But the day has come where his best is not enough…

Left without his mutant healing factor, his enemies now close in for the kill – and the Wolverine faces his greatest battle alone. As he runs the gauntlet of his deadliest foes, be there when the once indestructible killing machine makes his final stand! What does a world without Wolverine look like? Be there when DEATH OF WOLVERINE shakes the foundations of the Marvel Universe this September!

Haha... okay.
staypuffed - 7/12/2014, 5:30 PM
These would be cool if they actually put any thought into them... instead they just plastered the Canadian flag on the covers.
Doopie - 7/12/2014, 5:32 PM
a bit cheap really. The covers are still cool and all but there hasn't been much imagination gone into these. it really is just a Canadian flag in the background
dethpillow - 7/12/2014, 5:42 PM
Canadians get no respect, i tell ya.
couldn't they have at least done something with mounties, or beavers or something? or characters from Alpha Flight for these?

but like u guys are saying, totally just random, and lets change the background. Japanese swords, Canadian flag. fitting tribute, indeed.

i like that second one tho.
mgeoff88 - 7/12/2014, 5:46 PM
It's nice they are directly referencing Wolverine's Canadian heritage, but these covers could use some creativity.

Josh, you didn't say Wolverine is also a lover... That's bush league!
dethpillow - 7/12/2014, 5:47 PM
i think what's gonna happen is Wolverine is gonna die. then he'll come back with this epiphany that happened while he was dead, that he's been living a lie this whole time, and he can hardly believe it's true.

and then he'll tell everyone that his name isn't really "Logan".
that his name is "Lognan". and he'll be serious about it.

and a lot of characters will realize that Logan is just a made up name, and not know what he could be talking about. but no one would bring it up to him cuz he was acting so weird about it. and everyone would just start calling him "Lognan".

@mgeoff - this is a panel that always makes me happy and remember that wolverine truly is a lover...

Chekkarma - 7/12/2014, 5:52 PM
Those would all be dope posters.
marzblackmann2 - 7/12/2014, 5:55 PM
you know, I'm so done with this Killing of a super hero b.s.
Comedian03 - 7/12/2014, 6:01 PM
They should've released these on July 1st for Canada Day.
MrMartinMarvel - 7/12/2014, 6:01 PM
Well, bye Wolverine, see you in a year or so…eh. ;)
grif - 7/12/2014, 6:24 PM
how will he be dead when he is in 20 other comics?
mgeoff88 - 7/12/2014, 6:27 PM
@dethpillow Canadians? I'm a big fan...

;)

I don't respect people like this though:

MercwithMouth - 7/12/2014, 6:31 PM
As a Canadian, not impressed.
dethpillow - 7/12/2014, 6:34 PM
@mgeoff - oh no, i didn't mean to insult Canadians at all. maybe i came off wrong. i've actually never met a Canadian i didn't like. but that doesn't surprise me.
i used to live in Seattle, i never went there, but i'd run into some who were visiting. and yeah, the girls especially are definitely special that i've met.
:)

ha.
dethpillow - 7/12/2014, 6:36 PM
but just as long as we all remember..

every Canadian rose has a Canadian thorn.
:0)
dethpillow - 7/12/2014, 6:37 PM
but also...
don't look a Canadian gift horse in it's Canadian mouth.

so two sides to that Loonie, indeed.
mgeoff88 - 7/12/2014, 6:44 PM
@deth I don't remember that comic. I was thinking more like these:

That one you posted up is a great panel though. I could see why you like it so much.
Titanace - 7/12/2014, 7:13 PM
As a Canadian.....I say.............not bad.
FlixMentallo21 - 7/12/2014, 7:30 PM
Quit it with the constant comic book deaths, ya hosers!
Comedian03 - 7/12/2014, 7:56 PM
As a Canadian, I say, meh what's the big deal eh?
MisterPL - 7/12/2014, 8:02 PM
"The Death of Wolverine."

AKA Disney/Marvel's latest "FÜCK YOU!" to Fox.

"You won't give us rights back to Fantastic Four? We'll devalue the property by not doing any FF merchandising and canceling the comic that started it all." And now they're pulling similar shît with X-Men's most popular mutie.

Believe me; Disney/Marvel wants nothing more than to get these properties back under their complete creative control and now they're killing off Wolverine, the only character in Fox's Marvel portfolio worth keeping.
SniktBub - 7/12/2014, 8:04 PM
*SORRY*
MercwithMouth - 7/12/2014, 8:26 PM
@dethpillow

Skid Row was the shit! Sebastian Bach is one of the greatest singers ever!
Comedian03 - 7/12/2014, 8:38 PM
MercwithMouth
I like to think Skid Row and Rush kind of make up for the fact that we cursed the world with Justin Bieber and Celine Dion.
DeusExSponge - 7/12/2014, 10:50 PM
Canadian variant, and all they do is plaster the Canadian flag in the background. Fellow Canadians, we should rise above this and demand freedom for the North!!!!
loki668 - 7/12/2014, 11:18 PM
They didn't just paste the Canadian flag on these! If you buy them, you'll find that, if you scratch them and then sniff them, they smell like maple syrup.

Better?
DeusExSponge - 7/12/2014, 11:44 PM
You'll never fool me Loki!!!
loki668 - 7/13/2014, 12:04 AM
BUY THE GODDAMN BOOK!!!!!
jimoakley666 - 7/13/2014, 12:54 AM
Wolverine lying in a pool of blood in the shape of the maple would have been much more imaginative.
Titanace - 7/13/2014, 5:48 AM
His claws cutting through pouting...
Titanace - 7/13/2014, 5:54 AM
Poutine...
SCURVYDOG619 - 7/13/2014, 5:55 AM

ManCalledSting - 7/13/2014, 6:19 AM
He doesn't die, I'm calling it.
unknownguy - 7/13/2014, 7:14 AM
Someone should get logan some shoes for his 234th birthday.
rabid - 7/13/2014, 9:08 AM
Is he really going to die?
Or is he going to get sent to an alternate plane of grim existence where Sabretooth rules as king?
And how is Sabretooth planning to send NYC to this other dimension when the Earth is presently cut off from space and time travel?
Canary - 7/13/2014, 3:49 PM
Yes, as a Canadian, I approve - don't mind the Canadian flag plastered all over the place. Lord knows we see enough of the US flag (just sayin')....
I like the third cover best...
