Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson's team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage; Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), expert pilot and martial artist; Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), brilliant engineer; and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge), genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker, Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel’s first television series, is from executive producers Joss Whedon (Marvel's The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, who co-wrote the pilot (Dollhouse, Dr.Horrible's Sing-Along Blog). Jeffrey Bell (Angel, Alias) and Jeph Loeb (Smallville, Lost, Heroes) also serve as executive producers. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

@MrGod

I agree it looks way too cheesy. I would honestly love to see a television show become a movie like Daredevil, Punisher, Heroes for Hire or something that's just plain gritty and away from the kiddie Disney/Marvel Studios universe.

The whole idea of having Coulson return from the dead is retarded...lol His role in the Avengers was pathetic and I had no sympathy for his character at all. I'd rather watch another season of "Heroes" and that how was actually great until the 3rd season.

Lol bunch of whiners and d-bags on this forum. I can't wait for this show to air and further complement the already growing marvel universe. STFU with your BS negativity and never ending marvel vs DC horse shit. Enjoy these movies and shows while you can because it may not last forever.

I'm surprised there are people who have already watched the show to know it's an abomination. I'm also surprised that people actually thought Coulson died in The Avengers. Not once did I buy into that while watching the film.

@Ranger14 Loki stabbed him through his chest using his scepter. How is he supposed to alive after that? Explain....
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 6/29/2013, 11:29 PM
Mike89@ how many films are we led to believe someone has died when they haven't? We are dealing with Shield and advanced technology and Fury had the medics come get him and referred to him as down, which doesn't necessarily mean dead to me. Add in the fact it is a comic book movie. Characters don't always die when they appear to have died.
Mike89
Mike89 - 6/29/2013, 11:36 PM
@Ranger14 He got killed off. His death forced the Avengers to work together to stop loki and in a way "Avenge" him and........now hes alive? That makes sense..

Of course it makes sense
a least to anyone familiar with comics and the genre
And how about we wait to see them explain it
And it can also add to what makes the Avengers
want to separate themselves from SHIELD in the future

Fury used his apparent death to manipulate the team together, true to the character of Fury.

As just mentioned...Bucky seemed to have died....no wait...he didn't. Bane appeared to die in TDKR, but did he really? Would they kill off Bane even though it was the end of the franchise? Did the Lizard really die in TASM? Perhaps we are led to believe comic book characters die when they really don't. Shouldn't come as no surprise when you are dealing with comic book material.

Lmboooo, how is that even going to happen if all focus is on the humans??? I'll wait...exactly that's what I thought. Honestly I could give a [frick] less about this show, I appreciate your compassion for wanting people to enjoy it however I refuse to settle for crap. You can be brainwashed if you want.

From the sound of it the only ties this will have to the Marvel Universe is Agent Coulson. Yeah I am sure they will mention Hulk, Thor, IM, and the New York incident to get the fanboys panties wet. But I am sure it will end there, they will make up villains and heroes for the show.

People are only going to watch this to see them adapt Comic book characters, hero's, and villains. If they don't get that like they do on Arrow, there's gonna be a lot of people tuning out. I hope I'm wrong but this show just seems like Wheedon's ego gone crazy and I'm a big fan of Joss's work.

Reviving Coulson is just stupid. Don't give me that whole "It is based on a comic book" or "Bucky lives" crap. Bucky lives because he is a character in the comics and has a story arc behind him. Coulson isn't a comic book character and should be treated as a human being. When a blade goes through your chest you die.
