The Marvel Studios concept artist has created an incredible variant cover for Rick Remender and John Romita Jr.'s "Marvel NOW!" Captain America #1. If only this were a piece of concept art for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Hit the jump to check it out!

awesome art but didnt they forget to make him look like chris evans? on a side note i just wish marvel would have kept him with a mask instead of helmet

Wow! Sweet art, man. If Marvel Studios were to use this as their starting point for re-designing on Cap's suit for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Although, I'm still not too keen on those knee-pads that Cap is rockin'. I don't know. Seems off, IMO. Still, bad@$$ looking, nonetheless. :D

That's how I imagined Captain America... not Chris Evans. Sorry, I see Evans in the suit and I'm just not impressed.

I've said it a million times, they should've just kept his WW2 strap helmet for The Avengers with the new suit. still would've worked out awesome.

Damn, that art is so dope & it makes me pissed that Mark Valley wasnt chosen as Cap! I mean, Evans is ok, but c'mon that jaw?!? Mark Valley shouldve been Cap

Ryan Meinerding is truly one of the greats & I pray that this is the version of the suit they use in Cap 2. the chainmail on the suit, the black belt, It's beautiful

This should be Caps new look for the sequel...look how they re-worked Thors suit for his sequel, do the same for Evans as Cap.

Don´t worry guys... we are living in the reboots-era now. In 5-10 years we will see new cap, and I hope that would be the real Captain America and not the parody! And I almost forgot: I like his hair-style short and elegant :D

Wow, fantastic art! The suit is perfect as well. I always liked the chain mail look. That just defines Captain America. Hope that's the suit they use in Captain America: Winter Soldier!

Yes. Should definitely be his Cap 2 Costume (obviously they won't use the scales). It's pretty much perfect, and close enough to his Avengers outfit.
