.

Or something like that. I forget how we broke that one down LOL

Doc Manhattan vs Phoenix -- I'd give that one to Doc. The Phoenix Force needs a physical host to manifest itself, and it would be a cinch for Doc to simply teleport any potential host to the other side of the globe. And even if the Phoenix Force did find a host and the two went at it, Doc could conceivably disintegrate the host body, leaving the Phoenix Force afloat (as it were). Whereas if Phoenix were to vaporize Doc, he can just put himself right back together again. And considering Doc exists on a quantum level, meaning he basically occupies multiple plains of existence simultaneously, who's to say that anything Phoenix threw at him would have any effect on him at all?

Whether he realized it or not, Alan Moore created quite likely THE most powerful character in all of comics when he created Doc Manhattan. Not even Batman can beat him (gasp!).

As for the rest of the Watchmen characters, while they are psychologically complex and fascinating as written, with the exception of Ozymandias none of them seem all that exceptional in terms of skill. They can handle street gangs, muggers, rapists and a lounge magician with pointy ears, but there is never any indication that any of them are bad-ass enough to go toe-to-toe with other human characters like Batman, Captain America, Daredevil, etc.
GuardianDevil - 12/4/2012, 10:52 PM
Best watchmen characters

Rorschach-His popularity has SOARED far above any other characters.

Ozymandias-Able to handle some real tuff stuff, one of the two watchmen characters who could handle himself with the likes of Batman, Daredevil etc.

Doctor Manhattan-Easily the most powerful superhero ever.

Comedian-Awesome fighter, I think he could at least mess around with Batman and Cap. Just a little bit though.

TheDarkKryptonian - 12/5/2012, 3:26 AM
Yeah, with Nite Owl, he was more of a "tools to get the job done" kinda person, instead of a Batman mentality character. Who most definately, no way in hell, could beat Doctor Manhattan.

Comedian is also very skilled, evidenced by the fact that he did in fact beat a very young Ozymandias.
rottencotten - 12/5/2012, 8:37 PM
First thing I want to say is you two need to stay on topic lmao...

Today I have to agree with @Anung on all the fights...

Wonder Woman- I know the blast of the Destroyer is mighty, but if given the chance to use her lasso, Diana could tie it up and render it defenseless...

Iron Man- One pulsar-blast and Bane is down...

V- King has way too many weaknesses V can exploit...

Lobo for the battle...
