The Legend of Korra has been wowing fans since it's debut in 2012 and now the much awaited third season entitled "Book Three: Change" has been given the release date of Friday 27th June. The premier will see the first two episodes aired back-to-back and will be followed by a special presentation of episode 3.

It will play from 7pm (EST) and after the premiere the show will continue from July 11th. The series will run for thirteen episodes.

The first three episodes were 'accidentally' released online with a spanish dub so, if you haven't seen them, here's the trailer to whet your appetite.

Watch Avatar: The Last Airbender first. It really is one of the most amazing shows you will ever see, especially for cartoons. The Legend of Korra just continues the awesomeness. You're missing out on both (if you haven't seen the first series)!!!!!

I personally think it falls really short on a few crucial notes (teen lust and selfishness, a very stupid main character, half the episodes per season for half the development). Avatar The Last Airbender is superior in almost every single way, and has some fun tie-in comics to wrap up lingering questions set between the timegap of the two shows.

If not Aang and watch only for the visuals, thankfully there's also more Boomy this next season. Korras a terrible Avatar but she does kick ass. Hopefully she can keep her feelings in her pants this time around.

I get what you're saying and I do think the original series is better but I don't think it was perfect either...there was a lot of filler episodes that didn't advance the plot. Sure they allowed character development but that is where the series differ. Korra is more focused on tight storytelling although it does find room to develop characters too.

As for the teen lust it can be annoying but it's hard to side-step it when your main characters are all teens. Korra is stupid though, like really stupid sometimes.

Still, it's probably the best animated show on at the moment and I do look forward to it

I won't defend Book 2 but the first one is a good sucessor to the Last Airbender. I have to disagree Doopie. Avatar The Last Airbender has tons of filler episodes but all of them are great. Book 2 barely had any good episodes in my opinion even if all of them mattered to the story. Book 1 handled the romantic aspect much better. It still wasn't perfect but it was enough. The trailer for Book 3 looks much better than the one for Book 2 so I'm not very worried about the third book. It looks like they're going to lift back the quality. Maybe this season will be even better than book 1. Also I wonder what the chick with eye tatoo is about. Is she related to combustion man? Maybe they're both part of a cult.

They did do well with their filler no doubt. One example I can think of that wasn't that great was where the gang have to get across a gorge with a bunch of people who hate each other...it's not an awful episode but I found it entirely predictable. Still we can agree it was a great show.

I do think Book 1 was better than Book 2 also but like you said this trailer makes 'Changes' look incredible.

The eye on the forehead definitely made me think of combustion man but the thing i found most interesting is that Bumi seems to be airbending? around the 0:37 mark
