More made up retcon bullshit by amateur fanfiction writers who happened to have been hired by Marvel.

Silk has man-hands.

Seriously, she needs a decent manicure. Her nails look like shît.
Mrcool210 - 6/25/2014, 11:23 AM
So the Spider bit peter, then it bit someone else then it crawled away long enough to then get eaten. Yeah, makes so much sense.
dethpillow - 6/25/2014, 11:27 AM
why would it be eaten?
Gusto - 6/25/2014, 11:27 AM
If it's got Daredevil in it you know it's gonna suck.
dethpillow - 6/25/2014, 11:29 AM
spider-man always looks so dumb with other heroes next to him, like in these pictures.

it feels embarrassing.
DVonShakari - 6/25/2014, 11:31 AM
Silk is somehow going to be "better" than Spider-Man...callin it now!
CrimsonDynamo - 6/25/2014, 11:33 AM
Rubbish. Make it stop please.
DVonShakari - 6/25/2014, 11:33 AM
dethpillow - 6/25/2014, 11:35 AM
look what she's doing to him tho, and look how she's got those creepy hands and is skinny like Jollem says. and she has too many videotapes and posters of 90s movies we saw in another issue.

how is any of that "better" than Spider-Man? she doesn't have windows.
that's not "better" that's totally "worse".
CaptainSporty - 6/25/2014, 11:36 AM
DR DOOM

YOU ARE A FAN FIC WRITER! I see your work all te time here! so why exactly are you making fun of these writers? They may suck, but cmon bro. If you were any better you shouldve been hired. (Which TBH your stories are great so...They should.)
CaptainSporty - 6/25/2014, 11:36 AM
My grammar sucks.
CaptainSporty - 6/25/2014, 11:37 AM
Also, Mary Jane is silk.
CaptainSporty - 6/25/2014, 11:37 AM
Im calling it.
DVonShakari - 6/25/2014, 11:41 AM
Better meaning her powers or abilities.....I'm sure they'll find a way to write that in.....callin it!

Mary Jane is Silk......believin' it!!
DrDoom - 6/25/2014, 11:42 AM
@CaptainSporty

I'm not decrying fanfiction.

I'm decrying poor writers.
Prime - 6/25/2014, 11:47 AM
@DVon Now that's a Spiderwoman we can all get behind...
DVonShakari - 6/25/2014, 11:50 AM
@Prime
Yeah right behind...
InfiniteMonkey - 6/25/2014, 11:56 AM
Peter Parker Sucks.

The same shit for decades and it hasn't moved from New York and the same angst and drama.
dio - 6/25/2014, 12:21 PM
By the thumbnail alone , I'm going to say it was chronic masturbation..
KINGPEN266 - 6/25/2014, 12:21 PM
peter parker has gotten a little stale....hope marvel turn it up a bit
dio - 6/25/2014, 12:22 PM

siggisuperman - 6/25/2014, 12:35 PM
I think that when someone who is an Amateur writer makes fun of and belittles the work of someone who is a paid writer, It's more often than not a manifestation of envy.
Odin - 6/25/2014, 1:32 PM
What DrDoom said.
KrazyForKomix - 6/25/2014, 1:40 PM
It's Original Sin that's stale. Slotts been doing a great job.
Namor - 6/25/2014, 1:40 PM
hahahaahah!
DTor91 - 6/25/2014, 3:33 PM
Poor writers…..that's why Slott writes Spider-Man and you're not.
Blackhelicopter - 6/25/2014, 3:39 PM
Silk's hips don't lie
sameoldthing - 6/25/2014, 3:44 PM
It's not enough that Marvel has a shit ton of Spider-Man knock offs that seriously dilute the unique quality of Spidey.
Only Venom should exist as a dark version of himself. No others should exist.

Having another person get bit by same spider is a terrible idea.
What's next, will the same guy that shot the Wayne's in crime alley go the next street over & shoot another couple & that child becomes a vigilante too?...that's how stupid this is.
Jollem - 6/25/2014, 3:56 PM
yeah, knock-offs

i think a lot of people gotta spend more time being fans first instead of fanboys first
TheOverlord - 6/25/2014, 4:04 PM
50 years from now this headline will read: "As we all know by now, Spider-Man, Silk, the Arachnaking, Spider-Ghost, Captain Cling, Samantha Parker, Spider-Man 21, J. Jonah Jameson and Tony Stark weren't the only ones bitten by the radioactive spider on that fateful day..."
DrDoom - 6/25/2014, 4:54 PM
I love how people seem to live in this fantasy world where everyone who deserves a chance to work for major companies gets it.

Newsflash, it doesn't. It doesn't matter how talented you are. Getting into creative industries requires a certain degree of luck on top of whatever talent you do (or think) you have. Industries aren't run by supercomputers who are able to keep track of every single individual who has ever been born and knows exactly who to hire to get the best content. Industries are run by people, who will only meet or know a certain amount of people in their lives.

You know why I'm not writing Spider-Man? Because I'm nowhere near Marvel Headquarters.
Because I am in the middle of university and can't exactly relocate at this time.
Because I don't agree with their unpaid internship program, which I have researched.
Because I just so happen to not have been magically found by someone who could put me in that position.

Just because I'm not there, doesn't mean that I cannot criticize Dan Slott, who is there. Just because he's luckier than me does not make him a better writer.
TheOverlord - 6/25/2014, 5:22 PM
At a certan point, comics stopped being abut producing original stories and started being about recycling the companies' trademarked properties ad infinitum so that they could legally defend their copyrights. That's why nobody ever ages, the plots all seem stale and amateurish and ultimately nothing ever changes. Boring.
TheOverlord - 6/25/2014, 5:24 PM
That being said, there are some really good artists working in the industry today.
