This movie will shock everyone by its greatness.
Anton - 3/3/2013, 9:22 AM
Also, yeah, the list of movies is great (never saw a couple of them, definitely will watch soon), you can say that Mangold chose a very dark direction for this story.
TheSuperguy - 3/3/2013, 9:23 AM
He was also inspired by films that never had trailers...
poop23 - 3/3/2013, 9:27 AM

jimoakley666 - 3/3/2013, 9:29 AM

Looks like Wolverine will be a modern day Ronin just the way he was always supposed to be.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 3/3/2013, 9:35 AM

hayyam - 3/3/2013, 9:36 AM

FOOM - 3/3/2013, 9:38 AM
Hope this is great. We've endured too many years of CBM Wolverine mediocrity to be let down again.
MisterNiceGuy - 3/3/2013, 9:39 AM
How anybody still has faith in these movies is beyond me..
RorMachine - 3/3/2013, 9:40 AM
I've seen 5 of em, but only actually guessed 4 on Twitter! Didn't cop that final one was from Shane.
FilmDork1221 - 3/3/2013, 9:40 AM
When is the trailer arriving?? I think it's the end of March but I might be wrong, beginning of April??
AsianVersionOfET - 3/3/2013, 9:43 AM
Chinatown? Holy [frick]! Sweeeeet!
HellsHammer - 3/3/2013, 9:44 AM
Best be good
ManOfKrypton - 3/3/2013, 9:44 AM
These are some great films to draw inspiration from... I'm starting to have high hopes for this.
WEJAlen20 - 3/3/2013, 9:45 AM
All great films I used to watch with my Dad
skidz - 3/3/2013, 9:46 AM
'Shane' and 'The Outlaw Jose Wales' make sense. 'The French Connection' and 'Chinatown' are a little surprising (I haven't seen either of them, much to my chagrin). The others ring of authenticity in terms of the movies' environmental tone.
BrotherStarkofMABMindz - 3/3/2013, 9:50 AM
Checked them all out on IMDb, rated pretty well
InfiniteMonkey - 3/3/2013, 9:52 AM
From the list, it looks to be good but, yeah, that's all "looks."
I'll wait till the reviews are in, wait a tick-I'll wait till the numbers are in.
Reviews don't mean shit anymore.
IIIAdamantiumIII - 3/3/2013, 9:52 AM
skidz chinatown and the french connection are awesome films
DrDoom - 3/3/2013, 9:53 AM
Wow, he really needs to use films he's been 'influenced' by to try and sell his movie?

This is going to be a disaster.
Godzillafart - 3/3/2013, 10:04 AM
@AcidicHeart: Thank you for the dumbest comment I've read in days.
AsianVersionOfET - 3/3/2013, 10:09 AM
@AcidicHeart, every director draws inspiration from at least one thing. No movie is COMPLETELY original. And I wouldn't say he's trying to sell his movie by saying what he was inspired by, I think he's just saying that so we can get an idea of what it'll be like in our heads. Just my opinion.
MrMartinMarvel - 3/3/2013, 10:11 AM
It's probably going to be a blatant ripoff of all these films.
jerryblake - 3/3/2013, 10:14 AM
my ignorance is starting to terrifying me ...
didn't saw any of these movies.

and the last foreign movie I saw was Chaser and I Saw The Devil.
And Hwanghae.

Love Memories of Murder. Best of all.
Anton - 3/3/2013, 10:14 AM
@AcidicHeart
Your comment is one of the most stupid things I've ever read on CBM.
Horsemanofwar - 3/3/2013, 10:16 AM
@Happy11 - So does everyone I think.:)
Grievo - 3/3/2013, 10:18 AM
Yeah, I remember being really stoked for the last Wolverine film, which also listed "Josey Wales" as its top influence. I have no faith in this. My ultimate hope is that this movie sucks so hard that Fox finally realizes Jackman is a crap Wolverine. Yes, I understand he played an excellent, effeminate, loving daddy figure, jazz hands Hugh Jackman in 4 other X films, but he's never played Wolverine. And btw, the fact that they haven't yet released a trailer means the studio knows this movie sucks.
HavocPrime - 3/3/2013, 10:19 AM
@AcidicHeart

Quite a few directors come out and say what has influenced them, Nolen has done so for his Batman flicks so it doesn't mean the film will be bad.
Murr3n - 3/3/2013, 10:27 AM
I would love to see Old Man Logan with Jack Nicholson!
AlSimmons - 3/3/2013, 10:33 AM
"Shaaayyy-yaaannnnnnneee! Come back Shaaaane!"
Sephiroth - 3/3/2013, 10:33 AM
My most anticipated CBM of the year...can't wait! I really have high hopes for this film (If this movie sucks I will NEVER trust a Fox CBM again).
jerryblake - 3/3/2013, 10:35 AM
@Murr3n

Old Man Logan with Eastwood
jerryblake - 3/3/2013, 10:36 AM
or Harvey Keitel
TonyChu - 3/3/2013, 10:36 AM
I just want a [frick]ing teaser trailer.
jerryblake - 3/3/2013, 10:49 AM
@teabag

this guy is on steroids
Valandil - 3/3/2013, 11:02 AM
