I'm certainly not surprised. Chris mentioned in an interview that if Guardians of the Galaxy did well he would love to visit children that were in hospitals that wanted to see "Star-Lord" in person. True to his word he's done a few since the release of the film.

Chris Pratt's always been awesome; unlike most actors/actresses, this guy has always been friendly and involved in charities.

Even though I didn't like GOTG, I'm glad it introduced me to Chris Pratt and all his awesomeness

Not that this isn't great and all, but why don't these famous actors ever go to hospitals that aren't exclusively filled by the kids of the rich or the upper middle class? I want to see a star go to a hospital in Inglewood, not the OC.

I hate to be a downer, it just bugs me that it's still the privileged kids getting this stuff.

One of the most consistent things that Marvel Studios has done has is hire good PEOPLE.

@aknightinarkham

In Detroit there was a sick kid who only had a week to live and a bunch of his friends did some hashtag thing on Twitter to have Eminem met him. Em heard about it and went to the kid's home. Days later the kid died.

You looking for something like that?

How does Orange County automatically make it 'upper class'?

@Josh Wilding. Hey dude you gonna report on that Star Wars trailer coming out with Age of Ultron? Screenrant. DO IT! Trailer is supposed to have the original cast in it.

@skidz

Is anyone in any of the CBMs at Fox, Sony, Marvel, or WB/DC really bad people? I mean all of them likely do charity work. There are numerous stories about Bale with the Sandy Hook as well as visiting sick kids. Henry did it as well as Hardy.

I don't think there isn't an actor in any of the 4 studios who is a bad person.
skidz
skidz - 1/17/2015, 7:26 PM
Or make it's patient's 'privileged'?

I like that he wasn't promoting it or saying "look at me look at me!" he just did it and posted a sincere note to the little girl. Its a shame that more actors don't take time out to do something like this.

A tip of the hat to you sir

@Levitikus: I'm not trying to start a flamewar here. I'm sorry if I offened you by stating an opinion about Marvel. Next time I will make a point to mention EVERYONE.

@HurricanXavier

Why?

I still think it's a great thing he did this, I just wish there was more of it to go around to kids who weren't already privileged in someway. And I know, that sounds odd given these kids are at the hospitals, but it's not false. And I'm not just talking out of my ass either. I spent a lot of time in a hospital as a kid. Leukemia. And I did get a make a wish too. I'm not being one of those bitter people who think that's a bad thing.

@skidz

I can understand. I wasn't trying to start a flame war either but when you think of it, it's nice how all 4 studios at least has good actors and actresses in terms of personality. It's the one thing all the studios are doing good in at least when you think about it.

Yes. Even you Sony. Heh.

The person who played Lady Sif in Marvel's Thor was in full costume when she visited kids in a hospital. She looked good too. :)

Who gives a crap? People visit the dying constantly. They're called Hospital volunteers. Show that and I'll be impressed.

@Levitikus: And I chose to mention Marvel. Because the man here was in a Marvel film. If it been about Christian Bale (what he did was awesome) I would've probably mentioned them.

I enjoy watching movies. I also enjoy television to pass the time when I'm home. Sometimes I'll listen to music rather than watching television.

Chris Pratt is an awesome guy. And that's great Emma is cancer free!

No one, especially a little kid, should have to go through chemotherapy.
