The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riely, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda, and Tony Way, Edge of Tomorrow opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on June 6th.

this feels like TASM2 level of marketing. I get it...its expected flop and they want to throw everything at the audience and try get them in to the cinema.

This is nothing like ASM2. There's like 2 trailers and 4 clips.
I bet the marketing was of 50 millions or less, not 200
Every movie has this featurettes

Ah yes! What would a Tom Cruise movie be without Tom Cruise running for his life.

@manofsteel
Correct

It's funny that a majority of films I've liked over the years have him in them and yet I'm not a "Tom Cruise" fan.

Maybe I am, maybe I'm not, but if he keeps putting out material like he has since Ms Chicago's couch incident, I'll be there for his films.., if I can.

I'm still kicking myself for not seeing Oblivion on IMAX. They used real photography on that one and projected it onto the set instead of green screen: oh boy does it show and my god or yours, it is visually incredible!

Why so much hate for Tom Crusie ? All his co-stars always talk about how much fun and how he is a really cool and good guy to be around.
ParisSun - 5/27/2014, 5:08 PM
Hate Tom all you want, the guy has put out some really good films.

Emily Blunt for Carol Danvers please.

We all know she's on Marvel's radar and we all know she turned down the role for Black Widow. Just do it Emily you're perfect for he role.

I wonder how things are going with Top Gun 2. Looking forward to that.

Even though this looks really entertaining and edge-seat action, its premise is a bit flawed, in the same way the Terminator films are. The people helping him up until the final time loop won't profit their own reality much by helping him. When they help him, he'll be dead shortly thereafter and retain the memories for the next loop, but they'll still be stuck in the time continuum in which earth gets conquered by the aliens. In a way, the whole effort ends with him saving the world so he alone can experience the benefits. And of course, the version of everyone in that alternate universe.
JediPhilosopher - 5/28/2014, 6:17 AM
Actually, I shouldn't say the premise is flawed. It's more, slightly deceiving. Of course, people in the world fight for causes every day that they wouldn't fight for if they fully understood why they're in the position fighting for those causes, and what it's actually doing to mankind and the world. So yeah, something like this is fully likely. People would help this man who's extraordinary because he has this gift he acquired, because it gives them hope, despite that the work won't actually benefit their own reality, loved ones, country, world, etc.
