I voted 'Unsure' because it really depends. I think Bale is mean but I still watch his movies because he makes good movies. I love Morgan Freeman and watch Morgan Freeman movies for his performances. I went a long time with out watching a Tom Cruise movie and Mel Gibson movie - but their movies are really hit and miss with me anyway...

In general, actors/celebrities are morons. They get where they are on looks and "screen" talent. Anyone who backs or avoids movies on the background of an actor/celebrity is just as big a moron as they themselves. We don't go to movies to fuel our political beliefs. We go there to escape reality. Michael Jackson's "atrocities" did not stop anyone from purchasing his music, no one stopped watching Christian Bale movies when he acted like an ass on set, Mel Gibson is still directing when he is obviously insane, Tom Cruise is still acting while he is waiting for his spaceship to pick him up... If you are looking for political views, smart people normally don't go to film featuretes/interviews for political info, we go there to find out about the film.

Agree with Tomontherun99.
It is the same way in sports. IMO, Ray Lewis got away with murder, but I still admire him as a football player.

4th'd. I so wish people wouldn't equate enjoying someone's work/ability/talent as agreeing with whatever their outlook on life is.

An employer has the right to limit what an employee does as part of the empolyee's work duties. This includes political statements and participation DURING WORK TIME. If part of an actor's job is promoting the film (and promotion is usually built into the contract), then the film producers have the right to limit the actor's political comments WHILE HE OR SHE IS PROMOTING THE FILM. What the actor does on his or her own time is his or her business.
Of course, a studio may take that actor's political belief's into account when choosing whether to cast an actor because it is part of the public perception of that actor.
I generally will not go see movies that star actors that I actively dislike. In some cases, that active dislike may be based upon said actor's political beliefs. However, if the actor has a supporting or minor role, then my feelings about that actor will have less of an effect.

And by the way, Mel Gibson's antics have severely cost him (and deservedly so). Nobody will cast him in a movie any time soon. Nobody will hire him as a director. The only movies he is doing now-a-days are ones that he produces (and pays for).
Supposedly, Gibson is a really great guy . . . except when he gets on one of these alcohol-induced rants when he becomes a complete a-hole.

I feel sorry for Mel Gibson alcoholism is a disease and he has been betrayed by confidants and I bet there are a lot of actors of have said/did reprehensible things but there aren't recordings of them and even if there where as long as the person is a liberal they get a pass to say/do the most vile things and still find work.

I would like to make a general request: Could Comicbookmovie.com please start pushing "Snow White and the Huntsman" a little more. There was a millisecond that they didn't have 12 trailers for it going simultaneously and I've forgotten the movie exists.

I usually don't care what political/religious beliefs an actor/actress has, for that is not why I watch them. I watch an actor/actress for the only reason anyone should, talent

I don't give a sh*t about his political beliefs, I'll go watch TDKR not only because of Batman but because Morgan Freeman is in the movie.

Can you remember the time when every page you opened had the "You were bitten by the beast...!" or so from the del Toro werewolf movie remake?
