Cap vs Hellboy -- I give this one to Cap. He's taken down Spider-Man with little effort; Hellboy has Spidey's same strength level but is nowhere near as fast or agile and doesn't have a spider-sense. Cap's shield can handle any weaponry HB might use against him, which leaves HB having to resort to hand-to-hand, in which case he'll swing and miss all day while Cap whittles him down with one precision blow after another. I'm a fan of Hellboy, love the comics and movies both (though I always go by the comics version), but I can't remember a time when he ever went up against a total package like Cap. Long fight, but Cap for the win.

Booster Gold vs Wolverine -- Wolverine's claws don't mean squat against BG's force field. He'd never lay a hand on him. Meanwhile, BG's got myriad offensive weaponry to ruin Wolverine's day, plus his super-strength. I call BG by knock-out.

Aquaman vs Colossus -- rematch 'em all you want, Colossus would be Arthur's worst nightmare -- a metal man who's way stronger, can hold his breath for hours and doesn't rust. On the land or in the sea, I give this one to Big Pete.

As usual my friend you are the voice of reason in the ways of CBM battles.
AnungUnRama - 12/10/2012, 9:05 AM
#1: I'll go with Hellboy on this one. Cap is at peak of human conditions, but HB is above human. Plus HB is far from being a stupid monster. So Cap wouldn't outsmart him too easily. With prep time Cap might take this though.
#2: Loudlon convinced me on this one.
#3: I think AM takes this. He is strong enough to bend metal or break metal doors. So that wouldn't be that much of a problem. AM on the other hand is far beyond human physiology, too. He is capable to withstand the pressure of the deepest oceans in more than 11 km depth i. e. more than 1100 kg per square centimeter. Beside that AM is much faster than Colossus and posses further abilities. And even though Colossus can hold his breath for hours he would need to hold it for weeks when he was flushed to the middle of the Pacific Ocean until he would be able to walk to the next island.

Hellboy vs Captain America. Hellboy for the win indestructible hand,super strenght,and nigh invulnerable vs indestructible sheild, peak human strenght and agility evenly match but without knowledge on the enemy Cap is endanger Hellboy is an opponnent you wouldn't want to learn about while fighting.
Booster Gold vs Wolverine. Booster would win future tech with real time info net vs indestructible bones and a healing factor. Wolverine can still feel pain while Booster suit is like Superman and Ironman power sets in one body suit.
Aquaman vs Colossus.Tough call both are formidable opponents. Super strong , tactical,and near invulnerablility this coul go either way.
Pokeysteve - 12/10/2012, 10:04 AM
Leaning towards Hellboy but unsure.
Booster's tech is better than Logan's claws.

Third fight is good. I think Aquaman wins though. Pre52 Aquaman slaughters Pete. N52 Aquaman could probably take 6/10. Assuming they have their standard equipment. Arthur shanks him with his Trident. Other than that he's faster and much more agile. He could possibly give him a seizure too.

Almost a clean-sweep for Marvel today...

I'll take all the ones on the right again today...

Hellboy- All of his guns will be useless...Knowing Cap...at one point he will try to throw his shield at Hellboy which will get deflected...then it comes down to a hand-fight...and I don't care how much you like Cap...He's not winning against the Hand of Doom...

Wolverine- Booster Gold's Force-Field isn't indestructible...Knowing his powers & abilities...Logan would go Berserker and slash-away at his tech until it malfunctions and no-more Force-Field for Gold...which would result with him getting gutted...Because of Wolverine's Healing-Factor there isn't much Booster can do to him...

Colossus- One-touch dehydration won't work...Telepathy won't work...they are inside of a building...Looks like a fist-fight for Arthur...The longer he stays out of water...the weaker he becomes...the more easy it is for Pete to crush him...

Green Lantern :Hal Jordan for the battle...I'm glad he's in the top-ten but he should be in the top-five!!..
GuardianDevil - 12/10/2012, 2:14 PM
I agree with LoudLon's choices, spot on for me.
Minato - 12/10/2012, 6:56 PM
Ok quick observation
Ive read peoples explanation of the 3rd fight and it seems that people don't believe Aquaman is no where near as strong as Colossus.

While I know Namor when Toe to Toe with Hulk himself... Why do people think Aquaman vs Namor would be an even fight?
Minato - 12/10/2012, 6:58 PM
BTW Steve, Logan, Peter
GuardianDevil - 12/10/2012, 7:37 PM
@Hush
I get what you are saying, but I say Namor wipes the floor with Aquaman.
LoudLon - 12/10/2012, 8:52 PM
@Hush -- if it'll help those folks having trouble, let's break it down for them.

Somewhere online I read AM supposedly has the strength of 150 men. Other members have stated this in Fight Club, as well. So...

Say the average man can press 200 lbs. 150 x 200 lbs = 30,000 lbs = 15 tons.

Colossus is Class 100 level. Meaning he can press in excess of 100 tons. Making him approximately 6.66 times stronger than Aquaman.

Aquaman is bulletproof. But Colossus can withstand heavy artillery and mortar rounds.

Aquaman can breathe underwater. Colossus can hold his breath for hours. That's plenty of time to fight, so this is a non-factor.

I'd give Aquaman the advantage in reaction time and speed of movement, but it's not like he's The Flash.

Aquaman man weakens the longer he's out of water. Colossus can exert himself for days without tiring.

Brass tacks: this is the comic book equivalent of a fish vs a sledgehammer. AM can wail on Colossus all day long and not make a dent. All Colossus has to do is connect once, and SPLAT -- AM's dead in the water (heh).
Pokeysteve - 12/10/2012, 9:17 PM
@the people underestimating Aquaman.

He's every bit as strong as Pete. A cruise ship definitely weighs more than 15 tons. And the amount of damage this fight is going to cause will definitely break some water lines. He has his Trident here too which he used to stab Darkseid.

@Hush2010
Booster's force fields took a hit from Doomsday and with the strength enhancements his suit gives him, he can lift a 747. Logan has no chance.
LoudLon - 12/10/2012, 9:52 PM
^^^ Not hating or anything, but Aquaman's yet another DC A-lister whose power set has been inconsistently written since day one. One issue he can uproot a building, another issue he struggles with lifting a car. One issue he can punch out Superman, another issue Blue Devil's giving him a run for his money (and Blue Devil's only as strong as 20 men).

Average that out and you've got a strength level that's pretty much in-line with the 150 men thing. But screw it, let's make him twice as strong as that, just for the hell of it. No, screw THAT -- three times stronger, giving him FAR more credit than we should be giving him -- and he's still way out-classed by Colossus.
Pokeysteve - 12/11/2012, 10:03 AM
Writers have characters struggle with stuff for the sake of suspense. Superman is always gritting his teeth.

I agree Namor beats Aquaman though.
