Loved this series. I grew up watching this, and to me there's been no better animated series since. Young Justice is great, and Ultimate Avengers is pretty good too. But nothing beats this imo

greatest animated series bar none.. i mean the level of maturity and complexity in these stories.. the animation style, the color palette, the noir style, the voice acting, the adaptation of comic storylines, the new storylines, from humor to drama to darkness.. all awesome.. my favorite adaptation of batman mythos across all media..

Great job. That's I can say. I haven't seen this series in a while. Just finished Superman: TAS and noticed how close Man of Steel was with that series. Going to start Batman TAS soon then the rest of the other series! Can't wait to rewatch JLU!

One of the best series ever.

One of all time fave Batman moments is in a scene from the Justice League where Batman knows the secret identities of the league.

lanternstorm
lanternstorm - 10/30/2013, 5:07 AM
The Grey Ghost should be listed on here... I mean come on, bringing in Adam West for his first-post Batman performance as someone other than Batman. Then you have Joker's Christmas which is an all time classic. But there's also the classic episode which introduced Robin to the series was, i forgot the name of it but it was a Scarecrow episode where he infects Dick Grayson with the fear toxin.

My favorite has to be Perchance to Dream with Over The Edge and Heart Of Ice coming in at a close 2nd and 3rd. That episode just shows you how different Bruce's life would have been with one man's decision. It shows you just how tortured Batman's soul is. I also love how the city still needed a Batman and it wasn't him. And at the end how he it shows how much he just could not live without the Batman persona and that that is his true identity. Who am I kidding? Every episode is my favorite... except some of the new animated series episodes they did in the late 90's such as the ones with Livewire, Roxy Rockette, Jason Blood, oh and don't even get me started on the episode "Critters" and Farmer Brown MY GOD man those were terrible!!

With B:TAS, I've found that it's easier to list the few shitty episodes (like "I've Got Batman in My Basement") than it is to list a few favorites.

I do think that "I Am The Night" might be my all-time fav, though. Great story, and superb animation.

The best animated series of all time. This is why the people who wrote these episodes should be writing the movies.
