Im a huge GL fan and honestly issue 1 from the new 52 was only "ok" but issue 2 was fantastic! The story, art and action was top notch. I'm loving Siniestro as GL! They should make the book about Hal and Sinestro (which I know it is sort of) being like a buddy cop (good cop; bad cop) team of GL's.

Dexter is from earth, so there's already a Red Lantern from earth

If I were the editor of the Green Lantern books, the first thing I would do is get rid of those stupid rainbow lanterns. It would take a while but I would undo most of the garbage that Geoff Johns has brought to these books.

@ar8898: Wouldn't that be counterproductive for GL sales? Remember, DC is a business not the editors' own personal playground. The Green Lantern sales, compared to other current comics, is better than ever. His popularity is at an all time high. Somebody is obviously buying these books. So, what "man of wisdom" would undo all of what's been working for the past years?

I regret to say that I am one of the people that buys these books but not because I like them. I buy them because I have bought and collected every issue of GL since I was a kid in 1994. I have seen some some amazing stories in this title in the last 17 years. I have also seen some complete garbage in these books which is the case with Geoff Johns' rainbow lantern corps. He has done some great things with the character of Hal Jordan but in the last couple of years, he is running out of good ideas and coming up with crap. He has been on this title for 7 years, it is time for him to move on. He has overstayed his welcome and it is time to get someone with new ideas. Those colored lanterns are ridiculous, feels like I am reading a damn care-bears book or power rangers in space. So once again, I am contributing to these titles but it doesn't mean that I like them. I continue to buy them with the hopes that Johns will be off this book soon and it will go back to the title that I have enjoyed for nearly 2 decades. Sorry man, but not every DC fan worships the ground that this guy walks on......contrary to what you might think.

@ar8898: It doesn't matter whether people like it or not, if you're still buying the books anyways. This is the closest thing, in my comment, I came to saying how much people love the Green Lantern books, "[Green Lantern's] popularity is at an all time high. Somebody is obviously buying these books." If you noticed, I never said everyone buying the comic must like it. I just don't get why some people just don't speak their opinion with their money. It's the only way they will be heard. Why don't you just buy the books when Johns is off it? I know his rainbow Lanterns idea will still be there, but you did say this, " His popularity is at an all time high. Somebody is obviously buying these books".

@ar8898: That last qoute was supposed to be "I continue to buy them with the hopes that Johns will be off this book soon and it will go back to the title that I have enjoyed for nearly 2 decades."

@ar8898: What? You misunderstood. In my second comment, at the very end I said, "you did say this, " His popularity is at an all time high. Somebody is obviously buying these books", but I mean to take a quote from you and say this "I continue to buy them with the hopes that Johns will be off this book soon and it will go back to the title that I have enjoyed for nearly 2 decades."
