some of the rogues should have a cameo but u should definitely establish the speed force with reverse flash
incrediblesuperbatspider - 8/9/2011, 9:34 AM
Professor zoom...or captain boomerang
RobinNumbah6 - 8/9/2011, 10:03 AM
i think its too soon with reverse flash. he would be perfect for a sequel
2814 - 8/9/2011, 10:21 AM
The Trickster in a Saw-ish kinda death game. Flash saves the day with speed and brains. CSI meets superhero movie.
NeilBeforeYoung - 8/9/2011, 10:24 AM
I think they should establish the speed force, but save the Reverse Flash for a sequel. Weather Wizard is a naturally first enemy - he's got a cool power, is rooted in a criminal world, and his career as WW starts out with the murder of his brother. I think Barry Allen could be investigating that murder while the Weather Wizard takes his own control.

ANY I DONT CARE JUST MAKE THE MOVIE!
GodzillaKart - 8/9/2011, 11:08 AM
I'm sorry guys, I love flash in the JLA cartoon, but he is just not big screen material. I mean, look at the top choices for villains: Gorilla Grod, Reverse Flash, and Captain Cold. Maybe if they make it G or a very light PG and direct it for 4-9 year olds?
Mechagino - 8/9/2011, 11:09 AM
Question for all nay sayers.

Why are the flash's villains lame?
GodzillaKart - 8/9/2011, 11:10 AM
@NOBO82: I think you are right. This could kill DC's movie future. They need to focus on Superman, Batman, a very violent, bad ass Wonder Woman and some of the cool second stringers. Most of the starting line up is really just kinda silly when they hit live action.
Deadpool813 - 8/9/2011, 11:14 AM
Captain Cold cuz he's my favorite villain of all time. but i would like to see Professor Zoom doing his past thing, like in the comics. Killing of Barry's mom and all that stuff.

Or origins of the The Rogues. That would be tight as well, to fit Captain Cold, Heatwave, Mirror Master and Trickster in there. Sorta like each one has a plan, Flash ruins them all then Cap. Cold gets them together for a huge final show down... That would be cool!
GiftedYoungster - 8/9/2011, 11:21 AM
Gorilla Grodd!

Take a piece of that "planet of the apes"-cgi-gorilla-money-cake :)
HemingfordGrey - 8/9/2011, 11:38 AM
The thing about a Flash movie is that one villain would not be able to carry the entire movie, unless they used Professor Zoom or Grodd.
And to all the nay-sayers, it is perfectly reasonable to write off the Flash. However, I could easily see a well done Flash movie being a hit. Flash is a cool hero, and super speed can be used in so many different ways that can captivate an audience. You just need the right director, a great script, and some good actors.
I sincerely hope Warner Bros. starts learning from mistakes and begins making great superhero movies.
jjmeylar - 8/9/2011, 11:55 AM
Captain Cold!!
SuperSomething616 - 8/9/2011, 11:57 AM
Professor Zoom is to obvious for the first film...in a b list Comic book character film do not use one of his principle villains...

Mirror master would be best for the first i think...it would create a really interesting story for the flash...
Growler - 8/9/2011, 12:02 PM
Mirror Master got my vote as I think the clever special effects possible could lead to all sorts of interesting shenanigans.
soberchimera - 8/9/2011, 12:09 PM
Mirror Master for the first film, he could fit well into the forensic science portion of the film. A killer who breaks into people homes via their mirrors and has the police baffled.

Professor Zoom for the sequel and The Rogues for the third one.
ABLEE337 - 8/9/2011, 12:11 PM
Other than Zoom, he does have a lame rogues gallery of villains. Since they suck individually they should all be in it to make up for that fact or... have Zoom for the villain.

Grodd...
redrobin1986 - 8/9/2011, 12:54 PM
reverse flash in the first movie would be too soon, he sould show up in the 2nd or third would be better
JohnnyKrypton - 8/9/2011, 1:00 PM
Zoom wouldn't fit into an origin/first appearance story...better to bring him in after the character and the speed force are fully established.

@NOBO82
1. Flash is probably the most recognizable DC character to general audiences aside from the big 3 (and Robin) and is the best candidate not named Clark or Bruce for a film (and should probably have been made before even thinking about GL).

2. DC has been publishing a Flash series pretty consistently since 1940...seems to be ok as a stand-alone character

3. His Rogues Gallery is generally considered Top 2 or 3 in the industry, along with Batman and Spider-Man. If YOU find him boring, swell, but you don't speak for everyone.

