Come on Marvel Studios...you see this 1000 foot tall unstoppable giant about to destroy the entire earth? You see Thor having to get the ultimate weapon to defeat him? How have you avoided these CGI titans in the first two solo movies?

You see similar mythical fantasy movies like the upcoming Hercules, with every CGI beast and monster under the sun? Quit it with the actors in makeup and standing on milk crates :)! Thor is a CGI GIANT killer, not merely a conqueror of costumed actors :)! There should be giants, monsters, dragons, mass destruction, and torn up costumes for Hemsworth!

Avengers is the best "Thor movie" of the three! You brought in the A-CGI guys, you're coming at Thor with Hulks and Leviathans! Kurse and Destroyer were cool, but the only thing big you can come up with in the solo movies is a giant spaceship?!

Step up to the plate with Thor 3!
TheGambitFreakIsBatmanOfCBM - 6/15/2014, 5:55 AM
Did King Thor just castrate Galactus?
Snotzo - 6/15/2014, 6:03 AM
They killed Toothgrinder and Toothgnasher, unforgivable. Seriously great series though, art and story.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 6:30 AM
Necro-Thor? Eater of World Eaters? Awesome!

@OdinSon

Marvel Studios don't know what they are doing with Thor. You say that Avengers was the best "Thor movie", yet he was nerfed big time in that movie.
OdinSon2k14 - 6/15/2014, 7:04 AM
I'm talking in terms of WHAT Thor should be fighting, and the scale! Whedon nailed it! Thor fights the "little guys" like Loki and Malekith...but when you're talking about a movie theater and upwards of 200M budgets?! Where are the Leviathans in the solo movies?! You're supposed to throw a couple of those guys in too! Ymir, Mangog, the serpent, a Celestial, something!

The new Hercules trailer...you got those guys like Hades' zombies for Herc to mow through. But they brought those CGI in, and not just to do inanimate objects like cities! These guys are pumping out a whole menagerie of BEASTS!

On half the money in the budget...Wrath of the Titans with Kronos and giant cyclops, Percy Jackson's giant demon...if God of War does a movie, I bet Kratos has several CGI giants lined up....this is Thor, these guys need WAKE UP!
ThePowerCosmic - 6/15/2014, 7:07 AM
Marvel Studios is doing a great job with Thor. He is way more likeable and relateable in the films.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/15/2014, 7:09 AM
He better not kill Galactus! Nobody should be able to do that.
KindredMac - 6/15/2014, 7:20 AM
Really REALLY love King Thor.

Would love to see Marvel take on some of these properties in the cinemas...
King Thor, Spider-Man 2099, eXiles, etc...
batz11 - 6/15/2014, 7:23 AM
Please, give us at least one more scene with Thor and his helmet on, [frick]...cover looks great!

Thor BETTER battle this guy in Thor 3!

Marvel Studios is doing a great job with Thor.

Haha! That's why he doesn't even fly in his own movies. Thor was only great during his battle in Jotunheim.
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 7:30 AM
@ThePowerCosmic I disagree. While Thor is enjoyable, and The Dark World is utterly dense (yet can be enjoyable), they have yet to give me the real Thor.
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 7:31 AM
@Ramiel Exactly! That was full beast mode. That scene was perfect and really showed what he can do. I have yet to see Thor reach that power level again.
Phronesis - 6/15/2014, 7:32 AM
Anyways, I'm on issue 16 with this. LOVING it so far.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 7:38 AM
@OdinSon

I doubt you'll see any behemoths like Ymir, Surtur, Celestials, Midgard Serpent, etc in any of Thor's movies. I think MS will stick with the sizes like the Frost Giants, Destroyer, Executioner, Ulik, and Kurse.
grif - 6/15/2014, 8:05 AM
all i can say is that. galactus looks cool as [frick] all damaged up like that. and the girls of thunder are lame as [frick].
thunderforce - 6/15/2014, 8:12 AM
Don't [frick] with Thor , so badass .
TheBoss117 - 6/15/2014, 8:17 AM
God I love this book *smh*
ThePowerCosmic - 6/15/2014, 8:18 AM
Ramiel

Thor flies in the films all the time by holding onto his hammer just like the comics. He has done this in Thor, Thor 2 and the Avengers! Sometimes I wonder if people on this site have actually seen these films or just forgotten everything.

In my opinion I never cared for Thor in the comics. The film version made me care about him.
Roguish - 6/15/2014, 8:21 AM
Thor 3 needs to be about Ragnarok, although they haven't introduced Balder yet so they'd better work him in rather quickly.

Thor flies in the films all the time
---

Haha! Falcon in Cap 2 alone has flown more than Thor has in 3 movies.
ThePowerCosmic - 6/15/2014, 8:53 AM
Ramiel

But my point was that he DOES fly in the films and you said he didn't. What you really meant to say is that he doesn't fly enough for your liking....correct? I feel like he flies quite a bit.

Also who cares if Falcon flies more? His name is FALCON! It's the one thing he does.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:00 AM
These are the only times we see Thor fly in the movies

TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/15/2014, 9:02 AM
I agree with @powercosmic. Thor has flown many times in the film.

