At this year's San Diego Comic-Con fans were heavily warned to not reveal any of the footage shown or there would be harsh consequences; However now after a recent showing of a clip from the 50th Anniversary Special of British sci-fi drama Doctor Who at the Edinburgh TV Festival, a fan has leaked online a low-resolution screengrab of main actors (left-to-right) Matt Smith (Eleventh Doctor), David Tennant (Tenth Doctor) and John Hurt’s new Doctor seen all together for the first time.
Past actors Billie Piper (companion Rose Tyler) and Jemma Redgrave (UNIT'S Kate Stewart) will also feature in the anniversary special, as well as new Who additions John Hurt and Joanna Page (rumoured to be playing Queen Elizabeth I).
The special will also feature the return of popular villains the Daleks and classic enemies the Zygons.
Doctor Who will return with the 50th Anniversary Special on November 23rd, filmed in 3D, directed by Nick Hurran ('Asylum of the Daleks', 'The Girl Who Waited'), written by showrunner Steven Moffat, and it is rumoured the special will be 60-90 minutes long and will get a limited worldwide cinema release.
