With The Flash being the next likely choice for Warner Brothers to develop in to a comic book movie I wanted to get the users of CBM's view on just who you guys/girls think the Scarlet Speedster should go up against.

A couple of week ago Jeff Robinov commented that Warner Brothers has a "solid script" for DC comic's The Flash. With Flash being the closest and most likely candidate to get the feature film treatment next the only natural next question is who will he go up against? General consensus has usually been that The Flash has some pretty lame villains, but there are also some pretty interesting ones as well. The range from being as awesome as Professor Zoom all the way to being as lame as The Trickster. I want your opinion CBM, who should The Scarlet Speedster go up against in his feature film debut?

I think the Flash should go up against a large number of the Rogues, like Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, and Abra Kadabra. I don't think it should only include one Rogue, since they usually work together to take down the Flash. The second and third movies could have Grodd and Zoom respectively, since they're better standalone villains.

I made a fancast,[HERE], which states that the first villains in this movie should just be the Rogues in a form of a crime group put together by Abra Kadabra.

So I have to say Abra Kadabra be the main villain, than there will be some reasonable explanation as to why the Rogues are even in the first movie instead of going with a step by step explanation as to how they each gain their weapons/powers.

Gorilla Grodd has been proven to be possible with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Reverse Flash is a good choice, but not for the first movie. Also, Captain Cold.

Reverse Flash would be the obvious choice, and I imagine the script they have features him, but I think Mirror Master could be made into a sinister motherf**ker so he gets my vote.

I voted trickser. Mostly becuase I remember Mark Hamill playing him in the TV show.

I don't think you could do Reverse Flash in the first film UNLESS there was another villain like Trickster too.

This is why I don't think a flash movie could work. His villains Suck. Gorilla Grodd and Zoom are the only good ones. Maybe Captain Cold but he is just a less cool (no pun intended) version of Mr. Freeze.

Hows this for an idea: why not just come up with an original villain? Remember that fake Flash teaser that "ran before a private screening of 'Watchmen?'" Well, do something along those lines.

They might have to pull an Iron Man 2 and combine 2 villains
+ add a supporting villain, just to make it enough of a threat........
Why Can't Batman & Spiderman share some of their villains? They've got to hog all the good villains for themselves....

Flash does have some real cheesy villains, all of them would be hard to translate to the big screen…but if I had to choose one, I guess I would go with Reverse Flash

"WB" BETTER get the Flash on the big screen.. with a big sized budget too... And Im still going to push for the idea of making his mask with eye lenses just like Marvel did with Dare Devil... This would make Flash look sooo much cooler looking then cut out eyes in the mask...

Reverse Flash may make sense for many comic fans, but for main stream, I think he is one of the more ho-hum and unimaginative ideas. I am a DC fan, but part of my challenge with DC is they like to create the opposite of the hero as a villain with the same powers for a lot of the characters. Green Lantern/Sinestro. Flash/Reverse Flash, Green Arrow/Rainbow Archer, Martian Manhunter/Cay'an or D'Kay D'Razz..even Superman/Bizzaro would fit that mold. I prefer a villain that doesn't mirror the hero. That's just me though.

Sorry, Flash is 2nd tier. I would stay true to the origin of the main character, and costume, but ignore the rogues. Put Flash in the real world, fighting real-world crime.

GO ALL THE WAY FOR THE BIG BUDGET FILM OF THE FASH!!! THE TV SHOW WAS COOL AND LAME AT THE SAME TIME. ONLY THING I LIKE ABOUT THE TV SHOW IN THE 80S WAS HIS COSTUME AND THE WAY HE LEARNED TO USE HIS NEW POWERS. THE REST OF THE STORY LINE SUCKED AND VILLAINS ACTING WAS THE WORST!!!
