With Warner Brothers set to reboot the franchise after the incredible success of Christopher Nolan's 'The Dark Knight Trilogy', do you think the next big screen outing of the Caped Crusader should re-tell the origin story of Bruce Wayne becoming Batman?

Sound off with your thoughts on what approach the next Batman movie should take and what your hopes are for a re-telling of the origin story. Or, if you're one of those opposed to the idea of the origin story being told again, comment on why you think the origin story isn't needed and what you would like to see from the reboot.

If I were to do it, I'd have the movie begin with Bruce's parents being shot, a quick montage in the credits to tell the rest of the origin (ala The Incredible Hulk), and then cut right into Batman kicking ass.

They should have Bruce see glimpses of his parents beeing killed but not show the whole thing. That is something I didn't really like in The Amazing Spider-Man is that they showed his whole origin all over again and it was pretty similar to the original one.

As mentioned in the post before mine tell it early but don't spend too much time on it.

We need a well established universe from the begining, just like Arkham City, so that u can use any character, the origin can be done like in TIH

BB told the origin perfectly and TDK showed more of it: The batsuit still improving, the bat cave not yet finished. Even though I really like TDKR it bothers me that Nolan didn't finish the origin trilogy so a new staff could have taken over to bring Bats to a shared DCCU. So "ignore" TDKR for the time being (not because it wasn't good - it was - but because a tetelling the origin again as well as as full reboot would suck) and continue where TFK left off. Recast the Joker. Let the new actor not interpret the character himself but tell him to do it like Ledger did and credit him as "John Smith as Heath Ledger as the Joker". And when the new Batman take comes to an end (after JL), try to fix as much continuity issues as possible with TDKR and let that one be Bats "final problem".

No way, I would rather see Spider-man's origin again.

Batman has been done twice in film now and it is a long, emotional origin that takes too long to do properly and would look cheesy in an opening credits montage. Just skip it all together.

Imagine if every time a new story was done in comic book form you had to read page after page of origin before the story started? It is unneccessary for characters that have been around for decades.

Opening Scene: Wayne Family Tragedy.
No need for "training" scenes.
