i just hope they correct this travesty soon

Amazing Spider-Man has not be good at all since Brand New day. I think this is going to suck as well.
StarkAnthony - 1/2/2013, 9:29 AM
Spider-Man and Mary Jane can't be reunited if it's not the same person.
snufkins - 1/2/2013, 9:31 AM
Classy art.
Can't wait for the Superior Spider-Man!
BeeMo - 1/2/2013, 9:35 AM
Why the heck does he have claws or spikes on his fingers and feet? He can't have lost the spider power to climb walls, cause that's a physical DNA property, not a mental one.
Does somebody know?
SoapDogg - 1/2/2013, 9:40 AM
@Nomis
The silver parts of his eyes aren't eyelids. The new lenses on the Superior Spider-Man costume bulge a little bit, so it's just shadow from the depth on the eyes.

@TheRock234
I couldn't agree with you more! I haven't enjoyed the Amazing Spider-Man since before Brand New Day. I kept sticking with it, hoping it would get better (or maybe even out of some kind of obligation?) and then we ended up with the Superior Spider-Man.
SoapDogg - 1/2/2013, 9:42 AM
@BeeMo
The best I can figure is the claws are for fighting. Or maybe just for a more sinister look?
IronDean2099 - 1/2/2013, 9:52 AM
The Superior Spider-Man is the first time I've been intrigued by a 616 Spider-Man story since One More Day.
Natetrix79 - 1/2/2013, 9:52 AM
I haven't had a chance to read this yet, I'm waiting for the graphic novel but I'm real want to read this. If M.J. Reunites with Spidey & can't tell it's not really him then I'll know just how shitty this story will be but the rest of it sounds promising. I know people hate how Spidey went out but personally I think it was awesome, Spidey saves the world over & over & over again & he keeps getting kicked in the balls by life so now one of the villains that has caused him the most grief (besides Osborn) gets to go through what he does.
Natetrix79 - 1/2/2013, 9:53 AM
(Damn you spellcheck!!!!)
Spideyguy94 - 1/2/2013, 9:56 AM
The spider-man and Mary Jane reunited part intrigues me. They better not get them back together then as soon as Peter is back they break them up, because knowing marvel hate Peter Parker and Mary Jane together that's what they'll likely do. Also isn't ock having sex with mj while in peters body technically rape?
TrueMarvel - 1/2/2013, 10:12 AM
Damn that's good artwork. It would look alot better though if it was peter
CaptainObvious - 1/2/2013, 10:15 AM
Spider-Man and Mary Jane are not reunited because it's not Peter Parker under the mask.

@Spideyguy94- Yes. Sexual relations under false pretenses is rape. Another reason not to read SSM.
SoapDogg - 1/2/2013, 10:17 AM
Yeah. Just knowing that there is a douche hiding under that mask really peeves me.
Spideyguy94 - 1/2/2013, 10:20 AM
@CaptainObvious People should just go read Scarlet Spider, Venom and Ultimate Spider-Man if they want a spidey fix because all 3 of those books are fantatsic, with ultimate being tied for marvels best book with daredevil IMO.
abudabi8310 - 1/2/2013, 10:41 AM
Doc Oc and Mj getting it on scares the shit out of me!!! I dont mind what they doing but lets hope it doesn't last to long and when they bring back Parker it is awesome!!!!
juansam26 - 1/2/2013, 10:45 AM
CaptainObvious, please tell me what happens in this issue as you seem to know exactly what happens between Peter and MJ...
jimoakley666 - 1/2/2013, 11:08 AM
Gorgeous cover. Shame about the silly twist in the story. Wonder how Peter will get outta this one?
ChaosLord - 1/2/2013, 11:14 AM
The premise is stupid enough for me to never want to pick up another Spidey comic. It was dumb enough to pull a 'Freaky Friday' between Peter and Otto, then it dropped a new low with the "love scene" between Aunt May, and now it burns off the cliff with Doc Ock as the reincarnated Spider-Man. This is so bad even a Soap Opera would avoid this plot.
tomasocelot - 1/2/2013, 12:01 PM
can someone answer this question i get that peter died in otto's body, but i remember from my brief spider-man history that otto was able to control his extra arms with some kind of telepathy device. since he is alive in peter's body but still has ottos brain activity wouldn't the arms still be moving everytime he thinks of himself as doc ock. just wondering ?
AmazingFantasy - 1/2/2013, 12:57 PM
Honest to god I can't tell if I should read this.
GLprime2814 - 1/2/2013, 12:58 PM
@Beemo
Because in end of #700 as Peter takes his last breath he says ill be a better spiderman than you, a superior one.
I'm guessing he genetically alters himself to be more powerful than Peter, and that causes some mutations to his body, I bet his eyes are like 2099 and that's why he has thicker lenses.
GLprime2814 - 1/2/2013, 1:00 PM
* doc ock in peters body says^
jasonicus - 1/2/2013, 2:03 PM
God, this new Spiderman looks like shit.
bbarber2323 - 1/2/2013, 2:28 PM
@GLPrime...really dude? He made a new suit with more advanced lenses. Read Avenging SM 15.1. It's that simple.
Moakynubs - 1/2/2013, 2:44 PM
That's a very nice, iconic Spidey cover. ...no matter who's under the mask.
CaptainObvious - 1/2/2013, 2:47 PM
@juansam26- I already read issue 700 so I got my fill of Spider-Rapist. I will not be reading SSM at all. I simply do not care about what Marvel does with Spider-Man anymore.

In case I didn't need anymore proof...
MrDonut - 1/2/2013, 2:52 PM
Ok that looks cool, but I sill think its gonna b shit
I wouldn't mind the costume to stay when Pete returns though, it looks cool minus the weird hook shit
Jollem - 1/2/2013, 3:29 PM
have you guys actually read comics? crazier things have happened a lot of times and this will most likely not be permanent
Gose - 1/2/2013, 3:49 PM
Can't wait Mickey or Donald or Goofy gets to be the New exelsior Spiderman ....
TrueMarvel - 1/2/2013, 4:10 PM
Sex under false pretense... is rape. Nice job slott. implying rape. No wonder stan lee burned you on twitter.
Wildaniel - 1/2/2013, 5:23 PM
VIRILEMAN - 1/2/2013, 5:49 PM
That has to be the greatest picture ever in the history of all man kind.
Gose - 1/2/2013, 7:00 PM
Just like the all new X-MEN, the originals will be back and these crazy ideas will be TERMINATED ...
VIRILEMAN - 1/4/2013, 5:27 PM
Anyone who kept reading after One More Day and says they'd stop reading for whatever reason are full of crap. If One More Day didn't get you to stop reading, Peter Parker being gay and eating his own child wouldn't get you to stop reading.
