Hope he becomes his sidekick Oliver doesn't give him a name, Thea keeps calling him speedy, the news papers calls him red arrow, and he gets addicted to vertigo later in the show and Oliver drops him, he then leaves and come back with vengeance and calls himself arsenal because he uses more than jus the bow and arrow.

I would also like to see a version of Red Hood in this too. they have already changed some characters they could bring in Red Hood in that he is following another villian to starling city and roy works with him.

Just a thought, obviously there would be more to it, It could lead to a spin off of Red Hood and the Outlaws maybe.

I'm sick of Oliver being referred to as "The Hood" by everyone. It sounds so stupid IMO. I hope down the road he starts being called Green Arrow. I won't care if they shorten it and just call him Arrow. Both of the above are way better than "The Hood" for some reason hearing it said all the time reminds me of that horrid show "The Cape" lol

The idea sounds like it has potential... if they go the route of the original DCU.
That Arsenal was starting to get really great. The New 52 version kinda sucks

i think that he must join oliver's team but in a season 2 or 3, but he can be thea boyfriend for a while, and i dont know, something happens to thea and roy team-up with oliver, and after that he is in the team

I thought he was wasted, imo. He didn't really do anything except tell a whiney sad story and meet up Thea at the end.
Also, how lame was it as to how easy it was for Thea to track him down?

Don't get me wrong though, He seems pretty damn athletic and believable as Ollie's future partner and he seems like a good enough actor. We'll see.

Like a lot of people have said, I'm getting really sick of him being called the Hood, it's the only thing that bothers me about this show. By the end of this season they better start calling him the Green Arrow, anything else just sounds stupid.
I don't care one way or the other if he gets a sidekick, just so long as it's written well.

Smallville called Clark The Blur & now this show calls Oliver The Hood..very annoying.
Don't call him "Arrow" either,that's an object not a code name.

Call him GREEN ARROW please.

This show IS getting better, there is a lot of story building up that could turn into some really good ISH!
I am just thankful for a GA show that is taken seriously... liberties taken are a given with these sort of things. Slade and Roy coming in is just great, and i like the actors. I enjoyed Colton on Teen Wolf and who does not love The great Crixus!

Actually I like him in last episode. That fence jump he did was cool too. Hope to see him in future episodes. Not sure about the side kick though. Wouldn't mind him helping him out sometimes but too much of a good thing might make it strange. IDK it's really just how they do it.

I think it is too soon for Oliver to have a sidekick. He's still learning the ropes of being a crime fighter himself.

In the third season I think it should happen.

I hate how they tricked us with deathstroke but I could see them teaming up also if u dbags at WB stop holding the rights to batman hostage I think that would be a better teamup than Sam and dean.

I think Ollie should be called The Emerald Archer. They're already calling Malcolm Merlyn the "Dark Archer" so this is a good counterpart.

Roy's cool so far and has charm. I thought the whole mom-addicted-to-Vertigo story was an homage to his own problems in the comics, but then his line to Thea at the end about not believing sob stories leaves it open.

I don't really think Thea has it in her to be a sidekick to Ollie, although apparently she has an archery trophy or medal in her room that can be seen during the pilot. However, that could've just been an easter egg referencing the whole Speedy nickname.

I think Roy could be a good sidekick, but have him slide into the Arsenal persona instead of Red Arrow, because how many master archers can there be in a believable city? And what are the odds that they'd all be so closely related? Then again, when Helena came around, Ollie tried transitioning her from guns to arrows, so you never know.

Liked his introduction. I could see him becoming Red Arrow in future seasons as long as he gets some proper development. Thea better not become Speedy. That bitch is so freakin annoying
