Thanks to I am #1 Nighwing Fan via The Blog of OA we have a leaked look at a new character from the animated DC movie Justice League Doom. The revealing look at the character looks as if it was ripped from the pages of Geoff Johns's Blackest Night story. There has been no word on what kind of role Sapphire will play in the movie, but she will be voiced by Olivia d’Abo.

UPDATE:Thanks again I am #1 Nighwing Fan via this time of The DC Movie Twitter Page for the following images.

Justice League Doom will be loosely based off of the epic tale by Mark Waid entitled Tower of Babel and should be released sometime next year.

I think in some interview somewhere it was said the story was also said to be inspired by the Justice series where it was a group of villains who discover the Justice League's weaknesses from Batman's files. That will probably explain why these villains are in the movie.

Has a 1980's look to it. I like that because I have a 1980's look to me.
supernaturalfreak - 10/3/2011, 7:31 PM
the royal flush range looks like a pimp, his "employees" (and by that i mean hoes), and their robot friend
marvel72 - 10/3/2011, 7:48 PM
the only good thing about not having a sequel to the green lantern is.........

we don't have to see that terrible unattractive blake lively become star sapphire.
ClarkFarley2012 - 10/3/2011, 7:52 PM
Is that Sebastian Shaw in the fourth pic lol?
dahamma - 10/3/2011, 7:53 PM
Question, is this gonna be an animated movie? or a series? either way, looks great
dahamma - 10/3/2011, 7:53 PM
oh nvm movie
Tainted87 - 10/3/2011, 8:51 PM
Yeah, that's J'onn's brother. His "John Jones" nickname is "Malefic", but his Martian name is Ma'alefa'ak.

I have read every single issue that he has ever appeared in... which is maybe 12 max. He's known for mind-raping J'onn's wife, killing off the entire Green Martian race (except for a few stragglers), and resurfacing to finish the job. He kills John Jones' PI partner and frames him for it, frames J'onn for a whole mess of crazy experiments that he leads the Justice League into uncovering, and then proceeds to single-handedly fight the entire Justice League on the Watchtower.

J'onn saw it through however, and hurled his brother into the sun.

FanBoy's Don't Like Anything.. Unless They Approve.... Whatever...
FlixMentallo21 - 10/3/2011, 10:00 PM
To answer jointron33's question, it's spelled Ma'alefa'ak. He's J'onn's twin brother, and his archnemesis.
joekerr93 - 10/3/2011, 10:49 PM
I think Bane and Sapphire are there to give them publicity for TDKR and possibly GL2
ROMACK - 10/4/2011, 2:31 AM
Doesn't look completely horrible.
Ichaos - 10/4/2011, 3:57 AM

I love the Royal Flush gang! My character in DCUO was Ace of Spades. He looked just like the drawing above. But they broke into my house and stole my PS3. :(
I miss U Ace of Spades!!!!
SPACEDout - 10/4/2011, 8:17 AM
this is gonna be great, but this looks very loosely based on tower of babel lol
Dedpool - 10/4/2011, 9:09 AM
Okay I guess they went way off rails with the story. I'm guessing that if they are using the original Tower of Babel storyline as a template then the Ra's al Ghul plot will stuolll stay but instead of using Batman's strategies incase the JL goes rogue, he just gathered a bunch of villains to keep them occupied. I loved the original story but I guess this brings more action. Loving the artstyle too, like "Crisis on Two Earths" and "Young Justice"
thatcoldblackcloud - 10/4/2011, 10:12 AM
I am SOOOOO tired of Bruce Timm's artstyle. Are there NO other artists in the medium?!?!
davidwiz - 10/4/2011, 10:45 AM
