Still love Simonson's stylized artwork but I gotta say, that looks like an Erik Larsen Hulk.

This is a great series so far. I hope Waid includes Absorbing Man & The Leader down the line.

SN: Why is Thor back in his original costume??
Daveymack - 3/31/2013, 2:41 PM
Love everything Simonson does. Especially Thor.

walter simonson is a legend of the industry,i loved his run on x-factor & his run on the mighty thor is considered the greatest ever!

every thor run is measured against this.....

I'm really enjoying mad scientist Banner after all the "Lonely man" stick. But seriously Hulk looks like he's using the toilet.
MatchesMalone1989 - 3/31/2013, 3:49 PM
Hulk Smash you like puny Banner!!!!!

This might actually compel me to go to a comics shop.

This is the Simonson that I would have hoped had shown up for those Avengers issues he did last year. They were horrible.

@ MARVELPSYCHO79

yeah mate,i love that x-factor run especially the "inferno" issues.

he also drew the classic uncanny x-men/new teen titans crossover book in the 80s.

I think when Banner opens that portal, it opens up to the past. Hence why Thor is in his original costume.
HellsHammer - 3/31/2013, 4:31 PM
Horrible art. Hulk look like he's taking a shit in the first panel.
PeaceMaker1 - 3/31/2013, 5:21 PM
When I saw the cover I thought I'd wouldn't be following this series anymore. But after seeing some of the internal pages I don't mind his style at all.
ATrueHero1987 - 3/31/2013, 5:28 PM
Guys, he's only doing this one arc.
CharlesLord - 3/31/2013, 6:16 PM
im not gonna lie...not feelin the artwork
scmittydude - 3/31/2013, 7:14 PM

@Ski,

Walt Simonson has more talent as an artist and writer than the majority of the creators in comics today.

yingyangpalms - 3/31/2013, 8:13 PM
Looks like Simonson still has it! Glad he didnt fall down the quality hill like Byrne, Lee, and Romita Jr.

Yu's art was good but I'm sick of the ultra realism thing. That horse has been beat to death.

This work from Simonson is the most attractive art I've seen from a Marvel rag in years!
thatcoldblackcloud - 3/31/2013, 8:25 PM
Simonson's still alive?

Jeez... The industry needs some new blood ASAP
thatcoldblackcloud - 3/31/2013, 8:26 PM
...and apparently some younger public...
yingyangpalms - 3/31/2013, 8:45 PM
@thatcoldblackcloud Uhh dude, they post stuff on here all the time from "New blood" and they all suck!
Simonson's art is superb! Much better than the younglings!
TheAcidSkull - 3/31/2013, 8:52 PM
it's okay, much better than i expected. guess simonson worked really hard. anyways it's just one arc so yeah.
StuartGreen01 - 3/31/2013, 9:06 PM
Ok, can someone answer this for me: since when is Banner's name Bruce D. Banner? Does this mean Marvel changed his name from Robert Bruce Banner to Bruce D. (and I assume the D means David) Banner? And if so, when did this happen?

Anyone remember a little thing called continuity? Didn't think so.
TerminalVoyd - 4/1/2013, 1:47 AM
@StuartGreen01

Mark Waid done went and goofed, methinks.
TheSuperguy - 4/1/2013, 10:55 AM
So is Simonson the regular artist now, or is Lenil Yu coming back? I'm not sure.
ComicBookGoth - 4/2/2013, 7:17 AM

i'm liking this.
