Almost four years have passed since William Katt (TV's Greatest American Hero) launched Catastrophic Comics and released it's first title SPARKS, which he co-created with writer/director Christopher Folino. The the critically acclaimed title has since been made into a motion comic.

In the event you're not familiar with the title, below is a brief synopsis courtesy of CBR...

Set in 1948, this super-noir thriller follows Ian Sparks, a masked vigilante who discovers the price to pay to become a hero is too high, finding himself in a dark, relentless story about self discovery, heroism, failed lives and redemption.

Now, NEWSaRAMA reports that filming has wrapped on the self financed big screen adaptation. Co-directed by Folino and Todd Burrowsith, with stars such as Clancey Brown, Ashley Bell, Clint Howard, Jake Busey, William Katt and relative newcomer Chase Williamson in the title role, I must say it's got my attention. Though it was only a two week shoot for the adaptation, hopes remain high for a theatrical release.

Ashley Bell offered the following on the film and her character Lady Heavenly..."In the Sparks world, there are superheroes who have powers and superheroes that don't, and villains and thugs that exist within the world. My character is a crimefighter, and she has no powers, but she's a straight-up fighter. She's been a crusader in this city, maintaining control, until she meets her match with Sparks. And they team up."

Hawksblueyes: As I said earlier, with the actors involved in this, I'm really interested in seeing how this turns out.

At first, I thought it said Katt Williams. Then I realized that he's too overrated to have anything critically acclaimed.

Oh, and the guy in the last pic reminded me of Cobra Commander. But I actually like this look.
