I dream of the day when I see Punisher, Deadpool, Domino, Cable, Wolverine and Sinister all in the same film...

Marvel is busy withe 13 other projects right now.
New Punisher movie is dead as we speak.
Same with Daredevil.

I would love to see Punisher: Year One adapted to the big screen.
See you in a couple of years Frank. 2020, maybe ?

I don't know that we'll see another Punisher movie anytime too soon. As soon as Marvel got it back they turned right around and sharted out a TV license to Fox for a pilot. Remember? The one with Frank Castle as a cop by day and The Punisher at night? Yeah, let us be grateful that never managed to happen.

I'd like to chalk it up to the same mistake WB almost made with George Miller and Justice League before they came to their senses in terms of half hazard decisions. Hopefully Marvel will be a bit more careful with the character, but I honestly see The Punisher ending up as a cable series if something happens with the character anytime soon.

If not, then they'll likely sit on it awhile longer before going forward theatrically unless someone shows up and pitches a truly inspired idea.

Even though there has been three actors who have played The Punisher, to me there is only one:

Thomas Jane.

Love Gale Ann Hurd. Amazing body of work and a very nice woman in person

I think Ray Stevenson is hardly recognizable in Thor films so if they put The Punisher in a film,it would be nice to use Ray again.

Ray looked & sounded like Frank Castle.
Only trouble is a new Punisher movie would have to occur in the next 2-3 years or Ray may be too old..but Frank is believable as an older vigilante so even at 50 yrs old Ray could portray him.

She is very smart. I loved the great answer about the journey of the central character.

As for Punisher, Death Wish 1+2 are great vigilante films and better than any Punisher film could ever be. They would never have the balls to make a Punisher like Death Wish 2. But if a Punisher was done right, it would have to be like Death Wish 2 which had a real gritty, grimy, authentic feel to it. It didnt have the Hollywood stylish fake looking BS.

Tom Jane for the win. Anyone see the short he did as Punisher?

Punisher would make a great TV series if it had the tone of the Walking Dead.

The Punisher is one of my favorite characters, I hope Marvel gives him the movie he deserves one day. Until then, the 2004 version is my favorite.

Obviously hes with Marvel Knights, but that shouldnt mean it cant be apart of the MCU too. The entire MCU cant be all bloodless, hopefully they start wading into DD, Punisher, Blade, Moon Knight, Luke Cage, etc.

I would love if Marvel would start pumping out movies like Punisher and Daredevil that don't necessarily take place in the Avengers universe

Blade's never been a part of the Marvel Knights line.

I never thought about how many bad interviews are being done in the media until I see a good one like this. He got more info out of her then she intended to give without slobbering all over her with empty compliments or being a jerk. He struck a good balance. So I was actually more impressed by the interviewer then anything else.

This woman may know more than expected. Is it possible that Marvel Studios DOES indeed have an "R" rated cinematic Universe in the works?

Get her and the people from "The Wire", or "The Sopranos" to bring "Frank Castle,The Punisher" to life on the samll screen on cable.

I think Marvel should set up a Marvel Knights arm of their movie studio to make films like The Punisher and Daredevil, films that are in the same universe as the current MCU but take place on the mean streets. Make Daredevil the hub character like Iron Man is to the regular MCU and build up to a Marvel Knights team-up w/DD, Punisher, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Black Panther (have him be the/a link to the rest of the MCU), Luke Cage, Iron Fist etc. If any of those characters appear onscreen within my lifetime, I will die a happy man :)

I'd read somewhere, on this website I believe, that Kurt Sutter had done a screenplay for The Punisher (before Ray Stevenson's came out) that put Frank in a real world setting on the streets of New York. It was supposed to be gritty realism and violent beyond words. After watching The Shield and SOA, I believe Sutter would've done Punisher justice!! I've searched and searched for Sutter's screenplay online and evidently it's unavailable.

Unless some other fellow geek out there HAS a link or a copy of the screenplay they'd be willing to share....? lol

Anyone else remember Thomas Jane's performance in The Crow: City of Angels as the camera freak as well as his appearance in Face/Off with Nicholas Cage and John Travolta? He played a prison inmate in that. Almost entirely unrecognizable in both films!

I really wish Thomas Jane and Jonathan Hensleigh had made The Punisher 2 with Jigsaw as a villain. I thought Ray Stevenson was alright, but would have been way better with a better script and direction. All Punisher: War Zone did was ensure that we didn't get another Punisher movie for a LONG time.

Maybe Thomas Jane as Punisher along with a new casted Ghost Rider where they go to hell and have to kill a demon. I'm really tired of all the hero's marvel has put out, considering they always have to save the damn world. Why cant we just get a good small story of personal vendetta/ vengeance?
