From La Femme Nikita and The Professional to The Fifth Element, writer/director Luc Besson has created some of the toughest, most memorable female action heroes in cinematic history. Now, Besson directs Scarlett Johansson in Lucy, an action-thriller that tracks a woman accidentally caught in a dark deal who turns the tables on her captors and transforms into a merciless warrior evolved beyond human logic.
 
 


Starring Scarlett Johannson, Morgan Freeman and Analeigh Tipton, Luc Besson's Lucy is set to be released on July 25th, 2014.

She's a totally overrated actress. Her looks can't carry her any further. She at one point was average as an actress and beautiful to look at but she's lost something deep inside her and her actions and expressions seem very cliche and forced.
I think that being in Hollywood and giving herself up sexually to anyone in power has left her empty and hollow inside. It shows in her acting now.

The 10% brain capacity thing has been shown to be a myth only and so for the movie to operate on that premise is a bit...stupid.

Agreed. It's stupid that this film using this whole 10% thing. It's already disproven, and the movie doesn't look good anyway. Johannson was great in Under the Skin though.

I agree that the premise is stupid, but the film looks great. It's your typical bandes dessinees ultra-violence, and none the worse for it.

Scarjo never fails to look good though, and it's cool that she seems to have gotten a taste for action films.
