New information has been given about Zack Snyder's Superman movie Man Of Steel from a source that is working on film that details some key scenes that will be shot in Illinois soon. Warning: Spoilers!!!

A person that is connected with The Man Of Steel Facebook Fan Page has received some information from a source working on the Warner Brothers production of Man Of Steel. The details cover scenes being shot at a 7-11 as well as at a hospital. There is also a scene involving military personal and a bank that explain the promo shot that was released last week.

Warning Spoilers!!!!!!

A source involved filming, has discussed scenes being shot for Man of Steel. The source, whose name and role is being kept confidential, is involved with how various scenes are technically executed. With this information being revealed, part of the story line comes into clearer focus.

While filming has been going on this week at Sugar Grove and is moving back the Kent Farm and Sandwich, IL at Valley West Community Hospital, preparation is well underway some big action scenes being shot later this month. Valley West Community Hospital already issued an email alert concerning shooting at the hospital, saying windows would be blacked out, but no major explosions would be occurring. Those effects will be added in. The source confirms "that is being worked on tonight. Nothing will be big there because they can't actually blow up the hospital. So they're just going to be using some controlled and smaller pyro's and then digitally altering it to make it look like a big explosion took place."

In Plano, the 7-Eleven set that has been constructed is now being wired with explosives, says the source "wiring of explosives starts [Today] at the 7-Eleven and it will be blown up in shooting". This occurs during scenes to be filmed in Plano when the military arrives in Smallville to take on Zod and Faora with Superman caught in the middle of the fight.

The source goes on to talk about the bank, which locals refer to as the "old bank", which is also being wired. With Warner Bros releasing an official first look photo of Cavill in the new Superman suit last week, many were speculating about the authenticity of the bank vault as the background. "Oh, it's real. The bank is real. It is being wired with explosives, too and will feature a massive military rumble involving Zod and Faora. The direction of that scene will be done from more of a distance because of explosives, just like the 7-Eleven." The use of the bank also coincides with the fight scenes being shot in Plano in a massive military rumble. Does Superman appear... "yes" was the answer from the source. Last week, Richard Healy, the executive director of the Plano Area Chamber of Commerce said "stuff would be blown up" and talked about a huge military scene involving soldiers repelling from a helicopter and shell casings being left on the street. These new story details are directly in line with Healy's statements.

The source continues by talking about a scene in which Superman learns of specific powers. "Superman learns of certain powers that he has where a glass starts shaking and then breaks. Snyder was very specific and provided a lot of detail about how this was to be done. It will all be controlled with pyrotechnics with certain holes drilled at certain depths and multiple blasts to make the total effect."

The source said much secrecy surrounds the story and "we are only told about certain scenes, not all of them at this point." Actors that will be present include: Cavill, Meloni, Shannon and Traue were names revealed.

This source has been 100% reliable in the past and I have no doubt that this information is accurate.

Man Of Steel will be released on June 14, 2013.

Honestly I just can't muster the same excitement for TDKR and MoS with out the build up to a JLA flick. Won't prevent me from enjoying them. Just not as cool as the build up to Avengers even if the films are better from an artistic standpoint.
SHHH - 8/10/2011, 6:18 PM
Supes is Actually Gonna have more than 1 fight scene!!
95 - 8/10/2011, 6:22 PM
Let's see what you can do Snyder!
JULEZ13 - 8/10/2011, 6:24 PM
All this makes sense so far. Looks like the power Superman will discover is his heat vision. I find it interesting that Snyder will still have Superman learning new abilities even after he has already become Superman.

I'm surprised Zod will only be accompanied by Faora since it looks like Jax-Ur (or whatever that big guy's name is) won't be in this film.

These spoilers and shots are getting me a lot more excited than TDKR is!!

2013 Can't come any faster!!
WellDrawn - 8/10/2011, 6:26 PM
So what's with Superman's lack of eyebrows in that pic?
...... It's a little Super Saiyan 3 without the hair.....
TheLight - 8/10/2011, 6:36 PM
The part about "certain powers" has got me curious. I wonder what Snyder is planning on. Will it be a epic gift or profound sadness at its best?

Action - 8/10/2011, 7:33 PM
This movie will be awesome-sauce!!! Snyder will resurrect the superman film franchise just like Christopher Nolan did for Batman.
dahamma - 8/10/2011, 7:41 PM
We finally get s SUPERMAN rather than SUPERBOY we been gettin all these yrs....im lookin at you Routh And Wellington
TheBurnSays - 8/10/2011, 7:43 PM
I still think the vault is fake and the photo is a great setup for public release. Those "spoilers" are probably INSPIRED by the photo. If I'm wrong...good for us!
mastarockafella - 8/10/2011, 7:47 PM
Could be heat vision melting down the glass.