Now tell me more about how you "love dc," LOL
spiderneil - 8/9/2011, 1:14 PM
silly to have a reserve flash in the debut movie of flash. let the audence get used to flash first and then introduce a 'dark' version of him
JWStubner - 8/9/2011, 1:22 PM
@NOBO82

I don't even know where to begin telling you how wrong you are. I mean your opinion of the Flash couldn't be more ignorant. PLEASE don't speak for all of us. If you think a Flash movie would "put another hole in the coffin" for DC, then what character would YOU next adapt that has so much more mainstream appeal than the Flash? I'm honestly curious because there isn't one other than Wonder Woman and I'm pretty sure moviegoers would much rather see Flash than Wonder Woman.
JWStubner - 8/9/2011, 1:23 PM
Oh... and I went with Reverse Flash. That story writes itself if you ask me... which no one did.
TheFlash365 - 8/9/2011, 1:43 PM
@JohnnyKrypton

i totally agree with you... the origin story must focus on the main character. As a result, a guy like zoom cannot be presented in the first movie, because he is more than just a bad guy who's after the ''money'', he is related to the speed force which must be explained first! So... a guy like captain cold believe it fits ;)
blkyank - 8/9/2011, 2:15 PM
@Godzillafart

What do you mean by a very violent Wonder Woman? A good Wonder Woman movie shouldn't be anymore bloody then Captain America. As for the Flash,I agree with Johnny Krypton that The Flash should have gotten a movie before Green Lantern. As Johnny Krypton has pointed out,The Flash has a rogues gallery on the par of Batman and Spider-Man that is made up of easily to understand villians. No Parallax's with hard to understand origins here.No need to explain The Flash's powers ether.Basically the guy gets hit by lightning and can run fast. His ability to control his molecular structure can be revealed over the course of the film and is easy to understand because it ties in to his superspeed. The approach to explaining the speed force should be like the Force in Star Wars. That is, it should be expanded upon in a sequel by a character like The Reverse Flash.
krzfter - 8/9/2011, 3:49 PM
Most of them have pretty lame names. I chose Mirror Master because I think he would be a good introductory villain.
EdParker - 8/9/2011, 4:21 PM
hope the monkey wins lol
schneider625 - 8/9/2011, 5:11 PM
I agree with RobinNumbah6. I think that Flash's origin and Reverse Flash's origin would be too much for one movie. Plus, you have to build up to the worst.
Mattco44 - 8/9/2011, 6:36 PM
Zoom has my vote. But only if they do it right. I can see the time travel stuff being too much for the common movie goer who has never picked up a flash comic. I also feel that characters like Mirror Master, Captain Cold, and Gorilla Grodd could have some potential if put into the right hands.

However the problem with Grodd, is that he is basically a character from Planet of The Apes, and that will always come up if he is in the movie.
sbdc1939 - 8/9/2011, 7:44 PM
i think reverse flash is the obvious choice considering that he is the flash's equal and most of the other villians just make lame death traps, i think reverse flash would be the most epic villain to use to get the movie sequels
Wolfie - 8/9/2011, 10:58 PM
I went with Captain Cold. Reverse Flash would be better for a sequel.
SpitfireOverThames - 8/10/2011, 3:06 AM
DC U just been rebooted/restarted? Maybe its time for the creative minds to come up with some decent antagonists to the Speedster. ReverseFlash is the only character that would be worthwhile, imo..
Ichaos - 8/10/2011, 3:44 AM
Reverse Flash needs a better name. Sounds like he runs backwards.

I voted for the monkey but I liked Mar Hamills version of the Trickster on the Flash tv show
seb26 - 8/20/2011, 12:01 PM
i want see the rogues!! and captain cold for the leader of them.
EdParker - 8/30/2011, 3:24 PM
I'm frickkin dyin over here for a flash movie,
BruceMikeWayneNz - 9/11/2011, 12:22 AM
I'd also love to see a flash movie or doctor fate or Sharam or the Manhunter martian and would love to see a Justice League Movie but have superman think it up or Martian Manhunter then have one of them ask the flash and other dc comic heroes to join in each of there own movie and then have a justice League of America Movie like the Avengers movies do and that would make it so much better and have them go up againist Darkseid but what does everyone else think?
Moonwalker1991 - 10/9/2011, 4:56 PM
The Flash's true power is never properly displayed, save for one particular episode in JLU. Fanboys know what I'm talking about. Speed Force. I say go for it. Frankly after hating on X-men First Class since it was released and then being blown away by how freaking good it was, I'm tired of hating on every little thing. Bring it.
Moonwalker1991 - 10/9/2011, 4:59 PM
But the thing is that not every DC character needs a movie. Batman is leading DC, and hopefully Superman Man of Steel will make us forget Superman Returns.
