Carrie Fisher Says She Would Return To STAR WARS

There has been rumors upon rumors as to which direction Disney's new take or Star Wars will be. Constant names have been thrown around for the directing gig, as well as, whether or not Episode VII will reunite the cast from the original trilogy. Recently Harrison Ford said he has some interest in reprising his role as Han Solo, but what about his love interest Carrie Fisher as Leia? TMZ caught up with Fisher where she told them, "Yes. Sure. Wouldn't you?" This is hardly a confirmation that she will be in the film, but it does at least open the possibility since she is interested.

Fisher also talked about the deal that Lucas made with Disney for LucasFilm. She believes that Disney low-balled Lucas, claiming that he could have gotten at least 500 Million more. Fisher also said that becoming a Disney princess is fantastic and made her day. For the latest on all things Star Wars as they develop make sure to check back here at CBM.

Time to hit the gym!
Vapes - 11/7/2012, 7:32 AM
If she got a serious personal trainer, I'm sure she'd be fine.
jessepostal - 11/7/2012, 7:34 AM
@nomis haha my god look at her. Notice the neck strap hahaha
woodsy100 - 11/7/2012, 7:35 AM
Awesome - make it so!
superotherside - 11/7/2012, 7:37 AM
Awesome. I guess they're going for some motion capture stuff, so they'll look younger. That or a cameo. IDK.

@ nomis & jessepostal

Next time, try some research and post up something that is more recent rather than pulling up pics from a low point in her life.

If reprising the role turns Carrie Fisher into the milf she always should have been, it will be the greatest thing Disney has ever done.
subzero1077 - 11/7/2012, 7:42 AM
Of course she's coming back, what else is she doing?

Actually, she's been on Jenny Creig turned herself around. She claimed she did it for her daughter and her self. However, the timing of when she talked to George with Hamill about Ep.7 kinda makes me suspisious. Time will tell.

Relax boys were just havin a little fun

Like kid actors growing out of their "cute" phase, adult actors growing older have an uphill battle.

Harrison Ford has managed to stay in pretty good shape, where we still can see a bit of his younger self. Fisher and Hamill, however, having been away from the cameras for decades, and haven't maintained the look we most remember them for.

I think that getting to see the relationship between Han and Leia after all these years in a funny and heartwarming way will be all that we need to get past how they've changed physically.
ACira - 11/7/2012, 7:59 AM
@Waylon it's planned for 2015, not 2012. Just a heads up about the teaser for the article.
jessepostal - 11/7/2012, 8:00 AM
I don't think there is gonna be a relationship with Han and leia. Pretty sure Han left after the first freshman fifty and hasn't looked back :)

@nomis do they make double wide belts?? :)

Carrie Fisher and Margot Kidder should be used as examples for young girls to show how drug use can quickly destroy their beauty.
I remember watching Superman 2 and wondering why Kidder looked hot in some scenes but old with sunken in cheeks in others. Years later it becomes known that most of Superman 2 was shot with Superman The Movie.

Then you had Fisher look less attractive in Return Of The Jedi. Yeah she had the gold bikini but she went from looking like a 20 year old in Empire to 33 years old in Jedi in just 3 years. She had a masculine voice also.
3 years after Jedi she was playing the ugly friend of attractive women.
NoAssemblyReqd - 11/7/2012, 8:05 AM
Fisher definitely looks a lot better now then she did in that "neck belt" picture. And even if she did still look like that, I'd hope that would not deter her from reprising the role. People get old, folks, even in a galaxy far, far, away.
Hudson3D - 11/7/2012, 8:06 AM
She was stunning!

Even if you haven't done drugs old age will catch up with you. Thats life!!
NoAssemblyReqd - 11/7/2012, 8:11 AM
My only concern about the possibility of bringing the trio back is that their roles won't be written big enough in the new movies, and they'll just pass on the roles. This happened with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE (the original TV actors balked at getting killed in the first 10 minutes) and INDY IV (Connery felt his role was insignificant).

