POLL: Do You Want To See Christian Bale Return As BATMAN In JUSTICE LEAGUE?

With reliable sources claiming that Warner Bros. want Christian Bale back as the Caped Crusader in a Christopher Nolan produced Justice League movie, here is your chance to decide whether or not you actually want to see the actor suit up as Batman in DC's superhero ensemble.

The news that Christian Bale will possibly return as Batman in Justice League (which will reportedly be produced by Christopher Nolan and perhaps directed by Zack Snyder) has been met with a mixed response from fans so far. While many were excited to learn that the actor would reprise the role of Bruce Wayne in the highly anticipated superhero ensemble, others argued that it would result in the ending of The Dark Knight Rises becoming irrelevant. Here is what some of my followers on Twitter had to say when I asked them to share their thoughts on the rumour that Bale will return...

As you can see, it's a subject which gets a very passionate response from comic book fans! Despite worries about how the return of Bale's Batman would impact Nolan's trilogy and the character of John Blake, it seems clear that the majority would be extremely happy to see him return as the Caped Crusader. However, now we want to hear your thoughts on the subject, and what better way to do that than with a poll? We'd also like you to sound off with your thoughts on HOW Bruce Wayne could return after his "death" in the closing minutes of The Dark Knight Rises.

I'm happy with the way The Dark Knight trilogy turned out. I'm ready to move on and see something new.

With no cartilage in his bones I think that it would be hard for Nolan's Bruce to return.
MrE - 3/4/2013, 1:01 PM
Yes. Do it. Superman surprises Bruce with a last minute rescue. The scene at the cafe is Bruce reintroducing himself to the world after a short absence. He comes back to set up shop in Gotham. JGL becomes Nightwing with some proper training by Bats. I'm in.
JoeMomma29 - 3/4/2013, 1:02 PM
I say a new Batman is in order!

spidey1994 - 3/4/2013, 1:04 PM
YES! I want them to explain how the [frick] Bruce survived the nuke! That still bugs me about TDKR!
PsyBoy - 3/4/2013, 1:07 PM
YES. As long as they dont try to tie it back to Nolan's movies too much!
JDUKE25 - 3/4/2013, 1:08 PM
I'd rather we have a fresh start. But it's whatever. As long as something is actually in the works.
OrgasmicPotatoe - 3/4/2013, 1:08 PM
I'm all for it !

But please, PLEASE, stop reporting this as a new. It's only a rumour that ONE GUY reported. The article seems to acknowledge it is official.
Fastestmanalive - 3/4/2013, 1:09 PM
Yes, but mostly for continuity sake. Bale was an excellent Bruce Wayne but not such a great Batman.
TheBaroness89 - 3/4/2013, 1:10 PM
I want him back but A LOT of explaining has to be done and the Batman Nolan created...In what situation would Superman WonderWoman Martian Manhunter and Green Lantern need him for ? He is beat up,worn out and enjoying life with Selena
NoJobBOB - 3/4/2013, 1:10 PM
At first I didn't care but now Im like

Cool collage

@jCameron The mother[frick]er had 5 seconds to get out! How the hell did he get out of The Bat in 5 seconds?!
xSaintx - 3/4/2013, 1:11 PM
If I had to pick, I would rather see a newer, younger Bruce Wayne. Maybe pick someone that is an "unknown" and build on him. Make him the star the way Cavill will (hopefully) become. Develop a universe that recognizes everyone rather than just Nolan's Gotham. I adore that trilogy but the idea of an unknown actor getting signed on for 6 or more movies is a better route to go in my opinion. Bale, like RDJ would get extremely pricey after awhile and with that in mind... they might have to take on another actor sooner than just one or two flicks. It's understandable but also disheartening to the fans. I'm more of a Marvel guy but I'm excited for any CM property making it to the big screen... and I want something new this time.
JDUKE25 - 3/4/2013, 1:12 PM
Keeping Bale, since his Batman has been established with 3 movies, makes sense financially. He's an Oscar winner, well known, and is a familiar face to the movie going audience. But, his Bruce/Batman has internal damage, his knees are completely gone, he didn't use as many gadgets as he should've and literally only used his batarangs in Batman Begins......

Batman needs to be more gadget-oriented, SMARTER, more acrobatic in his fighting style, obviously not like Robin or Nightwing, but he does need to be more acrobatic, and please.......PLEASE.....can we have a new suit design. I'm tired of seeing the black on black TDK/TDKR suit.

He'll also need to develop more of a "don't take crap from anyone, even if they have superpowers attitude."
StrangerX - 3/4/2013, 1:13 PM
I was kinda hoping they would change the actor to start off a new series, but w/e its cool i guess
JDUKE25 - 3/4/2013, 1:13 PM
@NoJobBOB that gif lol
tonytony - 3/4/2013, 1:14 PM
Dont know if thats a good idea. Need to see how its done.
ChrisEl - 3/4/2013, 1:14 PM
How did Bruce survive the nuke? He's freaking Batman, that's how.
Hatsas01 - 3/4/2013, 1:15 PM
Nope. Tired of Bale and his awful Bat-snarl. New Supes - new Bats. Throw in a new GL too (wearing clothes this time). As much as I enjoyed Nolan's Bat movies, I never really liked Bale in the role.
Pooh - 3/4/2013, 1:16 PM
Christian Bale really looks the part of Bruce Wayne. George Clooney may have been the best at acting Bruce Wayne. But I don't think either of them showed the same strength of character that Michael Keaton had as Batman.

Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale
ATrueHero1987 - 3/4/2013, 1:20 PM
@Levi I thought you were against Bale returning as Batman in the JLA?

I like Bale and his Batman....but it's time for someone new.
poop23 - 3/4/2013, 1:27 PM
I'd really like to see someone else play him
pedroparker - 3/4/2013, 1:27 PM
Finally the common sense arrives to WB to fix Nolan´s stupid ending, but sounds to good to be true.
MrMartinMarvel - 3/4/2013, 1:28 PM
@LEVI Weren't you against this when the news first broke out?
HellsHammer - 3/4/2013, 1:28 PM
Are people still really saying Karl Urban and Armie Hmer? Give me a break Hammer is too much of a pretty boy to be batman. And Urban might look cool under the mask but NOTHING about him says Bruce Wayne.
ElBicho - 3/4/2013, 1:28 PM
ElMayimbe is about as reliable as a ladder with one leg.
DoubleD - 3/4/2013, 1:29 PM
All this talk but the JLA movie will never be made. Warner Brothers will back out before they get to far along or they will push the date to 2020. DC wants to make the movie but WB always gets cold feet. 2015 is out for sure they have not even started casting or anything
MarkV - 3/4/2013, 1:34 PM
I'm not sure about this. I love Nolan, but his Batman universe seemed a little too realistic. Just my 2 cents.
LucasMend - 3/4/2013, 1:34 PM
I'm ok with Bale's returning, but I'd like a less realistic batman, TDK trilogy batman doesn't fit such an universe with an amazon princess, a man of steel, a green lantern, aliens and a really fast man. Bring Bale back, but reinvent/reboot the character.
Facade - 3/4/2013, 1:35 PM
Recast everyone.
SmithWillSuffice - 3/4/2013, 1:35 PM
They could always turn Blake into Nightwing.
MrMartinMarvel - 3/4/2013, 1:36 PM
Are we forgetting this is just a rumor people?
NoJobBOB - 3/4/2013, 1:36 PM

THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - 3/4/2013, 1:36 PM
I love Bale as Batman but I am on the fence with this. I kinda want to see a new take.
DaveT - 3/4/2013, 1:38 PM
YES! GOD let us have a gritty pseudo=realistic angst ridden Justice League movie! And let's leave nothing on the cutting room floor. Two hours of grim wouldn't be enough! Make it Three!...no FOUR hours long!
NoJobBOB - 3/4/2013, 1:40 PM
I just hope this wont end up being a rumor that gets shot down cause Im excited now :[
StrangerX - 3/4/2013, 1:41 PM
Alright, well if it's a rumor I'm still rooting for Eric Bana
MrMartinMarvel - 3/4/2013, 1:42 PM
Should Marvel be worried about this turning out true? Or will WB screw it up anyway?
BenderDickCumPatch - 3/4/2013, 1:42 PM
Yeah, i hate people acting as if it's confirmed and are already saying Marvel is doomed an all that bull.

I want a new take, more comic book oriented. Fighting style, suit, everything.

Bale was the Best Batman on screen, but there are manythings can could be dixed wirh a new Batamn.

Karl Urban.
DanteSparda - 3/4/2013, 1:43 PM
Well, I have mixed feelings for this, I think Christian Bale is the perfect Bruce Wayne but not the perfect Batman, and that was good in TDK trilogy because that Batman was more human and storywise everything was more personal for him, but in a JL movie I'm sure Bale would be at least 80% of the time Batman and 20% Bruce Wayne and I'm not sure it would work as good as in TDK.

And about not rebooting Nolan's Batman I think it could work, Bruce would take the mantle once again because now the whole world in in danger, Joseph Gordon-Levitt would still be around but now as Nightwing, protecting Gotham city while Batman hangs out with the rest of the JL, but then again I have my doubts for a Christian Bale's Batman in a JL movie.
deearr - 3/4/2013, 1:46 PM
I do believe there is any way in hell this will happen.
deearr - 3/4/2013, 1:46 PM
Sorry ..... I do NOT believe there is any way in hell this will happen
thebatspider - 3/4/2013, 1:48 PM
Althought i dont like this idea, the thing I ask, is I dont want that they bring back the elements of the dark knight trilogy, justice league should be cómic book style, not realistic as I say before.
SmithWillSuffice - 3/4/2013, 1:49 PM
How did Bruce survive the bomb?

If you watch the scene closely, in the shot just before it goes off, The BAT is so far out of range you can't even see it anymore. Who says when it explodes the bomb is even still attached to it? For all we know he could've cut it loose, and gunned the throttle. We don't know if The BAT had any kind of thrusters or not, but he's Batman so it's safe assume it does.

NoJobBOB - 3/4/2013, 1:49 PM
NoJobBOB - 3/4/2013, 1:53 PM
@ TheDukeOfNY

Its possible. I just hope with JLA IF Bale returns that they at least mention it somehow and explain how he lived.
thebatspider - 3/4/2013, 1:57 PM
Besides bring bale back would not make sense, becuase they say before that in the justice league movie will introduce the new batman for the reboot, and now bale will back? Is really confused.
