I hate the new Loki. He looks gay.
patrat18 - 6/12/2014, 6:51 PM
Thor looks badass in Marvel now.
Grimfoe - 6/12/2014, 6:52 PM
yeah, I just wish he'd take that stupid helmet off!
Ramiel - 6/12/2014, 6:56 PM
So, Heaven is the Tenth Realm?

@patrat

At least, Loki looks good in the interior art.
CBMFAN8484 - 6/12/2014, 6:58 PM
So this is the same Angela from Spawn? Would love to see Spawn in the Marvel Verse.
beane2099 - 6/12/2014, 7:03 PM
This fits a lot better than seeing her in Guardians of the Galaxy. But having her as part of Thor's world with different realms and warrior goddesses and monsters and the like makes sense. Also I'm a fan of both Aaron (Thor: God of Thunder) and Ewing (Mighty Avengers) so I'm on board.
SecNotSure - 6/12/2014, 7:03 PM
This event has actually been pretty good so far. I'll probably pick this up. Thor God of Thunder is phenomenal and I've loved everything Marvel has done in his book since Marvel Now began. And Angela has been a nice addition to GOTG.

Haven't read up on Loki since his run in Journey Into Mystery ended.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 7:30 PM
oh i do love Angela.

i did not even know who she was until about 3 months ago too.
but she's great.

Black Swan is even better, i think. i love Black Swan.

@patrat - there's been some REALLY great Thor during this whole run. God Butcher pretty much became like instant classic Thor pantheon history the minute they started with it. great stuff tho.

there's something about multiple Lokis running around now too. i haven't figured out exactly what's going on with that. but old classic looking Loki is lurking around and being weird also.

since u don't like the new Loki look, you probably wouldn't like Agent of Asgard, but it's a surprising book. it's not what it seems like, really.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 7:42 PM
@Ramiel - dude, i would love to see Marvel stick in total comic book superhero imaginings of Judeo-Christian mythology....
i would freak out.

i know this is never gonna happen, but i would just love that.

but they can take aspects... they can take like... yeah, like Heaven, Nephilim, maybe some of the prophets they could get away with? Lucifer for sure.

but i mean, why stop there? and Hickman's whole weird celestial level cosmic stuff with those Kings and Builders and stuff... all that is digging up Sumerian/Babylonian mythology. and that's just like an inch away from the Jews, u know? just like a goddam inch.

just push it over there and give us all that stuff. like why couldn't there be a thing called Yahweh in Marvel Universe?
i don't know. i guess it's easy to think... who really runs around calling their god Yahweh anymore with a straight face and is gonna be all offended if he pops in a comic book and starts doing weird stuff?

u know? i know what Yahweh means, but what i mean is who's gonna really care?
they should just do it. go crazy and do it. that would be rad.

i have like this loosely thought out 10 movie series of Bible movies. and it's kinda like that. not like Noah, Noah didn't even go anywhere close to anything important. that's why it failed, i think. u gotta go all the way and really start messing with stuff. i think only recently, it's kind of maybe possible that people aren't gonna freak out too much if u do that.

it seems like people are less and less touchy about everything around those religions. i don't know why they would be, but it just seems like they are.
make so much money if somebody did it tho. but all the way fun and crazy like these movies have to be.
DeusExSponge - 6/12/2014, 7:54 PM
So is Angela still a demon?
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 8:07 PM
@DeusExSponge - what is she from?

what is her story back there?
i know i could look it up but it's more interesting to hear someone's take on it.

I get now that she's from Spawn, or something that Gaiman did...
but she was a demon? how so?
what did that mean, like what was a demon?
DeusExSponge - 6/12/2014, 8:20 PM
Deth - I'm afraid you're asking the wrong guy when it comes to her back story. All I know is that she's from Spawn and that she was a demon in that universe. I've read that Marvel changed her into an alien and was just wondering if she was still an actual demon (instead of being described as one).
BritishMonkey - 6/12/2014, 8:27 PM
This thing really exists.
I hope it's just some Loki devilry.
Chewtoy - 6/12/2014, 8:28 PM
She looks pretty ridiculous in this day and age fighting while nearly naked.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 8:38 PM
@DeusExSponge - ah, thanx, i should really just check it out.
i've never read Spawn. so that might be a good thing to do anyways.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 8:40 PM
@DeusExSponge - oh, and her origins in Marvel, i think are unexplained so far, not exactly, this might go a long way towards that.

but she popped out of this strange event, the same thing that a bunch of other weird stuff happened. but basically she just popped up from another dimension, i guess is what it comes down to.

and she's just really intent on getting to Heaven. that's all i know of her overall story.
dethpillow - 6/12/2014, 8:42 PM
so a nearly naked woman who can kick pretty much everyone's ass, just pops out of nowhere and demands to know where Heaven is cuz she really needs to get there.

Angela.

that's what it says in her wikipedia for some reason.
jimoakley666 - 6/12/2014, 10:04 PM
This Angela seems a bit shoe-horned and contrived and very... lame. What's with the oxo tape?
Epicboy - 6/12/2014, 10:45 PM
So is Loki evil or not
Gruff - 6/12/2014, 10:48 PM
If this story introduces Spawn from the Tenth Realm I'd cr#p my pants with delight!
loki668 - 6/12/2014, 11:19 PM
@Epicboy

Isn't "evil" just a word? Interchangeable between people, depending on one's perspective, really. "Good" and "evil" are just arbitrary labels supported by one's sense of ethnocentrism ;)

I remember Angela from the Spawn comics. She was an angel sent to kill Spawn, but ended up helping him. She's killed several versions of Spawn, throughout history, but ended up on Simmons' side. I think that she was brought to the 616 universe by the same event that sent Galactus to the 1610 (Ultimate) universe. I'm curious to see what this "Tenth Realm" is like.
LittleDanglyThing - 6/13/2014, 1:05 AM
@dethpillow

I'd love to see some Babylonian stuff and Yahweh... although christians and muslims know Yahweh is Jesus so there would definitely be a fit.
LittleDanglyThing - 6/13/2014, 1:06 AM
When does this come out? I've been waiting for this and I still don't have a date!
Shadowmaster35 - 6/13/2014, 1:48 AM
@DeusExSponge & dethpillow
She wasn't a demon she was an angel and a hellspawn hunter so she and Spawn didn't really get along at first.

Glad to see that they're making her a part of the 9 Realms tho. I think that she fits in much better there than with the guardians. Still, it was cool her short stint with them.
TelaVizion - 6/13/2014, 4:10 AM
This is great. So that explains why "humans" were just a myth/legend from the "Heaven" she came from.
MisterPL - 6/13/2014, 5:55 AM
@ patrat18

WTF are you talking about? Loki doesn't look gay. He looks morose.
Roguish - 6/13/2014, 6:14 AM
Angela, Shmangela.
vtopa - 6/13/2014, 7:00 AM
She was super cool when she was with Image:

XF14 - 6/13/2014, 8:11 AM
You know why Thor looks awesome? He wears his HELMET. Freaking MCU...
thunderforce - 6/13/2014, 8:23 AM
Why do I have the feeling that we will be seeing her in an Avengers movie sometime soon .
uvsk420 - 6/13/2014, 8:29 AM

sicknimon - 6/13/2014, 8:43 AM
yeah, why couldn't she have just stayed on GOTG
johnblake - 6/13/2014, 10:28 AM
Some explain to me if her image time line is still canon, or is she just a new marvel version of herself. I'd really like to know.
marvel72 - 6/13/2014, 4:43 PM
looking forward to reading this,it could be quite interesting.
matthuliz - 6/14/2014, 8:02 AM
