I really think that Reverse Flash should be saved for the sequel. I think the natural choice for the first movie is Weather Wizard. He gains the weather wand by murdering his brother -- I can think of a no more fitting way to introduce Barry Allen than having him investigate the murder.

The Flash has a very poor gallery of rogues: Captain Cold, The Trickster and The Mirror Master are all so cheesy. I think Grodd would be my choice.

I think Captain Cold would be the ideal villain for Flash's first movie, seeing how Nolan would never use Mr. Freeze in his Batman films anyway. :)

Reverse Flash makes no sense for a first film.. You want to establish the main Hero in his first movie with his own "personal" powers on display. So having his first villain with the same exact powers is pointless..

Flash needs at least 2-3 villains the opposite of the Flash. I say Captain Cold & Trickster.. These characters are some-what lame name wise & artwork wise, but they can be translated into Live Action with the right Costume change....

Reverse Flash would be perfect for a sequel... Also I cant believe fans want a Gorilla as a villain, especially for a first film....smh...

The Flash has an even worse rogues gallery than Iron Man. And they had to COMBINE 2 villains just make an interesting enough character (Ivan + Vanko) as well as a supporting villain (Hammer)...........Why can't Batman or Spiderman share some of their villains with everyone?

Flash has some great villains, it's just you need to read the issues they're in.

Zoom I like, but I would much prefer Grodd or Cold.

You could tell such an epic story on the big screen with REVERSE FLASH... I don't think a lot of you are looking at this the right way. You talk as if there's a guarantee that there's going to be 3 movie's at least. WB would go into this probably with the idea that there would only be one movie and Reverse Flash is probably the best story to tell so.... I don't see the problem a lot of you who didn't vote for Reverse Flash are bitching about.

idea for a new villain! #1 flash fan goes to see this movie first thing one friday mourning(cuz it wont get midnight release)and gets super pist off cuz he's the only person still in the theater 20 mins in, long story short flash must kill his #1 fan in order to stop him from suicide bombing comic-con!

Reverse Flash is a pretty obvious choice, and I hope it wouldn't go that way. I agree that Grodd would be frakkin epic! In my opinion, Captain Cold is a pretty cool, and underrated villain. I think he could be an awesome choice if handled properly.

All of Flash's villains are a bit ridiculous for film. I think Tim Burton could pull it off though after what he dd with the Penguin.

a giant gorilla is not gonna fight the fastest man in the world. its stupid guys. might work in a comic but not on screen. we know that allen is gonna be some kind of CSI guy in the film from what the first drafts look like. i think it ll play out like iron man (ideally) where the villain is very similar to the protagonist - professor zoom is the logical choice. i think trickster could be in a sequel or maybe element.
