Now this was awesome I loved that they came up with their nicknames instead of getting them from the media

can't say I'm a fan of this just yet, too faithful to the 60's comic and not in a good way. the camp-factor is so overbearing and some of it reminds me of Tim Story films when the cracking wise is all pop-culture references and not science-based. some of the plot progression sounds exactly like a novelization of the 2005 film with the minor additions of HERBIE and ...this new Salia character I'm not familiar with. the writing is sometimes a little redundant, when you don't compartmentalize and separate characters into different scenes there's a constant need to specify who said what i.e. said Johnny, answered Susan. but the characters voices are done so well, shouldn't it be obvious to the reader who is saying what to whom?

I've been skipping a lot of chapters so I don't see the master plan unfolding, but the space exploration feels very rushed and their objective was so unclear. there are literally 1,000,000 ways this story hasn't been told before that I'd like to see, let's say they crash-landed in the Negative Zone or the Skrull Throneworld? there could be character-driven conversations about the lore, the sci-fi, the plot and the reader could learn something new instead of being spoonfed these by-the-numbers archetypes. I'd rather see them cracking wise about alien culture, Reed's gadgets, cosmic villains, tackling big concepts with small-talk and what not, keep it fresh.
