Has anyone her considered that the scene at the end of the Avengers trailer (Iron Man, seemingly battle touched and slightly f-d up, flying out of the river) is part of the post-credits sequence where he goes underwater to check out where the seemingly Atlantean attack came from only to find some dude with wings on his feet? Tony is anything, but parnoid. Enter info. Next up, Iron Man 3. Comments?
DuzzeeLookLyka - 10/28/2011, 9:10 AM
Sorry, buddies...I meant 'parAnoid.' But he IS that....or as Woody Allen would say "One man's 'paranoid' is another's perception." What say you. fanboy/girls??

DC's 52 is a well played stunt. I'm Marvel from BIRTH, but I can't hate the 52. It's the shot of adrenaline to the heart DC needed to get it's collective ducks in a row, and more importantly, to bring these young'uns back to the hand-held-page again. I read the 'Death of Peter Parker' storyline, and I was touched, but nothing beyond that. It was a stunt, nothing more. I understand Marvel is the NEXT, moviewise, but comicwise, all these 'events' are ass. 'Civil War' was dope because it had long and well-thought out issues about character foundations and a 'what would Cap do?' aspect to it. Unfortunately, you can't do that with everyone...SLOW YER ROLL, MARVEL...yer success is a LONG time comin, but don't BLOW it by gettin NUTS with the fans. I could go on. Would anyone feelin this like to continue?....
DuzzeeLookLyka - 10/28/2011, 9:38 AM
@Nomis That would f'n be LEGENDARY and f'n awesome!!! Yer F'n NUTS, but THATS the collective mindthink we need...the END of the Avengers is the beginning...Make AVENGERS the PULP FICTION of 'superhero' movies...also considering Sam Jax is the BIG BALLER now... It's HIS world...us fans are just livin in it...nice post, bruh.

I didn't know the "MARVEL" name was so 'powerful' when it's seen now.
I think I'll slap a Marvel bumper sticker on my pants crotch.
Mechagino - 10/28/2011, 11:05 AM
I love it how people say infinite crisis was a reboot when only some history got change here and there.

The NEW reboot for the most part is a COMPLETE reboot and that's what makes it different from anything else people say is a reboot with the exception of Crisis on infinite earths.
jaycr - 10/28/2011, 11:06 AM
Marvel Studios still needs to make an excelent movie. Their movies are just plain entertainment, but they are easily forgettable. Avengers is going to sell well, people will go and like brainless consumers buy the tickets, the t-shirt, the comics... but at the end of the day, will that movie teach anything besides pretty people in colorful costumes, explosions and really become part of my life, or it will just become 2012 big marketing gimmick.

The Dark Knight worked on my fears and the way I understand justice in this f**** up world. Same with Watchmen. Xmen First Class talked about identity and gave us a glimpse of how corrupted our leaders are. What will Avengers bring to the table as a movie not as a commercial for Marvel products.
Mechagino - 10/28/2011, 11:07 AM
I'm telling ya Marvel is going to try and copy this one way or another. Maybe not a complete reboot but one of their titles will get it.
Mechagino - 10/28/2011, 11:10 AM
And I find it funny how Joe is trying to say "Oh, we don't try to copy it or emulate it" while talking yet Marvel Season one and Fear Itself... yeah.
headlopper - 10/28/2011, 11:12 AM
@jaycr- Insightful point.
Your point is they need more heart, more social commentary, yes?
Shaman - 10/28/2011, 11:29 AM
jaycr- Avengers will teach us all kinds of cool shit about aliens, technology, split personalities, cultural immersion and even mythology, all in one. And shit will be blown up for good measure too.
headlopper - 10/28/2011, 11:37 AM
@- Intruder(last comment) HaHaHaHaHA!
You sarcastic SOB!(:
Shaman - 10/28/2011, 12:05 PM
Trudy- I really hope it isn't because... god! That would be a really lame life to live.
spiderneil - 10/28/2011, 12:37 PM
I'm a marvel guy but joe Q's claim that marvel doesn't react to anything DC does is a shame faced LIE.
Coldblood6 - 10/28/2011, 12:38 PM
@ jaycr

Wow! You are laughably pathetic.

tdk worked on your fears??? What the hell does that mean? You had fears that an actor named Heath Ledger would play a psycho clown and then die? Or was it fears that Katie Holmes would be replaced by an unattractive actress? Or was it fears that Batman would never speak in a normal voice that doesn't evoke laughter?

You seriously believe tdk teaches something about justice in the real world??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
