Yesterday I brought you the first video from the Superman: Man of Steel green screen shoot, and today I am happy to bring you another, much longer, more action packed video.

This time we see Cavill getting pumped up and then filing the scene just before the steel work falls - there is a lot of special effect flashing in this video too. Finally we see Superman rescuing the workers at the end. Enjoy!

BEWARE: THERE IS A NASTY WORD ABOUT 6 SECONDS IN... BAD MAN...

Man Of Steel, starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Julia Ormond, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne with Christopher Meloni and Harry Lennix, the reboot is slated for theaters June 14th, 2013!

@TheIrishSuperman
the teaser trailer will be release around mid-2012.
blvdnoise - 10/28/2011, 4:30 AM
Obviously, He's preventing the chopper pad from falling in some form or fashion. CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!

I call the teaser's TEASER dropping on Superbowl Sunday..
Official trailer before TDKR.
blvdnoise - 10/28/2011, 4:39 AM
On second thought after watching the whole video, He's obviously NOT Holding up the chopper pad. More so just pumping up for the scene. Probably just helping locals. Now I feel kind of douchey for leaving my first comment. LOL

Still CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS MOVIE!
BooYah - 10/28/2011, 4:40 AM
^^^^ Probably right.

Supes17 - 10/28/2011, 5:44 AM
It's WAY to early for a trailer. MOS comes out in June 2013. Which is more than a year and a half away
xXkryptoniteXx - 10/28/2011, 6:49 AM
Teaser well come out but won't show nothing to spoil the final product, I hate when teasers show the exciting part of the movie.
Fantine - 10/28/2011, 8:13 AM
Ohhh this takes place on an Oil Rig. Obviously something has broken and Superman has flown out to save them.

You could be right about Cavill being the best Superman, but Routh was all around much bigger. Routh was like 6'4" 230 lbs when they were finished working him out for the role. The problem was his suit was really tight and thats why it seemed like his muscles were supressed.
alpineslide - 10/28/2011, 8:48 AM
Some of you guys are far to hard on Routh. He didn't play Superman...he played Christopher Reeve playing Superman. If you watch Superman Returns with that mind set you'll likely see that he did a terrific job with the role he was given and directed to play. If you don't like the movie blame the director, not Routh. Routh played his role as Christopher Reeve playing Superman perfectly.
vermillion - 10/28/2011, 8:57 AM
Henry Cav-El is going to be the best Superman, me thinks. :D
rbfn04 - 10/28/2011, 8:59 AM
@KNIGHT300 I'd add that the suit was made of a thicker material and didn't have padding (yes, Cavill's has padding. If not to add size, to add definition thru the fabric)

Man, I miss the days I could do pull ups without my shoulder popping out... :(

@TheQuestion Why he's shirtless? Have you seen who's the director for this movie? Dude has a hard-on for shirtless guys...
QuietStorm - 10/28/2011, 9:15 AM
can anybody get a screen cap or two for those of us who have firewalls for the vids at work. yea i know. rubbish!
rbfn04 - 10/28/2011, 9:18 AM
@QuietStorm remeberthose pics of Cavill in front of the green screen?

It's a video of that shoot ;)
BatSlam - 10/28/2011, 9:33 AM
after 3 articles of pictures from this shoot, and now 2 videos. I don't really care about this green screen copter shot. Boring, go back to showing me some action pictures of him in supes suit.
QuietStorm - 10/28/2011, 9:41 AM
@rbfn04 See what happens when im worried about work instead of using any cognitive reasoning for this cbm board lol *facepalm*
rbfn04 - 10/28/2011, 9:44 AM
@QuietSTorm nah, it's cool man. If I couldn't see the video at work prollywouldn't think it was from the pics we had yesterday. it's all good
Fracture - 10/28/2011, 1:09 PM
I dunno, it seems like he lost his powers.
TheDetectiveComicRises - 10/28/2011, 1:45 PM
I am glad to see this, glad DC getting good films together like The Dark Knight Rises & The Man of Steel!

