That art is horrible
StuckInPanels - 2/15/2013, 12:20 PM
the artwork is amazingly terrible. It is not spectacular nor is it ultimate or sensational. If only it were more superior

SkywayTraffic - 2/15/2013, 12:41 PM
I was gonna ask what those giant black rectangles across each page were, but then I noticed it was their eyebrows.
CaptainObvious - 2/15/2013, 12:45 PM
So this is what became of Spider-Man after JMS left.

How the mighty haven fallen.
siggisuperman - 2/15/2013, 12:45 PM
I am usually pretty lenient but that art is pretty bad. Could be saved if the Inking weren't even more terrible
StrangeBlackPantherDoctor - 2/15/2013, 12:50 PM
Holy shit. Worse then Rob Liefeld.

The art looks like it wants to be Mike Alred, but it ain't.
Rothwilder - 2/15/2013, 1:54 PM
Every artist today can't compare with the detail of the late 80s early 90s. Everything is so abstract now.

It's like art for the WalMart consumer. Fast and cheap.
GLprime2814 - 2/15/2013, 1:55 PM
Wow eyebrows i, Thought those wer two caterpillars charging.
souhunter - 2/15/2013, 2:06 PM

FriendlyNeighborhoodSpidey - 2/15/2013, 3:20 PM
Art is bad. Alpha is stupid. This is just ugly.
HelaGood - 2/15/2013, 3:38 PM
god that art sucks!!!!!! striking this from my pull list....
Grievo - 2/15/2013, 3:47 PM
I like the art, just someone with an unconventional style. I see some Allred influence, and X-Statix wasn't a huge seller, but it was beautiful and maybe the best X book ever.
Darkknight23 - 2/15/2013, 4:51 PM
It'll sellout three printings
CaptainObvious - 2/15/2013, 4:56 PM
@Shamo- I mostly blame Joe Quesada because he is a moron who thinks marriage is for boring, old people and can't make for good drama.
LordHuck - 2/15/2013, 5:59 PM
But it is ^^^^^^^^^^^^
BlackWarrior - 2/15/2013, 6:18 PM
I already don't like Superior Spider-man, and now he goes and brings back Alpha...
DioFoRio - 2/15/2013, 8:51 PM
God damn that art is horrible! How is this dude working?
OtakuPapi - 2/15/2013, 8:59 PM
the art is crap
Rhino4508 - 2/15/2013, 11:39 PM
He covered up his eyebrows...Really? That's how you guard your identity?
AC1 - 2/16/2013, 3:03 AM
It's like an inverted Rob Liefield - Rob would add tonnes of muscles and shit to the characters, and draw their fingers in a slant (and no one would have feet), this guy draws them all looking like huge-eyebrowed drug-addicts with Annoying Orange faces.

This actually gives me hope that I can become a comic book artist one day. I mean, if this guy can get a job on Spider-Man's flagship comic, I should have a pretty good shot too (as should most people who can draw basic anatomy).
Spideyforevr - 2/16/2013, 6:27 PM
@ Black Warrior I agree with you dude this is crap. Alpha was a pain back then and now he is probably going to mess things up again.

Also people don't forget costumes as much as faces so people will remember him as who he is.
