POLL: What Do You Think Of The New SPIDER-MAN Costume? POLL: What Do You Think Of The New SPIDER-MAN Costume?

We've seen both an official image of the costume from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 AND a bunch of paparazzi pictures taken during filming in New York, so opinions about the redesigned suit are coming in thick and fast...here's your chance to cast your votes on it!

One of the biggest complaints about the costume used in The Amazing Spider-Man was that it simply wasn't faithful enough to the one seen in the comic books. Well, as we have now seen, the one that Andrew Garfield will don in the sequel looks like it was torn straight out of the pages of the comic books. However, it hasn't been met with a completely positive reaction, with many fans nitpicking even the most minor of details. Regardless, here is your chance to cast your vote on what YOU think of the suit. Be sure to sound off with your thoughts in the usual place!

In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

STARRING:

Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Sally Fields as Aunt May

RELEASE DATE: May 2nd, 2014.

Very close to the Raimi suit, but that's a good thing. The '02 suit is still one of the most faithful adaptations of a superhero costume from page to screen.

Im not sure who's bitchin about the costume because its spot on. You can't make everyone happy I guess.

The only thing I like are the eyes. Seeing that picture of him hanging, I don't really like the old feel much anymore. Hate to say it, but it looks too linear now I guess. There's no pleasing me.

The webbing of the suit looks raised in the promo pic but very flat in the street pics. I'm liking the non raised webs better

A HUGE IMPROVEMENT...JUST FOR EXPLANATIONS SAKE THOUGH IF YOUR BASING IT IN A "HOW HE COMES TO MAKE A COSTUME LIKE THIS" ...WELL HOW DOES HE? DOES HE KNOW SOME ONLINE PROFESSIONAL COSPLAYER COSTUME MAKERS?

Quit saying it looks too similar to the Raimi version. No it doesn't! It looks too similar to the comics version because that's what its [frick]ing based off of!

Looks like actual suit = complain it looks too similar to Raimi version

Go with a different look (TASM) = complain it looks nothing like the orginal suit

I just don't get people on here, I really don't

My only problem with it is the blue is too dark, too muted. Needs to be a few shades lighter and the silver web-lining, that has to be black. It only looks black in certain lighting, meh.

I look at this new suit and the suit from TASM makes me roll my eyes in comparison. This one really spoiled me and I like that.

i love the costume,if they had used it in the first movie it would of made that better then it was.

Too similar to the Raimi suit, but it's growing on me. Love that it's the most comic influenced Spidey costume to date.

I'm inclined to always hate anything Mark Webb has to do with Spider Man but I can't this time. The suit looks great.

Personally, and this is among the only times I'll say something like this, but I can't imagine how someone can be a genuine Spider-Man fan and not like how this costume has turned out. As much as I hate how they butchered the first movie, this is a very welcome step in the right direction.

If the movie is as improved as the costume, I will be a very happy man!

This is a great costume, but it is too simular honestly to the orignal movies IMO. Raised webbing again? Seriously?

Still it looks really great, especially compared to the one they did have...

Doubt we'll ever get a costume that actually looks like he made it himself. LOL but that's ok... I guess...

In TASM, they made the first costume believable, something that a genius kid could pull it off - plus the usual Hollywood magic. Now this costume... this costume is perfection. I'll make chorus to those saying that it's the best looking live action Spider-Man ever had. Andrew Garfield already looked like Spider-Man brought to life in the first one, I can't wait to watch the teaser for this bad boy, hopefully attached to Man of Steel, The Wolverine, Kick Ass 2 or Thor: Dark World.

From the neck up it looks better, but Ill reserve judgement until I see the whole thing. Make sense? I thought so.
CaptainObvious

@iJackSparrow- The problem with that is people, even teenagers, can make extraordinary things with clothing that look like something out of a Hollywood picture. It's not unrealistic for a teenager to make something like what we're seeing here. There is also another thing called suspension of disbelief. We can believe that Peter Parker would be able to creat a suit of this caliber. On top of that, nobody cares if it is possible for Peter to make a supehero costume or not and even if anybody did care, it would still be a minor nitpick.
NightForce
NightForce - 2/27/2013, 3:13 PM
This costume is literally the PERFECT Spider-Man costume! Even if you didn't like the first movie, if your a Spider-Man, how can you not like this costume. And if you want something to look like a teenager could make it, he'd be in sweatpants and a shirt with a spider drawn on it and a ski mask.

my friend was working background Monday when they filmed in midtown and said the suit was awesome and I trust her judgement...so thumbs up!