nowtheresaBATman - 10/28/2011, 6:07 PM
@knight3000 That's a bunch of melarkey. I'd like to see Routh's ketchup & mustard costume supress Cavill's muscles.
nowtheresaBATman - 10/28/2011, 6:10 PM
Cavill could've snapped Routh in half even before the trainer. Routh's a damn wimp.
Facade - 10/28/2011, 7:21 PM
Perhaps I'm missing something: am I to understand Cavill doing chin-ups qualifies as "action packed?"
rbfn04 - 10/28/2011, 7:27 PM
@nowtheresBATman dude, Routh's suit was made with a thick ass fabric, also he didn't have any padding. That's why ROuth didn't have as much definition showing thru the fabric...
rbfn04 - 10/28/2011, 7:34 PM
Oh, btw, y'all thought I couldn't go on a MoS piece and not complain! HA! LOL
nowtheresaBATman - 10/28/2011, 7:56 PM
@ BaneKill77 & rbfn04 I guess I'll say the same thing in a differant way: Cavill would've looked better than Routh did in Routh's shitty costume. Routh would look like shit in Cavill's costume. Routh is 6'3 , Cavill is 6'1. Big deal. Taller doesn't mean tougher. & as far as acting ability goes there's a reason Cavill's almost been cast as Superman before, & Batman & Bond as well. I've been a fan of Cavill since he was in The Count of Monte Cristo & he's only gotten better since. Routh? while I like his impersonation of Chris Reeves in Superman never Returned I've never cared for his acting ability it's stale. Why anybody would prefer Routh over Cavill is beyond me.
rbfn04 - 10/28/2011, 8:14 PM
@nowtheresaBATman I'm not even defending Routh, just stating the obvious. Cavills muscle wouldn't show though Routh's suit either.

And when I say padded, again, I don't mean they added size (tho they did ad triceps and thigh muscles) but to make the muscle and veins show through the fabric.

Cavill in Routh's suit and without padding wouldn't look as ripped as he does in the lighter fabric of MOS's suit with some padding under it...
RyanLantern77 - 10/28/2011, 8:26 PM
Gorgeous
nowtheresaBATman - 10/28/2011, 9:25 PM
@TheGODDAMNSUPERGUY Yeah I get it. That's the only thing I liked about that B.rian S.inger soap opera.

@rbfn04 The suit controversy is beyond my ken.
thegreek - 10/28/2011, 10:21 PM
I won't say i didn't like Routh as Superman I did ... Shit i even liked the movie ... I viewed it as a stepping point for the next one to be action packed but what ever about that ...

I will also say i was keen on Cavil playing the part but i can def see this guy is jacked ... And the suit is padded sadly..

But Routh was still bigger... They just hid it
thegreek - 10/28/2011, 10:22 PM
I am still looking forward to finally seeing Superman really fight for once... Movie will be epic... :)
rbfn04 - 10/29/2011, 7:27 AM
Compare a dude wearing a wetsuit and the same dude wearing one of those modern Under Armor gears. That's kinda de difference between Routh's suit and Cavill's (a bit exagerated, of course, but still)

Facade - 10/29/2011, 8:12 AM
I have a feeling MOS will have a few cool moments that will manage to convince a hoard of Cavill followers that this is the best Superman ever, much the way the air plain abd bullet to the eye convinced so many others that Routh was awesome as Superman.

I think the padded, scuba suit looks dumb and I'll put money on it that there will be too much (bearded) Clark instead of [frick]ing Superman for a Superman film!
KNIGHT3000 - 11/7/2011, 8:18 AM
nowtheresaBATman

I don't know man, Routh's suit was described as a tight rubber-band, where as if he stretched his arms out, he would feel it in his toes, for example. Thats pretty tight. Routh was way bigger than Cavill in RETURNS, doesn't make it a better movie nor does it make him a better Superman. But I'm not going to pretend he wasn't big enough just cause the movie wasn't perfect. Routh actually is Superman's height, which is 3 inches taller than Cavill, and was buff as hell. Routh is actually still buff today since he was Superman, and is STILL bigger than Cavill is, right now.

Don't get me wrong, Cavill looks very impressive, and he is the biggest he has ever been, including how he looks in IMMORTALS. But favoritism never changes facts. If they both stood together right now, you would be surprized. Its kinda like comparing Brad Pitt to Eric Bana, Sure in TROY Brad seems massive, and more bulky, but on the red carpet Bana towered over him.
KNIGHT3000 - 11/7/2011, 8:48 AM
Just to be clear, I am not saying I like Routh more or less than Cavill. I am saying that Routh is bigger right now, but also in SUPERMAN RETURNS Routh was not only taller, but bigger in size. Routh was even bigger than Hemsworth in THOR. Just talking about muscle mass guys, not who is the best Kal El.

Just cause RETURNS sucked, doesn't make Brandon Routh a twig. I wish we could get a picture of Brandon and Henry standing together, or shaking hands or something. The size difference is so obvious.