@Ramiel what they hell are you talking about Marvel nerfing Thor? I heard you say this a few times but I don't see it. His power level has been either to the max or he faced foes that were stronger (Malekith w/Aether, Kurse). He has blown threw giant alien, frost giant monster, and a kronan. When needed he has flown in jutenhiem, when he regains his powers, when he flew across the rainbow bridge to attack loki, when he was told by cap to destroy the chituari from the air, took down some Leviathans, when we first meet Thor in avengers, he flies when the dark elves attack asgard, and he definitely flies in the battle with malekith. You make no sense. ;)
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/15/2014, 9:04 AM
Also what is your concern with Thor flying all the time? He isn't flying around like superman. @Ramiel.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:09 AM
@Remy

Flying off screen doesn't count. And he has been nerfed tremendously. The Thor who laid waste to Jotumheim is missing.
LordHuck - 6/15/2014, 9:11 AM
grif

Why? Do you have to be a dick in 99% of every post you make?

How old is Thor at this point, 15,000 years old? A few Granddaughters are to be expected.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:14 AM
Also, in the Battle in Jotunheim, Thor's blows were sending Frost Giants flying all over the place. In TDW, his blows on the Marauders and Dark Elves barely had any knockbacks.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/15/2014, 9:17 AM
Then name these points because your not doing a good job at convincing many besides yourself or anyone without rationale. Thor's battle with malekith was epic. Also you want to see Thor laying waste to cities like in man of steel? Lol. We all know the issues that went down on this site due to a murderous superman. ;)
BasedThanos - 6/15/2014, 9:22 AM
The Thor movies are mad underwhelming. Of all their heroes, Marvel Studios does not take Thor seriously, which is sad. The movies focus FAR too much on comic relief. Why the [frick] does Darcy have more screentime than the Warriors Three, Lady Sif, Heimdall, Tyr, and most of the Asgardian characters??? Why? Because Marvel is too chicken shit too give us a balls out, epic fantasy Thor movie. Hopefully I'm wrong and Thor 3 gives us the REAL THOR.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/15/2014, 9:24 AM
Lol, your concerned about the distance that his enemies are blown back by now? Lmao!!!! @Ramiel your cool man but your fighting a fools man argument. You going to sit hear and tell me that every time someone lays a finger on Thor they should be blown to pieces. If that's the case what's the point of having the avengers? What's the point of having the warriors three? What's the point of having odin? Your having gripes that are not that big of a deal. ;)
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:24 AM
"Thor's battle with malekith was epic."

No, it wasn't. That battle was very short and hardly any blows were delivered. Thor hit Malekith only 4 times.

"Also you want to see Thor laying waste to cities like in man of steel? Lol. We all know the issues that went down on this site due to a murderous superman."

Two different characters w/ different set of morals.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:27 AM
"Of all their heroes, Marvel Studios does not take Thor seriously, which is sad."

Even in the comics, Thor isn't taken seriously. Characters like Sentry and Hyperion have higher priorities than Thor. The only reason marvel NOW's Thor is getting any respect is because he has move tickets to sell.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:29 AM
"If that's the case what's the point of having the avengers?"

Thor doesn't need the Avengers.

"What's the point of having the warriors three? What's the point of having odin?"

None of those characters are being used well in the MCU.
BasedThanos - 6/15/2014, 9:30 AM
While I do feel Thor is watered down in the movies, I have more problems with the overall tone of the Thor films. A Thor films should be in the same thematic vein of The Lord of the Rings. Focus more on Asgard and its culture, politics and people. Give us Game of Thrones meets LOTR that is what Thor should be, not a scifi action comedy.
marvel72 - 6/15/2014, 9:33 AM
wow this looks f*ckin amazing.
Ramiel - 6/15/2014, 9:33 AM
"A Thor films should be in the same thematic vein of The Lord of the Rings."

Funny considering that Norse Mythology influenced LOTR.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/15/2014, 9:34 AM
@ramiel Thor vs Malekith was epic. Thor vs. Kurse was epic. Those two with upgraded powers was a bit too much for Thor as he needed Loki and the humans for help (as he has sought help by humans on the comics as well). The superman comparison is has always been around and it has nothing to do about morals. In the comics these heroes can go all out. In film you have dethrottle these power sets or Thor would be invincible. Nobody cared about superman because it was never hurt. Thor isn't on the level as Odin or Bor. We are literally watch Thor grow up as these films can go on like Harry Potter. Even in Asgard or other realms I want to see Thor get beat down like in Thor 2 then get back up and show he is vunerable. You want Thor to be all powerful then we will see fight like he had against the kronan and the destroyer to make you happy. 1 min fights. You'll be glad then right? Smh. ;)
BasedThanos - 6/15/2014, 9:35 AM
Like @OdinSon2k14 said, where are all of the epic, giant monsters and gods Thor regularly clashes with? Movies like LOTR, The Hobbit, Wrath of the Titans, hell even Percy Jackson give us dragons, giants, giant fire titans and other mythical creatures that we have yet to see in the Thor movies. But the Thor movies give us 10 ft Frost Giants and Space Elves *yawns*
BasedThanos - 6/15/2014, 9:39 AM
I've said it before, but I think Chris Hemsworth will make a more badass Thor when he's in his late 30s/early 40s. Like Hugh Jackman with Wolverine.
TheRealRemyLebeau - 6/15/2014, 9:40 AM
Ummmm Thor 2 did feel like a hybrid of lord of the rings/star wars/game of thrones while in asgard. They keep that up they are golden. I don't want no medieval look to Thor while your dealing with space and rainbow bridges. Also you said Thor doesn't need the avengers? That's the most asinine statement I've heard today. Every hero needs help as depicted in the comics. So if marvel took Thor out the roster of the avengers how would you feel? If you dare say I would be pissed then slap yourself now!
