Zola- Scarecrow's attacks are inconsequential to him.

Booster's forcefields and blasters make short work of Skull.

Captain America- Captain Cold is like a weak Mr. Freeze. At least Freeze is super strong in his suit and protected. One Shield to the face and Cold is out. Plus Cap use's grenades, guns etc. So even if Cold Freezes the shield cap busts out his side arm and puts two shots center mass two shots to the head.

If Kitty can hear while intangible then BC wins this. She could easily phase before the sound wave hits but as previously stated, would do her little good. If she doesn't hear then she could win. So BC.

First of all, I say Kitty and Canary meet in the middle agree not to use their powers and duke it out.(both are accomplished martial artists) In that scenario BC wins.

However Kitty's power is essentially Quantum tunneling.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_tunneling

This can be explained by using Heisenbergs Uncertainly priciple to explain as:
"In quantum mechanics, the uncertainty principle is any of a variety of mathematical inequalities asserting a fundamental limit to the precision with which certain pairs of physical properties of a particle known as complementary variables, such as position x and momentum p, can be known simultaneously."

This uncertainty can be described by the use of Schrodingers equation due to the fact that quantum tunneling is an evanescent-wave solution

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schr%C3%B6dinger_equation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evanescent_wave_coupling#Evanescent_wave_coupling

Given that the "Canary cry" is a sinusoidal wave and a result of the interaction of Kitty's quantum tunneling and the Canary's cry is an interaction of two waves that can be described as a Fourier transform.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heisenberg_uncertainty_principle#Wave_mechanics_interpretation

When "Those in which the evanescent wave couples two media in which traveling waves are allowed, and hence permits the transfer of energy or a particle between the media (depending on the wave equation in use), even though no traveling-wave solutions are allowed in the region of space between the two media. An example of this is so-called wave-mechanical tunnelling, and is known generally as evanescent wave coupling."

So she should hypothetically speaking be able to pass through the wave. Please don't ask me to do the math. My head hurts as it is. ;)

OH and science trumps all. Except magic. Cause that crap is CRAZZZYYYY! ;)

yeah but at the end of the day science doest NOT trump continuity because science in the Marvel/DC universes are different than reality. If there is a record of Kitty falling to sound attacks then i accept that she can still hear while intangible therefore canary wins easy

^Except that shoddy writing shouldn't and in my mind doesn't trump logic.
It's all about suspension of disbelief and considering the science is supposed to be a extrapolation of reality and that phasing of a human is the science fiction version of quantum tunneling and that the cry is the science fiction version if a human could acoustically accomplish said feat. Even in the DC and Marvel world science has it's place. It could thus be seen and shown that the writer was a bit of an idiot and did so for only for the stories purpose. As this fight is in the hypothetical and the only quantifiable measures of these two combatants are their abilities. These abilities as previously stated have their roots in science. As previously shown the interaction of these two abilities would result in the evanescent wave coupling to pass through the acoustic wave.
In conjunction with this I could see Spiderman, Iron Man or Mr. Fantastic being able to determine the rate and nature of Kitty's Quantum tunneling and either creating a device to mimic it or be able to circumvent it. This would be more reasonable and satisfy both story and reason and logic.

Kitty phase's through Canary's cry and throat slams her.

Plus continuity is such a cop-out answer. If that were the case then the crossovers that have occurred over the years are canon and many of the fights seen here are already determined. However, most people still refute many of those fights and as such continuity is only one determining factor and not the end all be all.

^HA how did I lose you I was pretty clear at the end. Plus I just showed how a modern day understanding of Quantum mechanics could be extrapolated to explain how Kitty uses and has her powers. My point being some of this "fantasy" isn't as crazy as some would think. (Not that I think people will be walking through walls any time soon. You're right that story is important, but it's not the end all be all. Plus how many times have you complained of inconsistent powers and of bad writing?
