The 'X-Men: First Class' official Facebook page has set up a program called 'X-Perts' where fans get to submit their own questions they want answered and this time fans were asked to submit their questions to Caleb Landry Jones who plays Banshee in the upcoming movie.

In the movie, will you wear the yellow-and-green uniform from the comics?

Yellow, blue and black.

What is your relationship with Moira in the film?

Strictly platonic.

In the comics Banshee is roughly the same age as Professor X - because there isn't much reference to a younger Banshee in the comics did you have more freedom to portray the character?

Not really. Only his motives should be less developed. Not yet the man he is to become.

What was the coolest part of your role in the film?

The character's appetite for a good party.

I was wondering if Banshee's powers will be limited to just the sonic scream, or will he be flying as well in this movie?

He learns to use most of his powers. This entails flight.

Will we see a connection between Banshee and Siryn, who appeared in the trilogy, in this film?

Not in the script but then again I haven't seen the completed film yet.

How did your audition for this role go?

I felt it went absolutely terrible.

Did you do your own stunts?

Most of them.

While filming or reading the script for Banshee did you ever feel a sort of connection with your own life or feelings?

Only that he has trouble fitting in.

What do you think makes Banshee such a cool character?

His naively destructive personality sprinkled with wit.

Is it just me or did his responses seem rather short and rushed, he certainly didn't feel like elaborating much.

could he give less interesting answers?
write33 - 4/6/2011, 9:07 AM
he was answering at gun point and had less than 5 minutes to finish? eesh, that 'X-Perts' thing is better as an idea than a reality, apparently.

@N... I pictured your comment on thor's face in your avatar.. much like the recent movie posters lol
TurdFergunson - 4/6/2011, 9:25 AM
whats up with the 3 names? i mean i know most peeps have 3 names but i never see anyone requesting to be called by all 3 names. seems like a douche move to me to 3 names.

"How did your audition for this role go?"
"I felt it went absolutely terrible."

That worked in his favor for sure, Fox loves terrible acting.
Hawksblueyes - 4/6/2011, 9:52 AM
I like they way this dude answers questions. Most actors will wrap three paragraphs around a five word answer. This dude doesn't waste time or energy, he gets to the point. I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't appreciate a person not wasting five minutes of your life by elaborating on "Yellow, blue and black."
CorndogBurglar - 4/6/2011, 10:00 AM
"Will we see a connection between Banshee and Siryn, who appeared in the trilogy, in this film?"

what a stupid question. Siryn was a little girl in X2, this movie takes place in the 60's...do the math.
selinakyle - 4/6/2011, 10:00 AM
lmaoo i love this guy. What do y'all want? Some sensationalized response? "oh it was such a chaotic experience coupled with the dichotomy of blah blah blah".

@hawksblueyes
Thats true get to the point but he doesnt souond excitred about the character. Sean Cassidy has alot of story, with Syrin, Black Tom and Cassidy Keep. He doesnt sound like he knows the character. I would've liked to hear more from him.
comicb00kguy - 4/6/2011, 10:06 AM
Hawks is right. It's nice to find a guy who will directly answer questions rather than give these usual bullshit actor answers that ramble on and don't actually answer the question.

I also honestly can like a guy who will answer a question about his audition by saying he thought it went terrible. Shows a little humility.
McGribble - 4/6/2011, 10:33 AM
I am really curious as to how he will speak. I have never heard this actor talk so I want to know if we will hear the Irish accent. I will be disappointed if he talks like billy down the street.
Dimitri - 4/6/2011, 11:34 AM
I think that he was pretty good in this interview... its not usual for an actor to be clear and feet on earth not in the sky!

lol

Perhaps he will the best one int this movie...
TheGoshdarnRobin - 4/6/2011, 11:37 AM
So Banshee possibly not being Irish affects the story how?
CherryBomb - 4/6/2011, 11:52 AM
Yay, sooo excited (:
fullmetal - 4/6/2011, 12:11 PM
these question f ucking suck!!! who interviewed this ass a 10 year old? one question asked "Will we see a connection between Banshee and Siryn, who appeared in the trilogy, in this film? " SIRYN WAS IN THE ORIGINAL TRILOGY?! see this is why these movies f ucking suck man...Siryn was probably some random f ucking mutant in the background for one second and that is suppose to constitute as an "appearance." just like psylocke and emma...i don;t care what you say that was not psylocke in x3 and that was not emma on wolverine...this is poor story telling at its finest
TayDee - 4/6/2011, 12:18 PM
edi cathegi had a way better interview
the7percentsolution - 4/6/2011, 12:40 PM
Uh, fullmetal.. clearly you haven't seen X2 in a while. You know, the part when the girl uses a *sonic scream* as Stryker's soldiers are in the mansion? ;P
Watcher - 4/6/2011, 12:48 PM
@ THESPIDERMAN96: Banshee is supposed to be Irish, amigo. FYI
fullmetal - 4/6/2011, 12:59 PM
uh...the7percentsolution...how are people suppose to know what character that is when she only appeared briefly? we as an audience are suppose to know who that is?! what a joke. that person was nobody! an unexplored character and these people want us to know who that was and correlate that to banshee? f ucking pathetic...POOR STORY TELLING!!! "oh you know that guy that farted in the back ground of die hard 3? that's john mclaines brother!! didn't you know?!" pathetic!
the7percentsolution - 4/6/2011, 1:10 PM
Dude it's called a cameo, stop whining, lol. And besides, she wasn't just in the background, she basically sounded the alarm for the entire mansion. Her sonic scream was the indicator of who she was, just like the cameo of Kitty Pryde in the first X-Men movie was simply of her going through a wall, or Colossus' brief appearance in 2. They can't possibly get all the mutants to have major roles in every movie, so we get little nods of acknowledgement. Calm down, lol.
golden123 - 4/6/2011, 1:14 PM
I liked how he answered the questions. Short, sweet, and to the point. Very few actors do that.
MovieTheaterLad - 4/6/2011, 1:29 PM
He learns to use most of his powers. This entails flight.

I love how he says "this entails flight". What a smarty-pants!

ThreeBigTacos - 4/6/2011, 2:06 PM
fullmetal: Breathe, just breathe everything will be ok.
HeadlessJensen - 4/6/2011, 2:30 PM
Not much of a talker is he? Not the best interview, could've been better.
seoexpert97 - 4/6/2011, 8:12 PM
Excellent article of Jones, I know a few people who prefer freelance blogging to more traditional freelance writing jobs. It’s nice to hear one feedback and tips from someone who’s doing it. Follow me by rent to own , rent to own homes links.
Jolt17 - 4/7/2011, 12:57 AM
He's that RON guy from Harry Potter right?

Lol jk...but he really looks like him!

Oh, and a very less entertaining interview!

He looks funny in the trailers...but he's so silent in interviews lol?
Namor - 4/9/2011, 4:18 PM
omg.. U people are funny.. He answered the questions.. Do they have to be 10sentences of jibberish, or is it ok, to answer the questions, quickly and efficently?