It's a Catch-22 for the writers: if they write Han, Luke and Leia's roles too big *or* too small and any of them decline to participate, they're screwed.
Jerec350 - 11/7/2012, 8:12 AM
I met her last year at Dragon*Con and had all of my childhood fantasies crushed. I honestly wished I had not met her. She was a train wreck. She kept asking us if we wanted her to anoint us with glitter and she would shout, "WELL GOD D@*%!" after every sentence. She was smoking an electronic cigarette and told my 14 year old son she couldn't wait until they started making electronic opiates. I don't see how she can seriously be Leia again.
Newbus - 11/7/2012, 8:12 AM
It would funny if EP VII started with Han and Leia fighting over the grandchildren.
Hudson3D - 11/7/2012, 8:13 AM
Thank you Cipher.
SiriusC - 11/7/2012, 8:14 AM
Love that picture, batz11. The 2005 image. Gives me hope that not only could it be pulled off with the original cast, but it can be done so with an "aged gracefully" cast. She did fall apart a bit but as recently as 2007 she was looking good.
StormLoganSummers - 11/7/2012, 8:15 AM
She looks okay now. If she got in better shape and gussied herself up a bit, she'd be alright. Mark Hamil too.

Jesus.

The story goes like this, Luke who is a Jedi Master who is getting old and wants to pass on what he has learned to Leia and Han Solo's children, Leia is unsure, and Luke trains them without permission. His neice becomes really good at using the force, but his nephew has a really hard time and eventually goes toward the dark side. Luke comes clean that he trained them, Leia is upset at Luke. Han and Luke go after him in the now broke down and piece of junk Falcon. Luke makes a comment about the ship. While Han and Luke go after him, his sister sees him while using the force and makes her way to where he is, but being new to the force, like Luke was, she is not ready for what lies ahead for her, nor is her brother. Luke and Han find them both, but one is captured. Luke gives his life for his neice and guides her using the force as Ben did, to save her brother from the evil villian who has corrupted him now. She tells her dad Han, that she knows where her brother is. Han, Chewie, the droids and Han's daughter take off into hyperspeed, the end.
Hudson3D - 11/7/2012, 8:19 AM
@StormLogan: Hamil could be the new Obi-Wan Kenobi. He would look ok with a beard and a hoodie!
Danbojohnj - 11/7/2012, 8:22 AM
First woman I ever fell in love with, the later crazy addictions just made her hotter...

Lot of Han shouting at his kids for not flying the Falcon properly,Leia reminding him what a nob her was before they met....can't wait.
Danbojohnj - 11/7/2012, 8:22 AM

@CapnSquintyEyes - "If reprising the role turns Carrie Fisher into the milf she always should have been, it will be the greatest thing Disney has ever done."

WOOOOORD!!!!!

I'd tap that right now, as is. And don't lie, most of you would, too.

Regardless, we all know Harrison, Mark, and Carrie would come back and do it again. It's not like they're ABBA and broke up or something. They simply stopped being the stars of that series of movies. You KNOW they'd all do it. And it would be EPIC.
GLprime2814 - 11/7/2012, 8:31 AM
No shit she would return other than Harrison Ford every other actor in the trilogy needs work, and they would prob get payed a lot this time around.
Hudson3D - 11/7/2012, 8:34 AM
@SuperPickle.. lol

Here's a thought:
Leia is dead. Only seen in flashback to battle scene. Died during firefight with remanants of the Empire or was the target of Sith agent. Han asked Luke to raise the children and has spent time brooding and alone after Leia's death. Kids don't know much about their dad. Luke has taught the twins the Jedi ways and both are dangerously powerful and watched by the Sith. Sith kidnap the daughter and Luke takes the son to meet with Han to go rescue the girl. Han has a new crew - Chewie no longer around. Tense father/son interaction on the Falcon during Hyperspace trip. Travel leads to obscure planet where Sith rule and space battle ensues. Han reveals upgrades to the Falcon that keep them in the fight and allow them to evade fighters long enough to hide somewhere on the planet. The three leave the ship on foot and discover Sith temple where Sith Lord and Armored apprentice await with droid fighters. Luke and Han get caught in fight with droids while the son rushes the Sith. Son gets caught up with armored apprentice and is winning until the Sith lord intervenes. Han and Luke come in and Sith lord uses dark force power to break off and pull apprentice to a waiting ship for escape. Just before hatch closes and the ship departs, the face sheild of armor opens to reveal to the brother that the apprentice is his sister. Fade to credits...
DrRockso - 11/7/2012, 8:49 AM
I like her better big. On a side note, Hamill has better hair than Ford nowadays.

I'm excited. If they follow the storylines, Luke may be training Han and Leia's kids in the Jedi way...

while the Empire tries to make one last attempt to rise again.

it's kind of great... Lucas should have gone this freakin way to begin with!!!
CrowPirate1 - 11/7/2012, 9:05 AM
and I kept waiting for a Jar Jar / Ewok cross over solo movie... thank god he was bought out!!
