Director Kevin Tancharoen gave us this picture via his Twitter earlier today which gives us a fairly decent look at Scorpion's costume in the upcoming WB produced web-series.

Written by Kevin Tancharoen , Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing, “Mortal Kombat: Legacy” is an anthology of nine live action shorts, and brings to life the motivation behind each character’s participation in the Mortal Kombat tournament. Each episode will provide never-before-revealed insights into characters featured in the upcoming videogame as well as the game’s universe.




'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' Premieres April 12th.

@Mrsinister ... the studio didn't take over. It merely financed the project, because they saw the reaction it got. Go to Machinima.com to see the newest trailer/mini-promo for the series. It looks just as good as, if not better than, Rebirth.

INTERESTING FACTS:
-the mask is actually a mempo from the samurai yoroi.

-the rope on the back of the (anime style <.<) kunai helps it fly straight--refer to 'chosun ninja'...heheh.

ps. if you don't get the 'Chosun Ninja' joke, don't worry about it. :) Physics.

When I saw the trailer about a year ago my initial thought was "lame."
When I saw the Jax Kano fight scene my initial thought was "shitty chorography."
And my initial thought on seeing this Scorpion costume is "was it made with fabric from the crafts center at Wal-Mart"

I'm really trying to see why everyone is getting hyped about this project. But everything I've seen looks like it came from a B movie in 1987. I take that back worse than a B movie from 1987.
I know they don’t have much of a budget but come on, the things you can help, like the fight sequence should at least be half ass decent.