Vital - 8/10/2011, 7:59 PM
Fight scenes already? I guess they are filming the movie's fight scenes first to get them out of the way eh?
LP4 - 8/10/2011, 8:19 PM
At long last, SUPERMAN WILL BE A MAN OF ACTION!!!!

No more boring love story drama crap.

In the comics Superman knows Kryptonian martial arts. I hope Snyder will explore that. Awesome, the first ever Superman film where Superman actually fights and it only took WB 30 years to accomplish that. psh idiotic studio.
LP4 - 8/10/2011, 8:22 PM
@DAHAMMA- I couldn't agree with you more man!!! FINALLY a MANLY Superman.

A Superman who isn't afraid to throw a few punches and get into a few fisticuffs.

THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS Snyder was chosen to be the director. Superman has been a very, very boring CBM hero. This film will mark the first ever time Superman will throw a PUNCH and when he does, boy-howdy I'll be clapping and cheering for him, everyone in the theater will!!!

AWESOME!!!
TinyBirdcage - 8/10/2011, 8:31 PM
If Meloni ends up being Lex Luthor, I'm going to be very disappointed in Snyder. Meloni is like five foot tall. Can Lex at least look intimidating in size comparison with Henry. Like the same height almost? IF they choose to show Lex in this film.
LP4 - 8/10/2011, 8:35 PM
@TinyBirdcage- There's no Lex Luthor in this film. He nor his company will appear in this film. I believe the early rumors of "LexCorp Hiring" were all false since those rumors dovetailed along with the rumors of Jax-Ur appearing and from this report, we know it's just Zod and Faora.

There is no Lex in this movie. Maybe he just doesn't exist in this new world of Superman.
LP4 - 8/10/2011, 8:41 PM
oh and Meloni is playing a character named- Colonel Hardy.

I still wish those Jax-Ur rumors were at least true but oh well...
Batman5 - 8/10/2011, 11:50 PM
i think the suit looks bad ass. love snyder, bring this movie on!
TChallaTchaka - 8/11/2011, 12:06 AM
The Suit does not look bad but I don't like the poofy hair. Is it just me or does his hair look bigger than most representations of Superman? ( apart from the long hair Superman back in the early 90s)
TChallaTchaka - 8/11/2011, 12:08 AM
@ WellDrawn

The hair is nearly super-saiyan vegita hair.
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 3:41 AM
@Nephillim- Think about it really, really hard. Has Lex ever REALLY existed in any of the films? I mean the TRUE Lex Luthor.

No he hasn't. I get that Hackman was supposed to be pre-crisis Luthor but what I consider the TRUE Lex is the CEO version aka- post-crisis Lex- the version that is most well-known version.

So no, technically he hasn't existed in the films nor has LexCorp when you really think about it.

So if Lex is not mentioned...nor seen in this film then I repeat myself- Lex Luthor will not exist.

Too bad really...he's actually a pretty cool villain when not all hammed up and campy like the film versions have depicted him as.
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 3:42 AM
^ Ugh i hate typos and it's late er...early morning. I repeated the word "version" twice up there. ;D
mikesinuman - 8/11/2011, 3:55 AM
it will be like sucker punch. great effects with no essence.
SamHell - 8/11/2011, 4:18 AM
@TheLight,,what does that avatar mean...seen it on smallville b4

This should be good

ROMACK - 8/11/2011, 6:31 AM
I am looking forward to this movie far more than TDKR.
leeholland - 8/11/2011, 6:32 AM
@LP4

He fights in Superman 2 and 4.
Shaman - 8/11/2011, 6:52 AM
TinyBirdcage & LP4- IMO, the best live version of Lex was John Shea's on Lois & Clark. He owned LexCorp and was definitely shorter than Dean Cain.
IAmProdigy23 - 8/11/2011, 9:10 AM
This is great exciting news..I'm a huge superman fan who's been with him threw his good years and his bad years..Im happy to see a Director who will finally do justice to Superman..If I know the kind of director Zack Snyder is and how much he loves comic book's (Let alone superman) then I'm pretty sure we will see much more than the plain old brute strength..We will finally get to see superman be put to the test and use his intelligence along with his other powers that we are familiar with...Snyder will come threw and deliver what all superman/Dc or even comic book fans wanted in a superman film..This will definitely bring high standards to DC instead of having Batman do all the talking..I can't wait for this to come out...I am very pleased
ar8898 - 8/11/2011, 10:21 AM
Somebody get in there and get some epic pics of Superman in action!!!!!!!!!!
brazilianFlash - 8/11/2011, 11:01 AM
shit suit.
brazilianFlash - 8/11/2011, 11:03 AM
hehe just kidding I just HATED that symbol
but that's just my opinion and it's not gonna change it... unfortunately.
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 12:08 PM
@Shaman- AGREED, Shea was a GREAT Luthor! The best one ever.

