It just seems a little far fetched for Nolan to put Robin in his Bat films.

Merry Christmas griffy :)

Anytime someone says they have a "reliable source" or they "heard from someone close to production" that they have a rumor or a spoiler, I immediately come to read the comments. All because nobody has been right for the past year on any of that. The only ones who were correct we're any actual extras on set and people who had a peek at the prologue or trailers. And when actual info leaked, WB had it removed fast.

I thought this might be the case, but regardless Nolan chose to shoot it and put it in the movie so he mist have appreciated it.

tea@ lol I should have figured you would comment. :-P Now you got Mareado all worked up.

Mareado@ I was referring to other articles where many are claiming the name on the football player's uniform is a reference to Burt Ward. I have done my best to educate them, as you just did, but it seems that some just don't get it. ;-)

Yes, a fan made it and everyone on the production of a movie that will likely bring close to a billion dollars for WB just let that slip through the cracks....

Maybe it is a Robin refrence. Robins family was killed in the comic. Maybe in this version Robin is a football player and and all the Rouges getting killed when the field blows represents his family. That plus the Ward Jersey may be the hint.
Kamdan
Kamdan - 12/20/2011, 8:13 AM
The football player in the trailer was Hines Ward of the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's not a reference to Burt Ward.
Ranger14
Ranger14 - 12/20/2011, 8:14 AM
Seriously...this is the conclusion to the Nolan franchise and trilogy. Why would they introduce Robin in the conclusion? It's a conclusion not a beginning. Start-over time again.
santoanderson
santoanderson - 12/20/2011, 8:15 AM
Football player w/ Ward on the back of his jersey is real football player "Hines Ward". He plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers (whose stadium was used to shoot the movie.)

I doubt they would cast a 35-year old half Korean, half African-American guy to play Robin.

Out of all of the shots that they recorded for the scene, Nolan decided to keep this one in. Thus, ROBIN IS IN THE FILM!!!

Garmanbozia
Garmanbozia - 12/20/2011, 8:48 AM
The extra did not bring in that sign. This was intentional, a Nolan Easter Egg. I mean, if the extra brought in that sign, Nolan and company would have digitally edited the Robin "R" out, with a 250 million dollar budget...

This is as close as fanboys & fangirls get in having a Robin in a Nolan Batman movie.
Mastyrwerk
Mastyrwerk - 12/20/2011, 8:52 AM
"So this is no more a 'clue' that Robin will be in the film than the presence of the Batman logo on a door during Following was a 'clue' that Nolan would one day make a Batman movie."

But Nolan DID make a Batman movie. So, this is either a terrible analogy, or Robin IS in TDKR, it's just that 'R' wasn't a clue by the Director.

I would agree with Grif. I haven't seen anything good yet about this movie.

I love Nolan and just about everyone of his movies but something is very off about this.

I have the same feeling about the Avengers. I haven't like any of the trailers for ether of this movies. But that just my opinion. I have high standards.
