Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Stan Lee brought up his cameo in The Avengers and judging from his reaction in the below video interview, it sounds as if it will be something very special indeed! All we know so far of course is what we spotted in those set photos during the filming of the movie in New York (Chris Evans was the only Avenger present and in his civilian duds). Stan also does a pretty fierce impression of the Hulk while discussing the upcoming release of the downloadable Marvel storybooks for children, although there's currently no embed code available, so click on the image below to watch the video.

tweeeeenkies3 - 1/11/2012, 6:26 PM
I loved his cameo in Thor...It made me laugh!

I hope it is funny...I love Stan!
He is like, the Hugh Hefner of the nerd world...No one can beat him!
kingmonkeyman - 1/11/2012, 6:30 PM
He's going to be the guy wearing the Stripperella costume.
JDUKE25 - 1/11/2012, 6:31 PM
Hopefully it's just a quick cameo and not a 15 second scene with dialogue like Spider-man 3. That was....ugh...

His Thor cameo was pretty funny.
SuspenseSmith - 1/11/2012, 6:32 PM
They're always great. It's Stan [frick]ING Lee!

I know that's not his middle name, but still.

I'd be like this if I met Stan Lee in person... probably give him a heart attack though:
SuspenseSmith - 1/11/2012, 6:33 PM
He should start cameoing in DC movies too, just because... lol
comicbookjerk - 1/11/2012, 6:35 PM
He always says its gonna be great....
MaddMonkk - 1/11/2012, 6:37 PM
I just want to hear him say "Excelsior!"
SOAL!!!!!
SuspenseSmith - 1/11/2012, 6:40 PM
I have to admit though, it has become a sort of "where's Waldo" for comic book movies...
MaddMonkk - 1/11/2012, 6:48 PM
Stan Lee is the Man!
EpicMovieFan - 1/11/2012, 6:59 PM
His cameos are really cool, proud to say I met him at comic con, shook his hand and said "Your the man stan!" haha
luckylu - 1/11/2012, 7:08 PM
thats awesome that he has a cameo but seriously when has he every said anything negative
95 - 1/11/2012, 7:08 PM
Stan Lee makes Marvel a true marvel.
He's definitely a character himself.
Can't wait to see his cameo.
Tainted87 - 1/11/2012, 7:11 PM
This man has class. I'm glad he's still doing cameos. He's part of the generation that made these characters what they are, and it only makes sense that they be cheesy and silly.
Mechagino - 1/11/2012, 7:11 PM
I wish Jack would get created. :(
SuspenseSmith - 1/11/2012, 7:12 PM
@luckylu...

yeah, he said Spiderman 3 was going to be great... [frick]ing liar.

RobertDanger - 1/11/2012, 7:32 PM
My favorite Stan Lee cameo is also the most totally uncalled for one. By this, of course, I mean his cameo in The Princess Diaries 2. "He's not in that movie, you lying dick!" I hear you saying. Well, shut your noise.

The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement | Stan Lee | Movie Trailer | Review
SuspenseSmith - 1/11/2012, 7:42 PM
@RobertDanger... holy [frick] that's awesome.
thalidomide - 1/11/2012, 7:50 PM
He's going to wear a Batman suit.
GreendaleHumanBeing - 1/11/2012, 7:51 PM
@RobertDanger I prefer his cameo in the Chuck episode Chuck vs. the Santa Suit
BIGBMH - 1/11/2012, 7:58 PM
Hmm. Since Chris is the only one who filmed with him, maybe it's possible Stan plays someone Steve knew from the 40s.
Linta - 1/11/2012, 8:10 PM
WINNING.........
SkateandDestroy88 - 1/11/2012, 8:22 PM
What can you say bad about this guy. He's the man.
If sucessfully reproduce again and have male offspring will consider naming him Stan.

Then can also pretend I'm Randy Marsh calling to son.

First kid was almost named Bruce.

