*Sees TMNT on the list and Nightcrawler in the last spot*

Go [frick] yourself Hulksta.

Gusto, this is a true honor. I think next week you'll have to provide me with the Woodleygate Award for True Genius.

LionHearted95 the movie is great, in a lot of ways it's more of a commentary on comic book movies and the business behind them but since this site reports on all that it's kind of genius.

Good list. No Apes?

I have yet to see Birdman, but I get the feel it will be a gem like Defendor.

I cannot wait for the GotG blu-ray, on my birthday, great birthday gift!

Apes: OK movie but didn't really move the story really forward. I mean at the beginning of DOTPOTA (lol) they are almost at war and at the end they are readying to go to war. I mean some of the stuff with Koba was ok but honestly as an Apes fan it really didn't do much for me.

Gone Girl: I had similar problems with Gone Girl. By the end of the film the mystery is solved but Ben has to live with knowing how [frick]ed yo his wife is. I mean as a fan of Finchwr I thought it was ok but not his best and not overly enjoyable or even risky.

The Raid was a really good film. My only problem was that for all the great action scenes the story sort of felt above-par but not anything brilliant or spectacular

Beautiful, I wholeheartedly agree with your #1...also, just watched the documentary Jodorowsky’s Dune, holy crap, that dude is cracked, but an amazing doc, really wished his version was made, but the ends shows his legacy is still alive!

I haven't seen Jodorowsky's Dune yet...but I really would love to see a knockout film adaption of Dune, as unlikely as that is anytime soon. I did enjoy the Sci-Fi miniseries, more than the Lynch film anyway.

But my favorite film of the year, so far, is Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

Interesting list.

GOTG is my number 1 movie of the year too.

I would have had Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on my list. Those two movies were amazing.

Can't decide on a list, but Interstellar and Edge of Tomorrow are way up the top.

My list is similar but replace GOTG and TMNT with Interstellar and Gone Girl.

Did no one see EDGE OF TOMORROW?

That film was brilliant. Top 3 this year for me.
