• Meet CLASH, New York’s newest menace. He may be Spidey’s biggest fan, but he’s about to become one of his worst enemies.
• Wanted by the cops, turned away by the Fantastic Four, his grades are slipping, and he still hasn’t figured out this whole crime-fighting-thing. Pete’s not a hero... not yet... but he’ll get there. Somehow.

Ross' cover is okay, but definitely not close to his best work.

Looks like Perez is channeling Ditko. I like it.

I like the art. Has an old school 60's feel.
Magus - 6/5/2014, 11:55 AM
That art is amazing.

Gusto: It's not your shin I'm looking at, and kicking isn't the action of choice.

If Dan Slott ever writes Spider-Man again it'll be too soon.

so they're literally starting spidey over again? slott did a LOT of stuff to the spidey universe. they arent just abandoning it all right? there was so many places to go with it! such a unique set of circumstances. oy.
marvel72 - 6/5/2014, 3:36 PM
this looks f*ckin amazing.

I'm confused as to the time period in this comic. Everything seems to be set in the Lee/Ditko era (60's) but Clash speaks like a modern day teenage and is the only one who seems to have access to modern tech. Maybe Slott is doing that deliberately, or maybe I'm just missing something.

@staypuffed - yeah, they want to make it look like those early Spider-Man comics, but acknowledging the questions this raises for people sometimes. In the last issue, you could tell it was deliberate, cuz there was stuff like laptops and cell phones.

@glasspleiades - no these are just a couple or a few issues that are set back then. Amazing still follows Superior and is set in 616 present tense.

lol... This kind of art was crappy in the 60's or 70's because there were NO technological advancemets back in the day... just pen and pencil. Today, this is just shitty art