Avengers will slay all. Might see Spiderman in theaters just to support Stan's stellar acting career.
GreendaleHumanBeing - 1/11/2012, 8:28 PM
Itd be cool if Stan Lee was himself and saw The Avengers saving Manahattan. Then makes an Avengers comic... very meta I know
NerdByBirth - 1/11/2012, 8:40 PM
@ RobertDanger Princess Diaries just became watchable.
SkateandDestroy88 - 1/11/2012, 8:42 PM
how do you know he has small balls did your mom tell you that happens sometimes when . . . .

wadepool - 1/11/2012, 8:44 PM
i think it would be really cool if he was revealed as the watcher and that is why he is in all the movies
BlindLemonShemp - 1/11/2012, 8:48 PM
the avengers finally got the 2nd thumbs up from me...

the first for being a marvel movie..

the second is like the final launch code, only with our commander in chief stan lee's approving consent
kingmonkeyman - 1/11/2012, 9:46 PM
Lol wadepool. He is old enough to be the watcher.
Jefferys - 1/11/2012, 10:01 PM
I'm pretty sure I've never seen him this excited for one of his cameos, since like, ever. I mean, the smile on his face that talking about his cameo brought to him was kind of cute actually; you know, for an old guy. These cameos is really what makes him get out of the bed in the morning, I mean, it's like he has anything else to do. He could easily live in bed. Oh man, what a life that'd be.
Silence1453 - 1/11/2012, 10:24 PM
I can understand his excitement. I mean the movie is like all of his children suddenly winning the nobel prize at once. World wide fame and glory. And being the Father of these children it must thrill him that time is still taken to recognize him as the father of all this. The man must be so excited to see all of his hard work culminate in the masterpiece of cinema we all hope this is.
Kendospawn - 1/11/2012, 10:25 PM
Is it possible?
Six degrees of Stan Lee?
Let's start the fun...
backup - 1/11/2012, 10:30 PM
I think he'll be one of the first to see a frost giant in new York and he'll say what the frick or some other curse word.
Vafrous - 1/11/2012, 11:34 PM
His cameos are cheesy and pointless...
NeoBaggins - 1/12/2012, 12:26 AM
He says it's great... as opposed to saying it's, terrible? Who knew. Sounds like a good guy in that interview. Very positive, cheerful.
GUNSMITH - 1/12/2012, 2:26 AM
STAN IS ODIN
comiccow6 - 1/12/2012, 4:05 AM
EXCELSIOR!!!
MaddMonkk - 1/12/2012, 4:09 AM
@videocolor- i know you are fishing so I'll bite. That was uncalled for and very rude. It shows you how much class you really have. You are not cool and what comes around, goes around. before long you'll regret making that comment. It's your opinion and you are entitiled to it. So am I.
MaddMonkk - 1/12/2012, 4:11 AM
@LordDarkseid-How do you feel about Nolan?? I wonder.....
Fogs - 1/12/2012, 4:31 AM
LOL, people hate even Stan Lee! Incredible!

DEAL WITH IT!

MaddMonkk - 1/12/2012, 5:04 AM
Peolpe are hating Stan Lee just to start trouble and we all know it. I usually ignore stupid little childish comments but this is just too much. Wishing death on him, making rude comments about his genitals, c'mon you guys are just wanting to show your ass and get a trool "badge" or get someone upset and giggle like a school girl while sitting at your computer. Stan Lee practically invented the American Mythology. He never has anything bad or negative to say about anyone even his competition. If you really hate him, state why! you guys come off sounding like immature children. If that's what you actually are then be proud, stand tall, hide your lunch money and kiss your mommy as you shuffle off to the short bus with your lucky red cap. Now how do you feel? still giggling?
MaddMonkk - 1/12/2012, 5:08 AM
@LorDarkseid- Well I admit that isnt the answer I was expecting, but can I ask you this without starting a big brouhaha. If you dont like the Avengers or Batman movies, why are you coming to this site?? Elaborate and maybe I can understand. I'm not trying to be a dick here I'm just curious. Thanks
NorrinRaddical - 1/12/2012, 6:22 AM
SPOILER: my good friend worked on the movie, helping shoot all the stuff we've seen photos of in NYC, central park, etc. keep your eyes peeled for a diner/restaurant...
NoAssemblyReqd - 1/12/2012, 7:38 AM
I first came to recognize Stan Lee because of his narration on SPIDER-MAN AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS. As a kid I thought he was just introducing himself by his first name.

"This is Stanley!"
MaddMonkk - 1/12/2012, 10:30 AM
AAAAGGGGHHHHH! there if you dont like Stan Lee!