@leeholland- Dude those fights SUCKED. You're seriously going to make up excuses for the past films by bringing those up? Besides in the first Reeve film he never threw a punch and in the latest Superman film with Routh he again...never threw a single punch.

My point about Superman never fighting still stands.
dudemanjac - 8/11/2011, 6:38 PM
@LP4 I know you're excited that there will be "fisticuffs," but it's not like he's never gone hand to hand with ppl before. 2,3, and 4 all had him fighting someone just as strong as he was.
jpwrye41 - 8/11/2011, 7:25 PM
Just as long as Superman doesn't discover the power of throwing a cellophane 'S' I think I'll be good with whatever they are cooking up for this scene...
ZonComGMZ - 8/11/2011, 9:30 PM
Here are more photos and videos of the "Man of Steel" movie sets outside of Chicago.

LP4 - 8/11/2011, 9:37 PM
@dudemanjac- Yeah i get he "fought" in those films but for the most part the Reeve movies were all pretty bland and boring- just my personal opinion. And the last film starring routh was EXTREMELY boring.

I'm just saying- Superman films have a tendency of being boring.
JULEZ13 - 8/11/2011, 10:08 PM
To those saying that Superman DID fight in the sequels to Reeve's films IMO they don't count for the simple fact that the quality of the fights were very staged. Superman and Zod/other Kryptonians have the same abilities. They both have superspeed so why on Earth would they be fighting so slow and really just push each other around?

I think what LP4 means is that this film will be the first to give us a REAL Superman fight, one where he will use all of his abilities to defeat his opponents. Think of the fight scenes from DBZ - epic right? Well now picture those fight scenes, but with Superman and him using his powers! Now that is what we need! And that is a REAL Superman fight that counts!
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 10:15 PM
@JULEZ- Thank you so much for putting into words what i've been trying to say to these people. With these people you gotta phrase things really slowly and multiple times for them to understand lol ;P

The fights were soooooo cheesy in the reeve crap, I saw some 8th graders in a school play perform better fight scenes than those.

I'm pretty sure 90% of CBM would agree and would love to finally see Superman fight and by fight i mean fight like how Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Green Lantern...yeah how THOSE GUYS seemed to all fight in their films but Superman never really did. His staged fights are the best we got and that is just sad.
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 10:16 PM
I think people have a tough time letting go of Donner.

That's the problem. But I pray to god Snyder won't allow the reeve-heads to dictate this new movie. I said it before and i'll say it again- ONE just ONE reference to either reeve or donner and I'm walking out of the theater.

LP4 - 8/11/2011, 10:24 PM
And I hate to say it- but the "fans" who are having such a hard time letting go of the Donner/Reeve films are inadvertently KILLING the Superman character. Because they have such a hard time letting go of those old cheesy movies they aren't allowing for the character to evolve and move FORWARD. They just wanna keep him bound and chained in the past. That's exactly how snyder put it- 'Superman's been bound and chained'

These are the same so-called "fans" who basically killed Superman in 2006 and if not kept in check they'll try to do it again in 2013 but this time i don't think any of us will allow that to happen. If people love that donner stuff so much- rent it, buy it do whatever. But let the new generation have our Superman. We thought it was Routh...boy that was a HUGE mistake. Then we hoped and prayed for maybe Welling...another huge mistake.

Cavill is our man. =D
JULEZ13 - 8/11/2011, 10:26 PM
@LP4: lol. Don't walk out of the theater if you see just one reference of the Donnerverse! That's a bit extreme. Plus you know the movie is gonna be the bomb, so you know you're not gonna get up and tell your girl to follow you out cuz you know you're gonna wanna see how it ends! lol ;)

I think that people really hold on to the Donnerverse Superman mainly because that is the only modern take on Superman that we have (Superman Returns NEVER HAPPENED!!! lol). Though those films are extremely dated, being about 30-40 years old, those are the only movies we have of Superman. People don't always wanna pick up a book or watch cartoons, they wanna see how it would be in live action, so they turn to the Donnerverse because that is all that's available.

I know that is annoying, but what can you do since there's nothing else. But I do believe that Snyder will deliver. This movie is going to be fricking amazing and I can't wait to see it. Superman has a whole range of arsenals to work with in fights, which basically gives Snyder the creative freedom and permission to let his violent imaginations run BUCKWILD!! These fight scenes should top any other fight scene in CBM history and should definitely be one of the best in film history period!
JULEZ13 - 8/11/2011, 10:27 PM
@LP4: Cavill will definitely be our man!! XD
LP4 - 8/11/2011, 11:05 PM
@JULEZ- Hahaha yeah i might be acting a bit too harsh...i just get sooo tired of Donner being treated like a god over Superman. But you and JDUKE are the only ones who can keep me calm on this site because you guys are the only ones i really see eye-to-eye on in a way.

But yeah my girlfriend will KILL me if i walk out of the movie right away, LOL.
