Shame that Johns is leaving Green Lantern but I am really liking this story with the first lantern.

This is some DAMN GOOD art here.

I love the mismatched partners/buddy cop movie thing Hal and Sinestro have these days. They hate each other but they respect each other.

Sinestro: "I'm getting too old for this shit."

Johns does know how to write GL. Good read. He's almost as good as Gusto, almost not quite!

nice use of black-and-white in the art. Really adds to the story.

I like Johns but I havent been digging GL since Rise of the Third army. Hopefully this one is better.

Kudranski is such a talented artist. His work on Spawn has been consistently good, and his art in the Penguin: Pain and Prejudice book really spotlighted the creepiness of the character. I'm glad to see him working on other characters, and, given that Hal & Sinestro are supposed to be "dead," his art seems to lend itself well.

who the [frick] is Gusto?

YYEEESSSSSSS!!! Theyre finally bringing back the real Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, and finally getting rid of lamo Baz. I mean talk about the most boring two dimensional, no personalty, character ever, oh yea except for the whining that he always does.

Hopefully I can start picking this title up again.

Love Johns run on the Green Lantern, just hope they can keep the same quality after he leaves.

Really enjoy what Johns has done for the entire GL mythos, and continues to excel at it in my opinion!

Dont like Szymon Kudranski's style at all

Surprisingly, I find Simon Baz a much more interesting character than Hal Jordan. Hal Jordan only interests me when Sinestro is around.

First lantern story arc is great so far, better than the third army.
ShadowOfTheWeb - 3/4/2013, 9:52 PM
yes! this looks epic!
MutantEquality - 3/4/2013, 10:35 PM
yes Yes YES

I have missed Green Lantern since Blackest Night.

Might be about time to start again

They need to make Baz into a villain.
