Gambit, the Cajun Theif

Real Name: Remy LeBleau
Powers: Has the mutant ability to harness and manipulate kinetic energy into a destructive force. He is also a master theif.
Weapons: His two signature weapons are his seemingly never ending supply of playing cards as well as a bow staff, both of which he will use along with his mutant power to deadly effect.. Essentially he can use any object as an explosive weapon by embuing the item with kinetic energy. He is an excellent marksman and hand to hand combatant.

Who shall battle the ladies man of the Uncanny X-men in

lol Gambit would beat the pants off any of these guys, come up with some better competition. I could write 3 pages based on comic book reference about Gambit and the extent of his powers as well as why he would obliterate any of the named characters or all of them at once. Daredevil is the only person on that list that could event propose a momentary threat. And in Gambit's first original series, issue #11, he defeated Daredevil without even using his mutant powers. Now you make it a life or death match, then the comic-verse is gonna be short a few characters soon. I honestly try to avoid discussion involving Gambit fighting someone else, because if you know enough about the X-Men and Gambit's origin's, then you know he is an Omega class mutant. The entire reason he is endebted to Sinister is because at one point his powers were getting to powerful for him to even control. So he had Sinister dampen his power so that he wasn't a danger to everything around him. Even still, his powers sometimes flare up and he is encompassed in an aura of Kinteic energy just radiating off him. Because of his ability to manipulate and store kinetic energy, his powers are far more than simply turning inanimate objects into bombs. Like many mutants, his body is evolved to handle and work in congress with his powers. Like how Cyclops spine and neck are inherently reinforced to withstand the force of the blasts he projects, or how Angels bones are hollow and his eyes have protective membranes to withstand highspeed flight. He has healed from being stabbed through the chest by Wolverine on more than one occasion by manipulating the kinetic energy in his own body. Also, he body is built and suited for constant motion, making him at the pinnacle of human ability and in some cases superhumanly strong, agile, dextrous, endurance, reflex/reaction time, speed, durability. His ability to charge objects isn't limited to inorganic objects. It's his good-guy ideals that keep him from using a puppy as a projectile bomb, or him putting his hand on your face and exploding your head. I can keep going, but if thats necessary I'd rather make an article. If you don't believe me, read all your back issues, or ask others who know enough about him, or look it up. However you gotta do it.

interesting read
if you would like to suggest alternate challengers then please by all means
however, all of that indepth knowledge is not really required for something as simple as this
it is a very breif overview of a character and a list of opponents.
I did have trouble coming up with opponents for Gambit to face. Most of the ones I came up with were flyers which I did not think would be a fair match
but i must say, your love of Gambit is very clear good sir

lol you have no idea avenger... I have been considering starting a series of articles that would physically explain the full extent of the powers of many of our favorite supers, but my first attempt was like 3 pages long, and I knew noone was gonna read 3 pages about Gambit's power's and their applications. lol I am a comic book nerd.

i would say batman, but batman always cheats... Cap Am. maybe... or maybe human torch, i would imagine explosions wouldn't be very useful against him.
