I like the flashback thing with Havok. Nice touch.

From the look of it its Thor. Not liking the idea of red skull using a dead xavier's brain, but lets see how tihs plays out.
TonyChu - 1/13/2013, 4:36 PM
Well the way I see it you can have Red Skull using Xavier's brain to control mutants or Xavier could have died and switch minds with Red Skull like some other series I know.

is havok wearing sweat pants and slippers in that cover?
TonyChu - 1/13/2013, 4:58 PM
@Sage Yeah I agree the artwork is quite bland but the writing is top notch so can't really complain. Same thing goes for the new Captain America run.

Cassadays hands down one of the greatest comic artists of all time, his Astonishing X-Men with Joss Whedon is one of the best collaborations in the history of comic books would love them to do an Avengers collaboration novel I'm sure Whedon has a thousand Avengers stories in his head right now too

This book is building up to slow.

And this will be out sometime around June. I like Cassaday and all, but he's an artist that should be used on an OGN or something. Let him get all his stuff in and then release it. Then again, the OGN would probably never come out.

IDK what's going on with Cassaday. I reread his run on Astonishing X-Men. His art in those books were top notch. His art in Uncanny Avengers though....

Is Thor pulling Cap by his ear on that cover?

@Marvel72 -- Amen to that. I'm having flashbacks to Astonishing X-Men when I'd be on pins and needles waiting for the next issue, and *whoops* -- better wait and extra month [or 2]. Absolutely frustrating.

Hey, aren't WE these guys' bosses? I mean, aren't we paying their salaries? Can we not tell em to stick with the monthly schedule? I really like Cassaday's work, but he is a repeat offender.

On the other end of the spectrum you've got JRJR, who cranks out tons of work ON TIME, but as was the case with AVX, sometimes it was just below par.

Soooo... either really good work that's never on time, or fairly crappy work that's on schedule.

I wanna job at Marvel Comics. I'd like to be able to eff off at my job.

I'm really not keen on Thor's new costume. It looks like a crappy cos-play. Much prefer Olivier Coipel's design.

This looks like a sports vest with some plates glued to it. The cape just looks silly with it. The helmet is okay but has bat wings on it for some reason. The gloves look like he robbed them from a gay motorcyclist.

There's just nothing of any visual interest on the whole thing. It's just a very lazy design. No armour, raised sections, regality, colour theme, fur, plating, design elements...
